I couldn't even watch the best drama of this year (Signal) yet but I was so eagerly waiting for this section... This is my second time voting for the best ones.

TvN has amazing dramas.

SIGNAL and THEK2 are my favorites of TvN2016 for me.

Signa had the Best villain.

TheK2 is the BEST action-drama-politic 2016.

TheK2 had the Best couple : "Anna and Jeha"

Anna and Jeha's kiss in spain was so real and hot. i fall in love with both.

I agree with you about tvn. I really enjoyed signal, oh hae young, the good wife, and drinking solo, but the K2 was a big disappointment for me. I was expecting a high quality and slick action series, but it didn't seem to mesh the different tones well, the writing was weak, and characters were unlikable.

Signal's Kim Bum-joo is the face of evil and corruption. He deserves all the hate and the best villian title.

I'm just going to say this one last time. "Signal" was based on "Memories of Murder." If you like Signal, you should watch "Memories of Murder."

@Sojuboy,

Thanks so much for the pointer to MEMORIES OF MURDER. I watched SIGNAL after its run, so wasn't around for the live recaps and commenting. I've started watching Korean films as well as dramas, but am a wuss and don't usually watch thrillers (especially ones based on heinous real-life crimes). Am tickled to see that one of my fave character actors, Kim Roe-Ha, plays a supporting role... so that makes the film even more tempting. ;-)

For the record, aside from all the praise on DB for SIGNAL, the music really sold me on watching it. One of my favorite OSTs ever.

0

Signal was very loosely based on Memories of Murder. There was so much more to that drama besides the one case about the serial murder.

0

Signal is the best thriller drama ever in Korea for me, signal is the best drama this year
The way how they send us message of the past to the future and the way they match real criminals case to the story are really amazing

Fact is this poll can be easily rigged. I tested it by using Proxy and VPN. I was able to to cast votes 3 times. It would have been better if they had used Google spreadsheet which asks for login[that too is easy to fool] OR Setup a system on their own site.

2nd It looks more of a popularity poll as a few specific shows are inappropriate no. of votes even when that poll itself doesn't fit well with the show.

3rd. There are some options in some polls which either shouldn't be there or should be but still aren't. Choosing 3 best options doesn't work out well either.

4th - No one has watched or tried all the shows so whatever expeirence the audience has with limited no. of shows they watched, they voted according to it. In the end this polls ends up providing vague results.

I have voted but noway this yearly poll can be taken seriously.

That said, I promise to vote only once to make sure that results aren't rigged on my part. :).

As far as i know, DB has guy(s?) as recapper. I'm not such if he's still part of the team though

I have fun doing these type polls, but - yep - you're right. Not to be taken too seriously and obviously some shows have been seen by more viewers. I never get why shows that haven't completed their run are included.

0

reply

Required fields are marked *

Yes, especially this year, because there were so many good shows...
... and I hate voting for a show that hasn't finished yet for anything "best", in case they blow the ending.
So Legend of the Blue Sea wasn't one of my 3 best, but there's a good chance it would have been if it had finished.

I do agree that shows that it is questionable that shows that have not finished airing are included. As a rule of thumb, I would only include shows that have aired at least more than half of their episodes.

yup lol no need to get mad at rigged polls. just for fun- and i reat it as the list that reminds me what i watch and didnt watch. How i felt then and now- on those dramas. for eg i was really head over heels with Another Miss Oh but now i looked back im not gonna rewatch again.
Db writers will write their own piece and how they feel about 2016 dramas.
Personally i did not vote for any dramas that are currently airing

LOL why so butthurt about one particular drama. Everyone's taste is different, ML may not be your cup of tea but it doesn't mean that it is a bad drama. Calling other people name won't get you and your opinion respected, so get over it.

Why so angry about the fans of one drama?

Grow up and accept that people can like things that you don't like or even have contradicting feelings about them. Moonlight has 'imaginary' villain too and people vote for that, it's just a poll for fun.

This is called democracy, baby!
Popularity may not equal to good and vice versa.
Different people has different cup of tea preference. What you consider is good may be bad to other people.
Unless you could turn a Trump over Hillary - may be you should suggest electoral votes instead. LOL

If you don't like a particular drama you don't have to curse the fans or the drama. It may not be your cup of tea it doesnt mean you have to bad mouth....

Instead of criticizing fans of other drama which is not up to your liking, may be you should take time to concentrate on your spelling. It's "rabid" not "rabbit". LOL

0

I am not voting since I only watched 4 of the dramas airing this year. But I think there are a lot of people who mostly watch the hyped dramas and then vote on those few they have watched. There are no rules for being eligible to vote and it's mostly just for fun, but I can see your point. Personally I just don't feel right voting when I haven't even seen 1/4 of these.

Lots of shows that started well but fell apart. Lots of shows that I dropped because they were terribly pretty much from the beginning. A couple of good ones, but none outstanding enough to merit "Favourite Drama" for me...

SIG´s award is to go to the army.

It's not that he can't act, he just isn't charismatic enough to lead a show. Unless he improves to that point, he'll be winnowed out in favour of fresh blood in the next few years. (the field for male actors is rather stricter than for women, that way)

@Monlit are you serious?!!! Him, getting a Daesang?!

0

I kinda liked him in CITT and really thought he had improved, but judging from what he said in interviews, the PD allowed him free reign and they adapted the role to his limitations. The problem is his lack of versatility as well tbh. He hasn't demonstrated any range yet as an actor imo.

0

@yuju - I think you have it right, he doesn't have much range.

I've noticed he tends to play all his roles the same way, and the most obvious way - there's no nuance or depth to his acting, especially compared to certain other actors his age.

Yeah Entourage seems to have burst a lot of his bubble. It was pretty risky for him to take on such an infuriating character. Even more experienced actors would have had trouble with such a character, so it really further exposed a lot of his weaknesses. His acting in Cheese was not exactly nuanced, but it was ok for a second lead (I mean, what used to be a second lead .... yeah). Would have been interesting to see him giving his shot at playing the actual webtoon character and not the saccharine version of it tho.

At least, Lee Jung-gi got a lot of screen times and chances to show his best performance, while Park Hae-jin ended up being an outcast in the show in which he was supposed to be the main lead. Not to mention how he wasn't included in the CiTT OST Drama pictorial book.

At least Age of Youth is leading in something, that best girlfriends category. But poor Beautiful Mind is completely left in the dust. For me Lee Young Oh was one of the most memorable main characters of the last few years. It will probably not get any mentions in the staff picks either.

I’ve put those two on my to-watch list. (Age of Youth I already had, Beautiful Mind now added). Might find time to see them only in 2017, so won’t be able to vote.
Funny when I think about it coz this year I started twelve 2016 dramas and dropped 9 of them start/ midway. In a year with such awesome dramas floating around, why did I pick the wrong ones and waste my time? ?

Age of Youth I think is getting more love on the girlfriend category, but I also think Dear My Friends deserve to be the best melo. OHY was more rom-com turned melo but really should just stay as rom-com.

Also with you on PU38 as Action/Thriller. Although hands down, Signal is the best on everything and anything this year!

PU38 and AoY are my 2 picks for best K-dramas for 2016.

Both had the combination of great writing and acting and a deft touch with the directing.

These 2 shows can compare favorably w/ the best shows on American cable.

There are a few dramas that are well-regarded that I still have to catch up on, but other dramas like "Bring It On Ghost", while not maybe not something critically acclaimed was a fun/enjoyable watch mainly for the banter btwn the 2 leads and OHYA was (aside from Seo Hyun-jin) overrated as the writing was formulaic and predictable w/ little in the way of interesting/fun dialogue (have yet to start it, but figure that I'm going to enjoy "Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim" more).

Eagerly awaiting "Bad Guys II" and even that reworked survival island due to writer Han Jung-hoon and any new projects from the writer of AoY, Park Yeon-sun.

That drama actually had MUCH better kiss scenes but in this poll the only option was that cringe worthy rain kiss. (A gentle reminder that the blame is completely on director, who took really awkward shots and made the kiss scene linger such an unnecessary amount of time).
And the poll couldn’t be about first kisses b/c if I remember correctly, the handcuff kiss scene in W wasn’t the 1st kiss between Kang Chul and Oh Yeon Joo so...

For me personally though, CITT is the drama I really really love flaws and all... They stick to their narrative till the end and the ending is so fit with the story... My biggest complain, I wish this drama is more focus about the premise and the narrative and stay away to love triangle, the tone should be darker. It would be awsome.

Cheese should win Biggest Disappointment, hands down.

No other drama started off as one (really good) thing and then became a whole other hackneyed, piano-playing, makjang gangster-filled thing by 3/4 of the way through.

I fell in love, really fell in love and then...*wipes tears*. I haven't moved on yet. I'm going to post an ode to CITT on one thread someday, no matter how much later that is just so I can finally have peace of mind. Cheese is really the best drama that ever got derailed. The train wreck still stuns me till this day. I still love it though, I can't not, its just got the best mood, and coolest characters until all that got side swept to make room for some awesome piano character development.

The whole experience really is like cheese, very holey, because now I just pick and choose what to rewatch...so many protracted piano-sized black holes to ignore

I couldn't vote CITT most disappointing because I didn't watch it so I don't really know how disappointing it was.

I was about to start a few weeks late, because of all the goods things I was reading about it (mostly on the DB staff "What We're Watching"), but then I waited just long enough to read about the mess at the end.

Maybe next year they can have a category for "Train Wreck DB Saved Me from Starting" :)

0

Required fields are marked *

Definitely Cheese for me too. I watched the whole drama after it finished airing, fully aware of the controversy and having had the ending practically spoiled to me, but I thought since I knew what to expect I would be able to handle it. The first half of the drama really seemed worth watching so I dived right in and tolerated the second half as expected. But that last episode made me completely lose it! It still made me so utterly angry despite myself and wanting to pull my hair out after seeing how everything was executed.

I know some people have said it wasn't that bad and I had enjoyed other drama endings that were deemed "worst ending ever!!1!11", but here all I could say was "Boy, the others really didn't exaggerate one bit this time". Maybe there's some sort of talent involved too in making something so good so bad.

0
1
reply

Required fields are marked *

And I think I need to add that it was the kind of ending that ruins the whole drama experience and stains it irrevocably, not to say the few episodes preceding it were very good. But the ending was the crowning confirmation that even if the makers of this drama had lost the plot, hackneyed the characterization and muddled any sort of message or emotional complexity they had going for in the first half, they weren't even aware enough or didn't care to fix some of it.

0

Required fields are marked *

To make it clear, watch CITT as a psychological drama mix with thriller instead of romance / slice of life drama. It's not and never was for me .... Treat it as a psychological thriller is so much more fun, and you will the ending is fitting. the worst episode is 11,13-14, I think, but ep 15-16 is so good and back on track to the narrative.

Why are some dramas missing from certain polls?

I wanted to pick Oh Hae-young Again in most disappointing and dysfunctional relationships category but it's not even an option, but you have something vanilla like Descended in the most disappointing category.

Anyway, Signal has been the best drama this year, and one of the best period.

What do you mean with "something vanilla like Descended in the most disappointing category"?

0
7
reply

Required fields are marked *

There's nothing offensive about Descended. It's a very popular drama, and I really doubt most people who watch it would feel disappointed. It received a strong reception too. Vanilla was my way of saying it's an easy watch with nothing that would really make anyone feel disappointed with it. It's a simple and breezy as they come.

Yet it's included in the most disappointing category, while Oh Hae-young Again, which has one of the most annoying and irritating leads I've seen in a drama, is absent. That drama has far more issues with it from a writing standpoint as well as some of the actions within that would likely cause a strong reaction than something like Descended.

I see your point. Very valid argument. It was why I eventually dropped OHYA despite the extension and rave reviews.

0

Required fields are marked *

I simply do not like OHYA's main lead characters. I don't understand why this couple, together or separate were popular at all.

I started it again recently because I like most of the other characters, especially Eric's sister..and because I keep hearing stuff about it. But my impression of the leads gets worse & worse. Lol, I never sneered at a reunion/make up scene like I did at these two outside the hospital.

I wonder when OHY will apologize to the pretty OHY?
And Eric's character is just..the worst. To be honest other than just "disappointing", I'm surprised a special poll for "Laughably Dislikable" wasn't created specially for this drama.

I enjoyed most part of Another Oh Hae Young. I loved the lead actress, she was phenomenal. Her character was a bit annoying at times but I guess that’s the way it was written.
The male lead on the other hand.... Rom-com king. Ha ha... Oh wait, you weren’t kidding????

0

@MyGirl2016,

Ha ha your post made me laugh & I wish I was kidding too because I like everything else about the drama: Writer can write, and the director is great too. Some very interesting side characters. Good acting. Parental units were Reply Series level of awesome/realistic.

The OHY character though, I have no words. No wait I do. If she was a second lead female with these exact traits I'm pretty sure majority would be under no illusions about just how annoying & without self worth or self respect this female is. And how abusive towards the pretty OHY - "Let me beat you up because I & everyone in the world think you're better than me" !!

But here she's the female lead, she & the male lead are meant to be together, its all for love~~.

As for Eric (I keep trying but can't remember his character name), while he was terrible already for being a coward and creeping behind the scenes to hurt the supposed fiance of his fiancee (which I don't know why, he's not the one who dumped you! I'm amazed people panned CITT Jung's character and yet lots liked this other Special Brand of Creep. Must be the eyes indeed, Mi Kyung-oma), its what he did after discovering he hurt the wrong OHY that makes him The Worst Male Lead in my book **cue countless face palms**. What a degree of ballsy ... just enough to destroy someone else's life but not enough to own up to your feelings, omona! I gotta assume you're joking about that rom-com king thing too. What? Where? How?

Eric = the maddening hero of the trashy "romance" books I read when I was 12, several years down the line I'm glad my tastes & bullsh*t meter have changed.

I have to admit I've not finished the drama yet, I've not been on any of its threads & don't even know if it's recapped on DB, my conclusions about people's reactions to the drama is from beanies comments around the website. Although OHYA is like a makjang I'm rubbernecking I don't know if/when I will finish it because there are some awesome dramas airing at the moment & likely in the foreseeable future. I jumped 4 episodes worth of the drama already and I'm stuck at the part where they made up after everything was exposed.

0

Now that you say it that way @Ah In,
Just OHY was quite mean to Pretty OHY, wasn’t she? Loads of self esteem, lack of self-love issues there. And pretty OHY’s only ‘fault’ was that she was prettier and got more attention @ school/work. (And of course the same name thing)
I don’t remember much of the drama now but did Just Oh Hae Young achieve any meaningful character growth by the end? Like overcome her insecurities in some way?

And I can tell you, in real life I have seen many instances of ‘Just Oh Hae Youngs’ (who are a bundle of insecurities) gossiping about and tearing down, and being downright mean and rude to who THEY THINK are ‘Pretty’ Oh Hae Youngs. (And ‘pretty’ could be physical looks pretty, or more-successful-than-me pretty, more-popular-than-me pretty etc etc).
And it’s sad, really. Such characters are fine to be represented in dramas as part of a well-told story, but I don’t think anybody would want to cross paths with one in real life! ?

0

Finally....everyone was singing praises about OHYA. I love Eric but the leads are really annoying. Especially OHY. She just rubs me the wrong way.

@Chiharu, thanks for replying! I wonder... do you see the choices below the questions? Or just the questions themselves?

For example, the first question "What was your favorite drama of 2016?" should have choices under it like this:

[ ] DESCENDED FROM THE SUN: You are my everything
[ ] OH HAE-YOUNG AGAIN: I had a vision you were the one for me
[ ] DEAR MY FRIENDS: Vote for me or I’ll hold a grudge until we’re eighty

If you're just seeing the questions, it's possible you have a plugin or something preventing the choices from loading. If this is the case, have you tried clicking on the question? It should be a link that leads to the survey site.

Top 3 for me: signal, jealousy incarnate and marriage contract. Honarable mention: dear my friends.

Agreed with your choices (minus Dear My Friends, haven't watched that one). Signal is hands down the best drama of the year. I'm also a little sad MC isn't getting as much love, I had hoped it'd at least be in the top 3 for best kiss along with W.

But this 'Ugly palm tree shirt kiss' is the best kiss that I ever watched in drama land. It was combination of desire, angriness and hungry for both of them. Not to mention the hmmmmmmmm...tongue involved*shyshyshy. Seriously Eric should become a mentor for kissing scenes not only the hottie-slow- food-maker and tutoring Yoon Kyun Sang in Three Meals lol

Agree. Eric isn't the best actor (he delivers every characters he played very well tho) but everytime he started to give even the small touches to any girls, it just looks passionate and intimate. I don't know from where he got this talent lol. If his actings as good as Kang Dong Won, I don't know how this guy will be. But one thing for sure, he has too strong screen presence. Wanna see him being paired with senior movie actors. I always have this thought. He has the kinda bad guy aura that suits villain roles lol.

Eric definitely can act. Another Miss Oh didn't give him chance to show his acting chops with the very limited words and emotionless character. He was awesome in dark roles. I could say one of the best male lead for an ass*ole role all the time in Que Sera Sera. I think he needs to get away from rom-com and start to take more serious roles in the future.

Don't see Reply 1988 in the lists. Was it counted last year?

I always find including ongoing dramas in Awards, including Beanie Awards a bit troublesome and upsetting. A viewer's opinion about a drama can sometimes completely change even with the last episode (** God's Gift *cough*) so including an ongoing drama on Award list may NOT reflect the viewers' final opinion about a particular show overall. I REALLY don't get the point.

I know SFD was included last year, but it was only half way through its run at that point, and, as you say, a lot can change in the final episodes. It was hands-down the best show of the year for me and it makes me sad not to be able to acknowledge that in the voting, especially since it had such a powerful and effective ending.

Favorite dramas of the year:
W, Mirror of The Witch, Miss Temper & Nam Jung Ki, Jealousy Incarnate, Signal, The K2.
Looks like LOTBS and Goblin too.
Action: The K2
Fantasy: W & Signal
Sageuk: MOTW (Idk, I just love this show)
Melodrama: Oh Hae Young Again (since I didn't watch many melo this year)
Romcom: Jealousy Incarnate obviously
Most disappointing drama: None other than Uncontrollably Fond
Quintessential Candy: where's No Eul though?

Most fun to hate villains: Choi Yoo Jin, Hong Joo, Yi In Jwa. Oh.. and No Face too..

Breakout performance: I think it's fair to say Lee Sung Kyung probably has the best breakout performances this year, playing crazy b*tch Baek In Ha (CITT), jealous-doctor-I-forget-her-name (Doctors) and Kim Bok Ju (WF). I admit I first thought LSK is just average model-turned-actress but this year she proves her acting skills and even taking challenging roles and it's really praiseworthy.

Good arguments indeed.

I would have voted for Min Jin Woong (http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Min_Jin_Woong) the "does impressions" public administration teacher on Drinking Solo; previously, Yong Pal's special personal bodyguard. He went from a simple action role to a really involved comedy job and then flipped the table with a tragic and poignant backstory. I'm so smitten.

I had so much trouble deciding on which to vote for almost all the categories this year! And this question was definitely the hardest: "Which noble idiot was the most idiotic?" Where's the choice "All of the above"??????

And to think that we also need to choose for the most noble of noble idiot. That very fine line between noble and idiotic is almost non-existent.

Required fields are marked *

I think Jung Do breaking up with his gf in PU38 was indeed more noble than idiotic. It's not really just a matter of "don't want you to wait for me/want better for you than dating a convicted conman".

The way I see it, if he hadn't told her it was all a scam, she would have had to have been questioned by the police as a real girlfriend might know he was conning and might even be in on it. So he spared her a possibly scary and very troubling experience where she might have been suspected of criminal acts.

Yeah I'd choose "All of the above" too!!
It's funny that we have separate most noble of noble idiocy and most idiotic of noble idiocy.
I think the problem with noble idiocy is you TRY to be NOBLE, but instead you DO something IDIOTIC, no?

I define Noble Idiocy as the causing of (mean) hurt to prevent hurt without the other party's concent or worse, awareness.

Its the I love you but because of certain circumstances, we can't be together. Fine but THEN, instead of sitting you down and explaining why we can't be like a mature adult or at least, not a wuss, I'll tell you I hate you and that you were sent by demons into my life. pay no mind to my difficult breathing and restrained voice, its because I'm holding in a fart.

Literally every single vote I cast is in the minority. How did that happen?

All polls seem to currently have either W, MDBC, Signal, Moon Lovers or DotS in the lead. Watched all of those but ML and just can't figure out why they're the ones leading in all categories so far. Don't know if that makes me feel like making sure to vote every day to at least give my faves a chance or quit voting altogether cause they don't stand a chance anyway lol.

I might just be the only one who didn't vote for Signal in any of the polls. Maybe I just subconsciously like being contrary? :P

sadly, I stopped watching SIGNAL at episode 7-8. It might be due to the theme that doesn't interest me, like they always mugging about justice explicitly that I getting bored at it... It's well made drama... but it's just didn't connect with me in emotional level
Pied Piper is way better

Required fields are marked *

I just finished Pied Piper and loved it, despite finding it somewhat flawed at points. The emotion and dialogue really resonated.

Signal didn't make me connect emotionally either. Something about the way the present-day leads overacted at times and the cinmeatography/editing used for the past. And as a big sci-fi fan I don't feel the story is as new as most drama-viewers seem to. The butterfly effect has been used over and over again in sci-fi, so it no longer feels fresh to me, even if the situation etc surrounding it is different. I liked the drama, but I don't even think it's in my top 5 for this year.

I like my thriller drama darker and if can, be more ambigious. So far until episode 7-8, there is a definite side between good and bad, they are less layer? I don't know. I might continue watching if think get more interesting

0

Required fields are marked *

have the same problem, I always get bashed for saying signal is over the top and their justice is unbelievable.
It's good but the theory is not groundbreaking,
I find W has better concept for supernatural even it doesn't execute as good as signal.

Required fields are marked *

@missjb Ambigious is always better imo, at least when it comes to dramas. Makes everything feel so real and it's more riveting. If you don't like the dualistic approach in Signal, I don't think much is gonna change if you keep watching. (But I 'm not 100% sure, which is odd considering it's only been a couple of months since I watched it lol.)

@savi Agreed. Though W's concept isn't exactly new either, it's at least a little less used and a little more original than Signal. I was really looking forward to W, but most of all I think it disappointed because it didn't make me connect with the characters. Just like Signal, DotS and MDBC didn't. I guess maybe that's what seals the deal for me; if I don't connect to the people and emotions, everything in the drama will feel pointless.

Required fields are marked *

Execution is what matters most though. Signal executes its ideas excellently. W is a really mediocre drama because it doesn't. It's a huge disappointment coming from the writer of Queen In-Hyeon's Man and Nine, both of which are much better than W. And it has nothing to do with the leading actor and actress as they're both talented. It's the writing which lets it down. It's a mess.

Personally I preferred the editing and cinematography in W over Signal. Plus, it had really good special effects. The story itself was much, much better executed in Signal though.

0

sorry the lead in W is really mediocre at best.... But Han Hyo Jo used to be serviceable in her movie.. but here, God, she is so bad it's not even funny.... Might be due to the script is unbelievable bad it's affect the performances lol

0

signal is a better drama than W but not as mindblowing as everyone hype its about, it actually a rehashed techniques of what makes korean movie thriller great.
Ofc it still good just not the best.
I said the concept that W introduced is way more intriguing than having a magic walkie talkie

0

W started of well nd had a very good concept bt the ending was so confused, jumbled nd had to drop in the middle. But Signal was thrilling till the end. The twists nd turns in Signal was perfect bt in W it really irritated me.

0

I thought Signal was well directed and acted (mostly - I didn't love Lee Joon), but the writing drove me slightly nuts. I found Pied Piper a much more interesting watch although I thought the ending was messy and overblown. Yoo Joon Sang gave the performance of the year in my opinion.

Pied Piper had much more complex characters and dilemma-setups. The ending was indeed too much though, I found myself pretty distracted while watching the last two eps, whereas I'd been all but glued to the screen throughout the rest of show.

YJS was totally believable, I love he was able to juggle all the extreme emotions and convictions that were seemingly contradictory.

This is the first time I voted on this site ^^I just started watching kdramas this year. I voted for every category except family dramas cause I just saw 2 of those. For some of the categories though, the answer are not all fitting I think, like choosing the rain kiss from doctors - why not one of the others of this show - i would argue that the rain kiss was the worst of all the other kisses in doctors. And sometimes there are answers that are more like joke answers mixed in with other more serious answers which is fun but also made me a bit confused about what I should vote for. lol

And Uncontrollably Fond's middle-of-the-street I-thought-you-got-hurt kiss - it made my heart fluttered. I really liked The Good Wife too, just that it made me feel weary sometimes. I have the same sentiments. I personally don't see it fit to vote for those that have not finished because I can't fully judge the merit or demerit of the drama. There are dramas here that are barely in the middle like you said. So much can happen and toward the end and we have no idea how the drama will turn out. For all we know some of those that are ongoing could be on some categories they are not currently in.

Don't judge but i will be forever in denial that Six Flying Dragons won't be nominated anywhere this year albeit the fact that literally half of it aired in 2016. But that's probably my fault for finishing that drama recently on August and the awesomeness still lingers hard :p

Anyway, not watching much in the second half of 2016 so i ended up voting only for dramas i finished watching which aired in the first half. Voting this makes me remember how annoyed i was watching the last ep of The Good Wife, what the ef is that ending?! But still lots better than how CITT treated its viewer.

Anyway, Age of Youth, Signal, Police Squad 38, The Good Wife, CITT (regardless) really makes me happy this year.

And DBteams, you guys with all witty captions on each nominees and all your recaps, def deserves all the award :D

Well it's not that it is a bad ending per se. But for me it kinda feels like not finished? Some things unexplained, and it kinda smears my overflowing love for this show because i want my happy ending, in the happily-ever-after-est way i can get. But aside from few tiny details, it was really, good good show until the end. May i know why you didn't finish The Good Wife?
