Seo In-gook is hungry in new Shopping King Louis teaser

Fist pump if you’re as excited as I am about Seo In-gook’s new drama, Shopping King Louis! It feels like just yesterday when his last crime-fighting stint with Police Unit 38 ended, but it’s already been a month. I’ve missed him all the same. In this upcoming MBC romantic-comedy drama, he plays the titular Louis, who is an amnesiac chaebol heir, originally raised in France to a life of high luxury. You can see him laying the charm on thick in this romantic little teaser, just released.
In it, Louis is introduced as a prince who grew up like a hotbed flower, with extreme delicate care. While his love interest, country bumpkin Go Bok-shil, played by Nam Ji-hyun (What’s With This Family), is labeled a natural beauty from Gangwon province. He’s a privileged youth with a shopping addiction while she’s a computer-illiterate mountain girl. In their last shot together, a teasing question floats in the air: “How did you two ever meet?”
To be honest, it’s not much of a teaser. There’s only one line of dialogue, but Seo In-gook kills it with his adorkable grin. He leans closer to a shy Nam Ji-hyun and whines in that endearing way of his, “I’m hungry. Give me food.” Words after my own heart, Louis. Now if only I could get a guy as hot as Nam Ji-hyun is cute to fix me a sandwich.
Youth survival romance drama Shopping King Louis will be broadcast on MBC Wednesday-Thursday, starting September 21 after W-Two Worlds finishes its run.

Best PPL is still Kaneda pillow from I Remember You because I totally laughed out loud and googled the brand.

I generally hate the 'country bumpkin' angle because shows tend to just make the character outright stupid for some cheap laughs

There had been so many remarks on the age gap between actors in recent dramas but did you guys know there's a gap of 8 years between nam ji hyun and seo in gook? Wow never would have known if I didn't look up the drama on wiki. Also they are totally doing justice to their on screen looks.

I think it's a combination of age gap and being underage and the genre of the coupling. It's not entirely "OMG DEY R XX YEARS APART. BURN THEM AT THE STAKE!!!"

Watching anything with Nam Ji Hyun in it! Also, she has amazing chemistry with everyone she works with. Not sold on the plot and I'm wary of the writer(no previous works to look back to), but loving the leads.
And holy crap, yoon sang hyun is exactly 22 years older than her. Aside from the fact that I hate big age gaps, I didn't even know he was that much older.

i feel like the "reply curse" doesn't apply to seo in-gook, if such a thing exists. at least, most of the male actors who've emerged from that franchise have been working pretty steadily, either in lead or side roles. (hellooo su-boooong!)
seeing him in high school king of savvy and i remember you makes me think that he's a nice actor to watch. he's not an acting genius or anything, but there's something about him that's just really comfortable to watch. he always seems to just slip into his character.
i just don't care much for nam ji-hyun, hence why i'm not overly excited to see this show. i've only seen her in bits and things here and there, and the only impression i've ever gotten of her was that she tends to overact and in a very noisy way. i'm pretty sure i've seen her play the country bumpkin somewhere else too. where did she spring from anyway? was she a child actress?

Can we stop letting media having the upper hands always by 'renting' their words as our own? I really hate the term 'reply curse'. It's like they are the one jinxed it in the first place..tsk tsk. Every time I'm reading about this curse,and I think there they go again. All the actors from all the reply series are at somewhere at their acting career and this all started from the series,sooner or later. And the media's already trying to give them a downer before they even start to run. Also some actors have always different priorities like jung woo, who only acted in movies for last couple of years. There are big stars too like gong yoo or hyun bin, who had acted in dramas considered as failure. So why only bother the reply actors lol.
I want you to know though I am just taking this opportunity to give my reaction on this 'media play'. This is by no means related to your post :).

I think the problem is some fans keep confusing the ratings curse with bad acting. It's not related. At all.
We all know that good acting does not translate to high ratings (and low ratings does not translate to bad acting). I don't want to start fights but think of some shows with great actors that tanked in ratings and think of some shows with mediocre acting but got high ratings. It's unpredictable.
The "Reply Curse" was just about how the immediate project after Reply is always low rating for most of the Reply alums. It didn't say that the actors sucked at all. That's why they assign this to a mysterious "curse". Because media is baffled how an alum who acted well in Reply and got high ratings there isn't pulling in large numbers for their succeeding project.
The coincidence is unexplainable. If they believe that Reply alums suck at acting, they wouldn't bother making up a mystical mojo about it and just call it "Reply actors suck at acting."
Actually, as a fan of most of Reply alums, I find this curse thing funny because rather than blame my fav actors, they're saying "There's no other reason for this actor's show to tank other than magic. Because their acting is good."

The character is amnesiac though, so let's hope he has forgotten that he could ever speak French in the past.
