Sh-she's thirty-something?! Pffft. The way BoNui thinks made me think she was in her mid-twenties all this time, so I was like... Hwang JungEum...?

Not to say that older actor/actresses can't portray younger roles but Hwang JungEum has lost the air of a twenty-something to me and is a solid, confident thirty-something.

Oooh so she will be up against Ji Sung's new drama?
If only Siwon wasn't in the army. He could have done great in this role.

I dislike her. Of all of my dramaland experience, she is the only actor i dislike. She is so screechy. I feel second hand embarrassment when i watch her. I loved KMHM but had to mute so many of her parts. Same with She was pretty.

The strange thing is that when she dials it down and does an emotional scene, it is perfect. But 90% of the the time she is just OTT. So after these 2 shows, i've decided to pass anything she does.

I'd prefer Im Seul-ong :) I watched him in Ho-gu's love and I can see him good as the penny-pinching man lead :D

This drama sounds hilarious. I love HJE and Joo Won when they are NOT doing comedy, she overreacts and he doesn't really deliver.

Can we please have Cha Tae Hyun instead?

The only funny girl I can think of right now is Kim Seul Gi but she's so tiny she would look like CTH's kid.

It seems HJE has already accepted. I guess Han Suk Jin will too.

The drama to premiere after GMB, that's pretty soon so the cast will get confirmed very soon.

I can think of a lot of other actresses I'd like to see in this role other than HJE.

Not familiar with the webtoon, but I'm afraid the script will be homogenized and sanitized to consist of:

As far as male leads, please, not Joo-won, just don't.

Omg I have major issues with HJE and her over acting/loudness. I missed out on SWP and HMHM despite liking the male leads because I couldn't take her. Please don't let it be Kim Soo-hyun or Seo In-guk. I love them too much that I'd be forced to watch it. Joo Won is good too but I feel I'd be able to afford missing him in a drama.

hmmmm.... HJE can deliver but in an overboard manner! although am a fan of her but i think i'll prefer kim seul gi in this one! she can also do a great job while not over doing it.. for the hero's part i'll go with joo won though not sure about him yet!

I'll also announce my love for Hwang Jung Eum here and I hope she takes it. I first saw her in Can You Hear My Heart, which to be honest I have yet to finish (I'm on episode 15?? haven't watched more in almost a year). I loved She Was Pretty despite all of its flaws, and it made me love HJE.

Does she tend to overdo it? Yes. But I actually like the way she overdoes it, hehe. I find her hilarious and I like that she isn't afraid to go all out or "ruin her image".

like HJE, she overacts for comedy but she's golden on dramatic parts. she was really good in Giant & Golden Time:)

oh gawd...there will be lots of shrieking and screaming and hysterical laughing. Not from me but from HJE. Doesn't she know this thing about overexposure as a celebrity? Too much is not a good thing.

- I'm still hoping she can rediscover her comedic chops from High Kick 2. She was hilarious there and while, yes, she had moments of over-the-topness, for the most part she was fantastic.

And this would be the PERFECT chance to reunite her with Daniel Choi (I will never give up on this pairing!). Seriously, they play off each other so well when she's acting the crazy wack-job and he's acting the uptight, serious guy forced to put up with her. Please put them together again!

Or at least cast Daniel Choi in a drama already. I miss him.

There are some actors/actresses that do I project a year, if even that, and there are others that do back to back to back projects.

I would think that just getting married and having a honeymoon is a good excuse to take a break from acting for a while.

In any case she's welcome. If the writing is good, she would probably be looking at another hit at her hands. I wish her all the luck in the world and a sincere congratulations on her marriage. Peace.

I don't know if it's just me but I don't find Seul Gi to be a very convincing actress. Splish Splash Love was very cringeworthy at the end. In my humble opinion, HJE is a better actress but of course how much a person likes an actor is subjective and just because I don't like someone's acting doesn't make them a bad actor...just an unconvincing one.

What really pisses me off are comments like "she needs to take a break" etc. The privilege in those comments leave me speechless. Just because you don't want to see her she has to stop being in the spotlight even though that's her job? Wow.

I'd cast Lee Yoon Ji and Oh Min Seok if star power wasn't an issue.

I like her and apparently most of Korea does as well because she is definitely one of the "it" actresses right now. I don't have strong feelings about the actor. Most these guys can pull off mean Korean dude with one hand tied behind their backs.

The hope I have about this drama is that "heart" that javabeans writes about gets adapted well in the drama because that elevates a silly premise into a lovely story.

No please.... I just can't.

I like HJE. Really, I do. But I dont think I can stand her screaming theatrics anymore. Kill Me, Heal Me, I understand because of the drama's tone. But She Was Pretty was already bordering on ridiculous.

ALSO, I WANT ME SOME KIM SEUL-GI.
