Curious George Dong-chul cracks me up! I love that he’s been able to get away with so much just because he’s such a curious boy! Every time he lurks around Guseonwon, I’m just like, “Dude! You’re so gonna get caught!” But then I remember that all he has to do is do that little giggle-laugh-smile that he always does and say that he was just curious and/or wanted to help, and no one suspects anything. Really hoping he can keep up his act until the end. In Dong-chul We Trust!

    Maybe I’m not watching enough K-dramas (only following Age of Youth 2, Rescue Me, and Hospital Ship atm), but I actually haven’t seen any Subway cameos lately… totally not complaining! But is it just me? Has Subway made any reoccurring appearances in any other dramas, guys?

    On a more serious note: I was actually relieved to notice that this drama hasn’t been pushing the love triangle between Eun-jae, Hyun, and Jae-gul as much as I initially thought it would.

    I was glad that there was no back and forth and Hyun was always beside Eun-jae, but I also noticed how little we got to see of Seo-won as Jae-gul, and kinda missed seeing him around, along with In-shik as Joon-young.

    Can I just have more Lee Seo-won and In-shik, but hold the angsty love triangle trope, please? Thanks in advance, Show!

Okay, so I was always thoroughly entertained and intrigued with all the medical aspects of Hospital Ship and never really cared much for the romance between Hyun and Eun-jae, but hot damn, Kang Min-hyuk looks really hot here—it’s the watch, tbh. But it was really sweet of him to keep reassuring Eun-jae that it wasn’t her fault her mother died.

    HA, now that I see Min-hyuk’s face, I honestly think it’s really just the closeup of his hand and that big watch that’s got me like, “Ooh, hawt,” rather than his face, ’cause I don’t see him as “hot.” He’s cute.

          They really do. He has great hand shape.

          I could talk about hands for like… hours. How fingers move, and the angle of the thumb at certain positions and the ridges tendons make, and see that tendon at the bottom of his thumb there?^ and how it makes like a dimple almost? That’s my favourite part of the hand… where the thumb meets the wrist.
          Also long fingers. Lots of Koreans have nicely proportioned fingers to palms.

          I think it’s because the watch accentuates the hand and the wrist? Bracelets do the same thing, but different styles suit different people better. Personally, the same reason I like watches on people, like a strong sturdy watch, is the same reason I like leather bracelets. They’re usually thicker and I think possibly has something to do with strength and practicality? WOW okay… see… can talk about hands a lot./

            I knowwwwww!! Its crazy but I love watches and thick bracelets on guys too. I don’t much like chain or anything like that on men, just stuff that accentuates their hands. The last post I posted about hands was Lee Joon’s kiss scene in FiS and the way he just cups her face like its the most fragile and precious thing ever before he kisses her. *Swoon* I love when guys hold the back of the girl’s head when consoling them and cupping her face when kissing. Their hands just look so manly when they do that???

          I love hands for many reasons.
          I love them for artistic shape, I love how the body moves and works, so I love watching them and thinking about all the ligaments and tendons and muscles and bones moving and how they fit together to make angles and lines and shapes, and how hands have such dexterity which makes them that much more interesting.
          And how they look when they frame something, or pick something up. Strength and capability and also makes me want to draw them except HANDS ARE SO HARD TO DRAW.
          I love them because they hold stories. Like hands can tell a you a lot about a person. Are they worn? Calloused? Tanned? Scarred? Long and thin? Short and thick? How are the nails kept? Rings, or no rings? (SIDE NOTE I LOVE GUYS WITH RINGS, NOT WEDDING RINGS ACCESSORY RINGS that could’ve come out wrong) Piano hands, or builders hands? Artists hands or bakers hands? Cute, small, slender, strong. Veins? Tendons? Hitchhikers thumb? Flexibility?

            So many kinds of hands! I draw too bu mainly wall murals and animals/landscapes over people. People are super freaking hard to draw, so I do end up drawing a lot of hands/silhouettes/neck and shoulders, etc. over full portraits.

            I guess its party that that draws me to hands. I, very specifically, love lean hands on guys with long fingers and short nails, and callouses. Specially if they have a lot of veins running over their arms and on the back of their hands. I feel like those hands usually belong to artistic people and they look just elegant? But also manly?? And veins and callouses just show they do a lot of work with their hands and ahem, we all know what that means. 😛

            And yes minimal accessories on guys is beautiful! I love those Celtic knotted bracelets? They look like cords crisscrossed over metal charms and just look beautiful on a guy’s wrist.

            Also watches! When I was a kid literally every single picture I took with my dad had me touching his watch. I just loved the leather feel of it? And that kind of lead to adult me who still loves watches on men. It makes them feel more strong and dependable for some reason. There is no logic to it, but that’s just the feeling I get. Which obviously just makes guys look hotter.

            And yes I love to see how the hand moves and holds things. Specially when they hold things with their fingers just cupped around? Holding someone’s face when kissing is obviously one of them. Very little makes me swoon more! And holding the steering wheel when they drive! Lol I died when they had this conversation in I Need Romance 3 about hands and steering wheels. 😛

            Oh yes! I don’t like it that much when a guy just puts his hand on the girl’s back and abruptly pulls her in for a kiss. I’m looking at you Lee Jun Ki. Takes me out of the moment completely! So yes agreed hand placement is super important in a kiss scene.

          For me, that totally depends on context and how the girl reacts.
          It can be very crude. Sometimes it can be ok.
          Back placement can be hot though… specially if he moves his hands a lot (like the really long kiss in Tomorrow With You? I like that kiss…)
          But if the guys being an asshole then yeah, super detracting.

        Mhm! I think a wristwatch really completes an outfit. I think it also really gives a person a dash of sophistication. It’s the perfect accessory! AND IT’S USEFUL!

        Also, I don’t know where to reply to you in regards to the hand placement during kisses, so I’ll just say it here: I’m a total sucker for hand-cupping-face kisses, along with comforting hand-on-head! They’re such a simple gestures, but they really make the moment more meaningful and special.

This scene was sad (I feel so bad for Hyun and his dad), but I couldn’t help thinking that it probably suddenly rained because Kang Min-hyuk couldn’t get any tears out when he cried, so they opted with rain, zoom out, and cue Ha Ji-won, holding a very lovely umbrella. I want that umbrella!

Hi, y’all! Hope you all have been well!

So I started watching Age of Youth 2 because I loved and adored the first season and had a good feeling I’d feel the same way about the second. Although I was initially bummed about the major changes between the first and second seasons, once “Dick & Jane” kicked in, I knew everything would be okay. Lo and behold, in comes Choi Ara as Jo Eun (who is totally my second girl crush now, btw), just friggin’ charming my socks off with her effortlessly cool charisma. Eun/Ara’s most definitely my favorite thing about s2 and when she’s with Jang-hoon/Kim Min-seok, my fangirl self smiles a little more and squeals a little louder because they’re both so friggin’ adorable! So yes, this was totally an excuse to share my newfound love for Choi Ara, as well as a sort of prologue for all the future Ara/Eun posts I’ll be making. Let the fangirling commence!

      Oh hi, Rainbow! I accidentally went MIA on here again and time just flew right on by. I’ve been well, thank you! I experienced hurricane Irma and luckily, my family and I were among the fortunate ones to not have suffered any damages. I’m still only on ep 9, so not entirely caught up w/ the latest eps yet, but ARGH, the cult’s so damn crazy and Sang-mi’s family members have all pretty much lost it, so I’m just like, “GURRRL, PLEASE.     And I’ve had my doubts about the male leads and pretty much everyone but Ha Ji-won, but I’m really really happy to report that everyone’s charming and holding their own and I can’t wait to see Ha Ji-won’s chemistry with the guys.

      Of course it is! And y’know, I actually saw it coming, too. But I thought the character would get into an accident on their way back home or something, so that phone call got me bad. Because the character never got to see Eun-jae, I had a feeling something was gonna happen to them, so while they were leaving the hospital, I kept thinking they’d fall down the escalator or someone was gonna attack them or something. After so many years of K-drama watching experience, you just know, y’know?

        Just finished the most recent one. Need to sleep now–but Labor Day tomorrow! I’m trying to figure out what that ECG showed before I do though…It doesn’t look really obvious to me what’s going on there, but it could be that I suck at reading ECGs or that the props department just put in a random ECG with nothing wrong with it! I’m trying to see if I can find all the things that were written in her mom’s hospital chart, but they just gave me a couple good leads and the others are not clear. Now, I’m reading ECGs on-line. LOL!

    Ahh all your screencaps posts on Hospital Ship is making me wanna watch that drama, but I can’t really afford to commit another ongoing drama right now. But..but..it’s really tempting to watch this drama.

      Hee. Watch it while it’s early? There’s only two eps (split into four parts) out rn. I think the split eps really work well with this drama because the first ep just flew right on by. It was a really fun and easy watch. I know what you mean, though. I actually have a bunch of currently airing dramas that I’m way behind on, and yet I started watching this, so I’m on the same boat (hur) as you.
