News about upcoming drama My Ajusshi got me thinking about how nice it’d be to have Kim Go-eun and Lee Seon-kyun team up again and reunite after being together in The Advocate: A Missing Body.

Negl, I only watched Go-eun’s parts, along with her parts with Lee Seon-kyun, so I can’t even tell you what the movie was about. But what I can tell you is how fabulous these two were together.

    She looks adorable here! The hair, the smile! Also Lee Seon kyun’s smile! It’s so weird- everytime I look at him, his voice automatically rings in my ear! 😛

      She does! She pulls off any style! I kinda wanna see her in bangs again. She looks a lil’ different in the movie posters, though. More “cool,” and no bangs. Hahaha, I hear his voice in my head when I see him, too! Mr. Voice, right there. They’re both great actors, and I’d love to see them together again one day.

      They all look really cool in the posters, actually. I absolutely LOVE Go-eun’s outfit here.

      Yeah, they’re great together! They kinda have a thing in the movie, but like, they’re not really on friendly terms. She’s cold, and he’s always playfully teasing her. I literally only watched their parts, but they have great chemistry. I think Kim Go-eun had fabulous chemistry with everyone she works with. The same can be said for Lee Seon-kyun, too.

    On a more serious note: did anyone know about this? I’m pretty sure it’s legit, but I actually haven’t checked out the official site yet. If it’s indeed legit, anyone else interested in participating? My goodness. I wonder who the K-celebs are gonna be, but even if it’s like a nugu celeb, I’d be ecstatic just being able to BE in South Korea in the first place! Omg. This sounds like an amazing opportunity for all K-pop/drama/culture fan.

      I do think this one’s legit. I’ve seen it too on FB and even YT has the video submissions already. Though the ones I’ve seen has the girls speaking Korean. Their accent is good too! Good luck @chingu! Beanies have your back! 🙂

      I think I will, yes! Since they’re allowing groups of families, I’m gonna see if my family’s interested in participating, and we’ll just all have a sit down and record our submission together.

      I’m kinda confused about the dates, too, but someone mentioned that it’s probably because this was a last minute decision and since it was last minute, they had to extend the deadline. It’s weird, but I guess we’ll find out eventually.

      I actually haven’t thought of the travel expenses, since I just assumed they’d fly the winners out. Oh, it better be covered!

          What a fun question! DEFINITELY Kim Go-eun, because she’s my favorite Korean actress and I’d love to be able to meet her, get to know her, have her sing for me, and just be able to tell her how talented and beautiful I think she is and how excited I am to see her continue to grow as an actress and tackle many more projects in the future.

          Hmm… I have a feeling the celebs are gonna be idols, rather than actors, and I don’t think popular celebs would be part of this, BUT, I’d love to be roomies with Park Bo-gum (I HAVE to witness his Angel Boy image irl to see if he’s really the sweet lil’ cinnamon roll that everyone claims he is. Pft, I’m sure he is, but still).

          I could list a bunch of my faves, but I’m gonna try to think of people that I’m familiar with their rl personalities and think we’d get along well. There’s IU (she seems nice and I’m a fan of her as an musician), Park Bo-young (she also seems like a sweetheart), Yoo Jae-suk (my mom loves him and Running Man, so this would make both of our dreams come true, haha), Kim So-hyun, Kim Yoo-jung, Kang Ha-neul, Kim Seul-gi, Kang Ki-young, Yoo Inna, Yoo Seung-ho, Yook Sung-jae, MAMAMOO, AKMU, Park Ji-min from 15&, Hyeri or Minah from Girl’s Day, Park Hae-jin (I’ll tell him about @azzo1, haha!), Lee Hyun-woo, Kim Soo-hyun, Lee Seung-gi, Ha Ji-won, Song Hye-kyo, and Kang So-ra. I’m forgetting a bunch more, but yeah, pretty much any of those people! Haha.

            Wow. That’s a good long list. I’ve been seeing stuff about Hyori’s home stay on DB – she’d have enough room but I think that’s in Jeju. I’d be interested in the locations. You know if you could stay in that place with the lion statues in Coffee Prince or the Jade Garden in Moorim School, the house in Secret Garden.

            Oh man, if I could enter I would want them to deposit me in Kim Eun-sook’s house. I don’t think I’d want a tv celebrity because appearing on tv with my hijab would be tres awkward.             I was thinking of a rooftop room but there are quite a few so it would be hard to narrow it down. Let’s think. There’s Louis and Bok-shil’s place but there’s been a scary visitor. Gong-shim’s but it had a leak. Han-kyul’s but it’s more like a regular apartment.

        It’s not showing my face on the show I’d be worried about, it’s that I’m awkward as heck on my own in front of a camera when I know it’s for something like this and I speak weird when I know I’m being recorded like that.

    About the shooting schedule, don’t you think they mean that it’s late Aug-Sep 2018? That would explain a lot. They need time to sort through all the applications and rope in all the celebs after all lol.

    It sounds like it’d be the most awkward thing ever just watching this show, but also like it would be a fun and extremely unique way to experience South Korea. I’m sure I’d be super selfconcious and end up goofing around like a crazy person while checking my reflection in the mirror for the umpteenth time to make absolutely sure there’s nothing in my teeth while forgetting that the cameras are filming checking myself in the mirror lol. Hence, I will NOT be applying 😛

    I wonder if the celebs will be chosen based on Eng skills or the guests on their Korean? Or will there just be an interpretor and everyone can just be extra awkward? 😛

      it would be a fun and extremely unique way to experience South Korea. YES! Exactly, exactly! I’d cringe before, during, and after watching myself on the show (that is, if I even watch the final product), but unless I goof up real bad, I’d secretly love being was part of this.

      Haha, I’d probably check myself every five minutes, too, but I’d hope that someone would be attentive and kind enough to tell me if I had something on my face or like, corn in my teeth, rather than letting me go all day w/o telling me (that’s happened before–I came home from school and my sisters were like, “Uh, you have some corn in your teeth,” and I was, “WHAT.”). I’m most likely gonna apply with my family, so at least I’ll have some trustworthy and dependable peeps with me. Haha.

      I’m assuming there’ll be interpreter(s). While it’ll be helpful for both parties if the guests had some Korean-speaking skills and vice versa, I don’t think that’s too much of a factor since they’re explicitly calling for non-Koreans. That’s actually one of the reasons why I’m so hyped about this. Haha. It’s like, just calling my name! Now I’m wondering if all the traveling and living expenses will be covered, but I’m thinking it is since this is like a contest, so it’d make sense to fly the winners out for free.

            No, don’t say that! You’re right–I tried looking, myself, and they don’t seem to sell any extra Goblin merch anymore. They used to sell those PPL candles that was used throughout the drama, along with various Goblin plushies, but I guess they took it down. 🙁 they used to sell ’em in sets, too, like you can mix and match the candles (they came in white and black) with the plushies (there was Mr. Buckwheat and the grim reaper plush).

      Hello @chingu, it has been a while since you have been here. Miss you. I am generally fine, packing and getting ready for university. I am pretty much just watching Father is strange (it is ending and I am so saddened), School 2017 (I am not in love with the Great Taewoon but he is so very much charming and funny 😂 and the show is great fun) and Hyori’s homestay (a delight as always, so relaxing and calming). I have mixed feelings about Reunited Worlds (I find it boring and unoriginal and slow and sweet and cute-the truth is I have no interest in the characters so I am close to giving up on it) and waiting for Age of Youth 2 subs 😩😩

          I will be studying Politics and International Relations on the coast, about 8 hours away from me 😅. With Reunited Worlds, I do feel sad about it, I think that it was because the plot slowed down a lot and it seemed like the male lead was doing nothing about his mission and there was a lot more focus on the romance. I did go and watch the new episodes and it seems to be back on track. School 2017 is great fun really, you just want to root for the characters and their mission and Hyori’s homestay is good as a filler show, it is kind of like a hot chocolate, warm and cosy.

            Oh, I can see how that can be a little frustrating, since I remember looking forward to see how the Yeo Jin-goo’s character would prove his innocence after finding out he was framed for murder. I also really liked Chef, so I kinda shipped him with the female lead, which was never gonna happen, but still… Glad to hear it’s back on track!

            Welp, will have to check out both Hyori’s Homestay and School 2017, for sure.

          Ah, I gotcha. Uh… kinda? Haha. It’s honestly been the same, I’ve just started sleeping/waking up earlier and having no extra time to DB, so that’s what happened. And what little time I did have, I actually spent writing my submission piece for this month’s challenge to revisit an old drama. I rewatched Soulmate and wrote about it. Eep, writing is so hard for me now, so it took me way too long and by the time I finished it, I realized I was too afraid to spoil the drama, that I ended up not elaborating enough and didn’t talk about all the funny lil’ quirks that made that drama special and unique. On top of that, I literally finished it the day before the deadline, but didn’t wanna not send it, so now idk if it made it and will ever be posted on here, but since I’m not satisfied w/ it, I’d be okay if that was the case. Will just post it on my profile later on.

          ANYWAYS, I’m behind on Moonlight, too! Still on ep 10, I think. I’m failing you, Bogummy! Omg, are YOU on the Swoon 2017 train, too? Haha.

          Hahaha, okay, let’s not talk about that, then. But omg, how cool! How long was the concert and were there any special guests? The whole experience must’ve been super surreal, huh? I remember that’s how I felt about my first K-pop concert, SMTOWN in LA back in… uh, 2010, I think.

          I struggled so much because I started late and didn’t have much time, but I didn’t wanna give up since I was so set on writing it, but now I’m actually too embarrassed at the thought of seeing it posted, so I’ll be totally okay if it didn’t make it. Yep. I gave you a shout-out in it, though. Because unlike @sicarius, I just don’t have the ability to easily whip up multiple-page essays about my thoughts and feelings about a drama, so I had to choose wisely. Haha. Didja rewatch anything, though?

            It was about 3hrs. No special guests, this is New Zealand, nobody brings anything special to us are you kidding me, it’s expensive enough just getting here. It was really cool. I feel like I have a very tame reaction compared to some people, but I’m just not much of a screamer. He was great, the fans were annoying at times, but I miss him already if that makes sense.

            Kinda normal though. Most concerts I’ve been to have been around the 3hr mark. Then again I haven’t been to many haha.
            Uhm 1) GD had a concert in Miami. And a peaceminusone pop up 😛 2) Only 3 Kpop artists have EVER come to NZ, and they’ve all been in 2016/2017.
            Hahaha it takes a bit for something like that to sink in I think.
            Ehhh yay haha. Yes! That’s partly why I went, because it’s such a significant tour. 🙂

          You’re probably right. I think I was underestimating how long three hours can be. I haven’t been to many concerts, either. I don’t remember how long the SMTOWN concert was, but since it was a good chunk of the SM artists, I think it was quite a long time. I’ve also been to a local concert and it was probably around the same amount of time, too. Silly me. Excuse me. Haha.

          OMG, OKAY, so please excuse me again. I don’t remember if I ever knew about GD in Miami, but that reminded me that awhile back ago, I came across a poster advertising GOT7 in Miami! Also, VIXX was actually right here in town not too long ago, too.           I probably wouldn’t have ever found out until who knows when if we didn’t have this discussion. Now I’m super stoked to check it out. I’ll post about it!     Hello! I too am on board the School 2017 ride and commenting on all the recaps for the first time ever. And also diligently checking all of KBS’s drama channels for making films and teasers for the next week (they don’t release them with the Tuesday eps because the live shoot schedule is tight). And also making a lot of gifs. I’m a goner for this show 🙈

    The main couple supply the most cracktastic parts of the show but it is so much more than that; I rarely get invested in a show that only revolves around the romance. I’m probably going to retreat a bit from DB after the run ends though, I have to start writing my thesis for school :'(

      I’m so behind on all my shows (Strongest Deliveryman, Rescue Me, and Reunited Worlds)! I rewatched a couple of old shows like Soulmate and Sam-soon. I finished the American series Orange Is the New Black, and I’m also watching Younger, another American show.

      My sister’s well too, thank you! She and her older sister are back in school now and she’s part of this dual enrollment program that allows her to take college classes while she’s still in high school, in hopes that by the time she graduates high school, she’ll also earn a college degree, as well. Her classes start on Tuesday! It’s exciting! I’m very happy and proud of her. I want my other sister to be able to take advantage of this opportunity, too.

            Yes, 10 years, we were kids back then with no money but in love with Italy so we decided to make a dream-trip plan! Actually, we wanted to go last year in August but everyone said that Italy in summer is a no-no so instead we went to other countries in Europe! Definitely the gondola ride in venice, two single girls, being serenaded, not desperate, not at all 😂 Also, food festival in Rome, that’s going to be fun!

            Aw, haha! Don’t feel bad. 🙂 Candy’s just new to DB and hasn’t gotten the hang of chatting on here yet, that’s all. I told her about a trick I use when I’m on a desktop/laptop to keep track of my notifs when replying back, so that helped her a little.

      Haha, yes! She’s my baby sis and she started registering for a DB account as a joke to tease me because she knows I’m a DB addict/am always on. She actually went through w/ it (to her surprise, too. Like I remember her saying, “Omg, I actually did it!”) and created an account, but she’s not very active because she doesn’t watch K-dramas. She watches w/ me sometimes, though. I tell her she can post about K-pop, too. She made this hilarious mashup of one of the Fight My Way OSTs w/ BTS’ Jimin and I’m like, “Omg, you need to find a way to post this on DB.”

        Aww ❤ You two sound really adorable, my sisters aren’t K-drama addicts, they are just casual watchers and I can’t even get them to open a DB tab, let alone register, it’s gonna take a lot of work (you know how long it took me to get them to start warming up to my Oppa).

        Is it on DB? Her wall? Haven’t watched Fight My Way, is it spoiler free, tell me so I could watch it!

    On a scale from 1 to 10 how disturbing/scary is this drama? I want to watch it but I also enjoy being able to sleep at night lol

      I’m a scaredy cat but I didn’t find it scary. Probably 7 for disturbing though. The cult creeps the hell out of me. So far very interesting and it has a movie feel to it.

        YES to the movie-like feel! I think it mostly has to do w/ the widescreen, but the overall dark and gloomy color, along w/ that blue tint, just adds to the movie-esque feels, which was cool.

        I watched it at night, in the living room, w/ the lights turned off, and it really wasn’t bad at all. I’m sure the cult scenes will become more creepy, but it wasn’t too bad. Didn’t expect that one violent scene, though.

          Probably because the director has mainly done films so he’s used to having that kind of cinematography.

          Oh tell me about it. It was super unexpected and I cried hard.

      Haha! Good point! Well, I watched ep 1 at night, in the dark, and was able to sleep and had no nightmares, so I think you’ll be okay.

      Honestly, I thought ep 1 wasn’t all that creepy. It was gloomy as heck, though, but not too disturbing and/or scary. It had a more eerie feeling to it. I’d give it a… 5? If you’ve watched the teasers+trailer, then you’ve pretty much seen all the creepy parts from ep 1, w/ the exception of one violent scene.

      I mean, I assumed he’s second lead because even though he’s a more charismatic actor in comparison to Taec (sorry, Taec), he’s a relatively new actor/just recently came back to the big+small screens, and Taec has more star power(?). You can kinda tell (based on the positions in the promos) that Taec’s main lead, too. BUT that doesn’t mean Do-hwan’s not gonna shine and steal his way into the spotlight, though, which he’s already doing, imo. All that said, I KNOW I have SLS here. Sigh.

        What I’m kind of hoping for is that Taec is the hero, like he goes and saves her, but the most their relationship gets to is her Forgiving him for that time on the rooftop, because that’s probably going to be one of the main factors that makes him go after her. And then Do-Hwan gets her romantically, because he looks back twice and he was the one who helped her out.

        I don’t there there is going to be a lot in terms of romance though, but maybe some cuddles and a smooch.

        Also, if I am wrong about my predictions (which I probably am)… that means I actually have proper second lead syndrome for the first time in dramaland.

      That’s what my gut feeling is tellin’ me. I feel like he’d end up sacrificing his life or die a heroic death just so that we don’t have to see him be heartbroken. I haven’t even watched ep 2, yet, but I’m already thinking of the worst just because I know he’s gonna be heartbroken.

          Haha, nope! He’s the new cutie on the block! His name’s Woo Do-hwan and he certainly IS in something new! It’s the new drama that just came out called Save/Rescue Me. He’ll be another reason for me to check out The Man Living in Our House, then.

      I had a feeling he would the moment I saw his face in the promo pics. He’s got such a unique face. DEFINITELY Seo Kang-joon’s doppelgänger! Also looks like Ryu Joon-yeol and Choi Jin-hyuk! But yes, he’s definitely a scene stealer and a star on the rise. I can feel it!

    I was so happy to see that the chef was played by Jo Hee-bong! He’s great and he’s everywhere, but he’s also really good at making minor characters memorable, leaving a major impression. Loved him in Tunnel!

    As for the lady actress, it’s my first time seeing her, but I love her character’s confidence, sass, slight quirkiness, and hint of sweetness. She’s good.

Y’all tell ’em!

I can’t w/ scenes like the daughter pointing fingers and the mom being ignorant. I get that you want what’s best for your children and want them to succeed, but DO NOT look down on others and what they have to do to succeed in their life.

I just love how feisty and proud Dan-ah and Kang-soo are of themselves and what they do (as they should be), and aren’t afraid to let others know what’s up. These guys are fab. I’m rooting for y’all, y’all know that, right?
