When I saw pictures of Park Bo-gum doing a dance routine in his royal robes on the set of Moonlight Drawn By Clouds, I thought it was going to be random behind-the-scenes promotional material for funsies, not the first teaser of the drama! A dance routine to “Bomba” is definitely the strangest teaser for a sageuk I’ve ever seen, no matter how fusion the show. But crazy strangeness aside (though really, how can you put that aside?), it’s also hilarious, and just plain cute.

I do remember tvN doing a bunch of these dancing teasers for a stretch, but Moonlight has taken it into musical territory with the spontaneous dance busted out by the prince and his eunuchs in the palace courtyard. For seemingly no reason, Park Bo-gum and his head eunuch, played by funny character actor Lee Jun-hyuk (Mrs. Cop 2, Six Flying Dragons), break out into awesomely unabashed cheesetastic dancing.

I seriously can’t believe Park Bo-gum isn’t embarrassed, because most actors would be, but he’s totally working it. My favorite part is the embarrassed court ladies and eunuchs in the background, acting like this is most unusual and wishing for it to end before they’re punished for letting the prince be inappropriate. It’s an added comical effect that when Lee Jun-hyuk puts on sunglasses, he kind of looks like Psy.

KBS’s new youth romance drama tells the love story between a crown prince (Park Bo-gum) and the crossdressing young lady (Kim Yoo-jung) who enters the palace as a eunuch. Chae Soo-bin (Sassy Go Go) plays Park Bo-gum’s wife, Jinyoung (Warm and Cozy) is a beautiful scholar, and Kwak Dong-yeon (Modern Farmer) is the prince’s best friend since childhood. The dance routine mostly serves to make me like Park Bo-gum more, but it’s the teensy glimpse that we get at the end of the teaser that excites me for the show to come, so hopefully we’ll get more of that soon.

Moonlight Drawn By Clouds premieres August 15 on KBS.

Good to know, because I can't watch the video now, but cannot wait to watch it later! Ugh, Bogummy is the epitome of adorable puppy! He's always got such a chipper, happy-go-lucky personality, it seems. Reading about and seeing stills of the teaser now makes me think that that's how his character's gonna be like.

Agree! I'd say it's more about sheer confidence than being cheesetastic. We had whole parties of people dancing like that back in the old wild-child days. All alphas. Party catalysts.

It's so much more fun than the typical look-at-me-I'm-so-sexy poser dancing. ?

With this drama airing at the same time with big production Moon Lovers-Scarlet Heart, it would be a very tough fight. I remember how IRIS knocked down You're Beautiful in 2009 although YAB does have its own strong followers.

Isn't he just the cutest bunny ever? The lip-bite, the winks.
Most actors would be embarrassed to do this or even be stiff in their routines but Park Bogum is giving it his all and having fun all the way.

The whole teaser is so weird but funny that it works in such a weirdest way lol. And i love Park Bo Gum even more for seeming llike he truly enjoy doing it.

I actually plan to skip this one bcs i have no desire to watch saeguk but Bo Gum reaaaaaally makes me hard to resist the temptation ? i'll jump this ship right away if he dances on drama tho, however weird that sounds XD

HAHAHA. When it first started I felt the second-hand embarrassment creep up into me, but then I quickly realized that HE didn't seem at all embarrassed, so why should I be embarrassed for him?

Leave it to Park Bogum and in the first 60 seconds I'm all happy, smiling at his adorableness and the next second my jaw drops because of his wink, and.... in the last few seconds he's about to make you cry. (Because he looks like he was about to cry as well)
This is all happens under 2 minutes, just because of his eyes! Gdi.. this reminds me of Min, and how i was crying everytime he's crying. Aigoo... Bogum ah~ what did you do to this Nuna heart?

How is Park Bo Gum so good? I am always amazed by how he is able to convey various kinds of emotion within split seconds.

Dear God, yes. His acting maturity is unmatched by any actor his age. That puppy-dog-Taekkie-Minnie-hurt look... Plus that thunderous scowl when the chief eunuch toppled him over. Plus that irrepressible grin and that close-eyed joy while he was dancing... Gad, I love this kid.

BAHAHAHA. My favorite part is when Lee Jun-hyuk knocks Bogummie over and gets dragged away. The way Bo-gum just smoothly picks himself back up, I just can't!

Funnily enough, I actually wasn't all that excited for this, despite my love for Bo-gum. Now I feel like they're trying to seduce me with this hilarious teaser and it's working. Only problem is that I want stuff like this to happen in the actual drama now...is that too much to ask?
