Beanie level: Noble idiot

I’d forgotten how much I loved this show ❤️❤️❤️

    Hmmm…what’s this drama?

Queen In-hyun’s Man. So so good.

I’ve been in the mood for a romance first drama. Is this it?

        1
        3

          Yes it is. 😊😊

          2
          0

Yes. Two of the best protagonists out there. It’s really a shame that Yoo Inna hasn’t had more lead roles.

          4
          0

I love it, so I’d definitely recommend it. It’s also one of TvN’s older dramas, so it is 16 episodes that run for 45-50 minutes each, so it’s easier to watch than some of their more recent dramas 🙂

Kim Boong-do is still my all-time favorite hero in Dramaland -wicked sense of humor, intelligent, so much integrity, and loving Hee-jing the way she needs to be loved. This is still the romance to beat for me….no other OTP can surpass their electrifying chemistry!

        3
        2

He was the first hero that I watched in k-dramas that I was like “wait, you don’t have to be a jerk at first to get the girl?”

Man, I think I need to re-watch this next.

          2
          1

Hahaha! I love how he is willing to put up all the cringe-inducing cheesy stuff Hee-jing wants to do😆

This is also the only drama that made me burst out sobbing when he thought all hope was lost….

            3
            0

Oh yeah, I love that he totally acts as if he buys her whole “this is the point of wearing a tie” and when he recites the goal-keeper line to the ex-boyfriend even though he has no idea what it means. He just follows along because he’s just so enamored with her.

Initially I was not sold on Strongest deliveryman, but this week I fell in love ❤️
Particularly this conversation Kang Soo had with Jin Kyu:

Do what you want to do, and I\’ll do what I want to do. The rest is for Dan ah to decide, not us.

All you beanies doing a BOF rewatch are making me confused, I want to join in the fun, BUT that would mean actually rewatching that ridiculous show 😟
I might just have fun reading all your posts 🙂

Just enjoy the fun of the posts without the pain of actually rewatching 😉 😊

    3
    2

Yeah, I think I will 😁 I’m in the middle of marathoning what happens to my family? As well as live watching 7 shows, so I have no time!

      That’s what I’m doing!

I swear it wasn’t this ridiculous the first time I watched it! Maybe I was just too naïve and enthralled to know any better….

All of you guys seem to be having whole lot of fun and it is so tempting but I don’t want to rewatch the sho because it being my first show, I had some fond memories of it as I watched it with by brain shut. Watching kabsy’s posts alone, I am realizing that it was so stupid and now I pay special attention to dialogues, earlier I didn’t and the dialogues are making me despise GJP badly. I don’t want that good memory to fade but for once I do want to watch that show critically.

Okay, I’d better stop at 3 episodes for tonight, it is now after midnight and I need sleep! Good night, Beanies 🙂

On the recommendation of fellow beanies, I started watching what happens to my family?
I knew nothing about it, imagine my surprise when Nam Ji-Hyun pops and then a minute later Park Hyung-Sik ❤️❤️❤️

Yay! It is a lovely, touching, heartwarming family drama, my first ever. Enjoy 😊

Excellent choice! The two of them are adorbs in this show. It was a good drama, full of heart ❤️. Love the patriarch of the family! I cried buckets towards the end.

    Enjoy!!

Thank you! I’m only 2 episodes in but they are already being adorable 🙂

I just realized that Nam Ji Hyun has gotten lovelines with 3 of my fav great actors – Seo In Guk, Chang Ji Wook and Park Hyung Sik. How lucky can a girl be? Dying of jealousy but since I like her, I will let it pass kekeke

        2
        2

Nam Ji-Hyun has recently become one of my favourite actresses, I first saw her in shopping king Louis and I loved her. But still jealous 😊.

          1
          2

Me too! I haven’t seen her in anything prior to Shopping King Louis and wasn’t thrilled that Louis is stuck with a country bumpkin, based on the show sypnosis but oh boy, I’m glad how wrong I was! She and In Guk were such a delight and their chemistry was awesome (In case you can’t tell, SKL is one of my fav show ever and In Guk is my #1 Oppa 😄)

            1
            0

In this show, Nam Ji-Hyun played another country person but she played her role with such heart and sincerity (and more importantly not a doormat) that I don’t hold it against her. Maybe I should behave more like a country girl too so I can have 2 good-looking guys fight over me 😂

            1
            0

And you have good taste, they really are 3 great (and attractive) actors 😁

i hope you’ll enjoy it like me and other Beanies.

I just finished the last 4 episodes. 💛 It was my first family drama and I loved every minute of. I tried watching Five Kids after that but I couldn’t get into it as much.

Thanks to obsessedmuch, I thought I’d join the fun. It’s nice to learn new skills (and this is an important life skill) 😁 So here it is my first gif – this scene still still makes my heart hurt 😭

I really loved Coffee Prince when I was watching it for the first time but every time I’ve tried to rewatch it I haven’t been able to get into it At.All. but this gif makes me want to try (especially since I’m in a live-watch void)

Looks like someone\’s going on a rampage through the news about Yang Se-Jong and Seo Hyun-Jin\’s drama. I got my first downvote 😮 I feel like a real beanie now I\’ve been through this rite of passage 😁

*Pats* I wish my first downvote were for an opinion that someone else didn’t accept but that I stood by, but it was a random downvote (like yours) so it felt sucky. You’ll feel okay after a while!

Bahahaha… Anyone else remember Seo In-Guk in love rain?

    I do. Hahaha 😂

I want to watch it because of him but I have heard the show as such is quite bad even though he is good in it..

    1
    4

I didn’t mind it. But I did watch it in my early K-drama days, I’m not sure what I would think if I watched it again now 🙂

      1
      0

Ah, I just looked love rain up on dramabeans to see what I could find, and with the benefit of hindsight this article (and comments) announcing Seo In-Guk’s casting is hilarious 😂

      2
      1

Wow so much hate! And nothing has changed even now… any idol casting news is met with so much prejudice! And it’s not like all of them are bad! And I don’t even think SIG is considered an idol!

Made me laugh a lot though… he has proven the nay-sayers wrong big time!😁

        2
        0

It’s not great, but it’s not bad either. To me, Love Rain is something that I could watch without feeling annoyed and I did enjoy watching it back then when it aired. Plus, the OSTs are all good and I still listen to them until now.

      2
      1

Sounds good enough! Plus, being a SIG fan, i really should give it a try! I will add it to my ‘to-watch’ list!

I really liked Love Rain! Kim young Kwang was also in it and he’s matured so much in his acting as well! But yes, Seo In Guk did well too. We still watch scenes from this adorable show.

I’d forgotten he was in it too. Was he a friend of Yoona’s?

      0
      1

He was her original chebol heir crush, although he was engaged to someone else at the time, and she didn’t know he was rich until later. You know, all the good drama tropes were embodied in him!

        2
        1

hahaha I think I do remember that a bit ? Maybe I need to rewatch 🙂

I’ve tried watching Love Rain recently and I cringed so much when I saw Seo In Guk in the first part!

Does anyone else find that some shows put them to sleep?

2
4

I remember this happening when I watched Arang and the magistrate (I really enjoyed it but I kept falling asleep) Now it is happening again with Bride of the water god, I watched the first episode over 3 sittings, now I’m trying to watch episode 3 and I’m 15 minutes in and I literally can’t keep my eyes open.
I have no idea why, does anyone else have this with particular shows?

    0
    1

Oh my gosh, @AussieGrl yesss! I am having this exact problem with this exact show. I enjoyed the first two eps but fell asleep multiple times trying to watch it and beanies are going gaga over it (or hating it completely) and I enjoyed it enough to want to watch but everytime I try and watch ep 3 does not matter how awake I am its naptime.

I understand, it’s the middle of the afternoon here, but I keep having to pause it and do something else to stay awake.

        0

Some surely do! And those include some really “good” ones like Goblin! I didn’t hate it but I always saw it in 2 shifts because I always ended up sleeping while watching it! There were many others but Goblin shines in recent memory.

I finally decided to try Angry Mom, I wasn’t sure if I’d like it, but I started it this morning and watched 11 episodes. Now it’s 12:40am so I need to go to bed 😴 Suffice to say I’m enjoying it 😊

Yay, we have a long weekend here. Now I might have time to finally try it all these new dramas. The best hit, lookout, circle, duel here I come 🙂 any recommendations on which one I should start with?

2
2

All great!! Circle is the most cracktastic at the moment.

    3
    0

All of them are great. But since Lookout, Circle, and Duel are all full of suspense, maybe you can insert The Best Hit in the middle to get you some laugh before watching more gritty crime show.
