Beanie level: Chaebol’s poor doppelganger

Every time this show keeps challenging my perspective of looking at these people. Anyway, this was the Rin I wanted to see all these time. Above all, this show is about the two friends, and I kind of get now why Won got so mad for Rin-San leaving him. All he wanted was that his friends stay with him in his hard times. Now I feel it was selfish of Rin-San to think about fleeing, leaving Won alone in the palace.

But anyway glad that I was wrong, and that Rin still cares about Won. Loved his monologue so much! HJH has the most soothing voice. ^^

Hate it when friends ditch friends because of the special someone. I get it that Rin loves San, and his concern is understandable but how could he doubt Won. Seeing Won reminiscing the old days and when he says, when we were all together…that just broke my heart. I hope Rin doesn\’t forget about their life long friendship. 🙁 #thekingloves
Also, note to self, never have a crush on your friend\’s bf lmao

I don\’t like the new eun jae at all. I was going to start watching with keeping an open mind, but sadly she\’s copying park hye soo to the core, and it isn\’t working. :/ They should have just got rid of the character.

          Yeah! It’s this movie called ‘one day’, kim nam gil and chun wo hee. Melancholic one though. 😅 I am watching anything that has KNG these days, so that’s the reason for watching. Or else I’m not a fan for sad movies.

Watching Ep 11 of TKL, and I feel like I wouldn’t mind having these two as my husband :D. Seriously, this is the first time when watching the female lead with both of the boys doesn’t hurt,
I feel like cheating is okay when it’s Rin and Won.
Btw, this drama does such a good job of showing the external battle( of power, cause, injustice) and the internal battle of the heart. Like Won doesn’t waste a second to save either San, Rin or Dan, he’s the perfect son/friend/ and a man who tends to take the honest path. But when it’s about the person he loves, that’s where his heart starts defeating him, his sense of justice/ right and wrong. I know that the drama writer is taking a different route than the book probably, but I am so excited to see which way Won will take ultimately. I kind of cherish all his dialogues so far. The directing/ cinematography deserves an extra credit/ praise as well. #Thekingloves

Lol sorry for what’s coming, but to me deok sun is always for taek and vice versa, so I would like to say, maybe ‘he got the girl after all,’ shouldn’t work in this case. Since it’s rjy who’s dating hyeri, and not jung hwan. The character of Taek, deoksun were the writer’s imagination, and by saying things like these somehow affects the appreciation for the show. IMO deok sun was bound to be with taek, so comments like ‘the second lead for the win’ shouldn’t apply here, I would like to keep reel apart from real life, just so I can rewatch this drama sometime again. I do love the show and how the romance part worked out.^^ Just my opinion ofcourse. 🙂

    Agree with you! Taekkie and Duk Seon forever ❤️ Theirs will always be one of my favorite love stories of all time. But, I am also happy that Hyeri is dating Jun Yeol in real life. Well I’m mostly always happy when kpop celebs admit to dating. 😂

      I also loved their short venture on romance, the slow build of their romance totally won me over hehe. And yes, their private life is privy to them, I am only commenting on behalf of the drama, lol sorry for spoiling the spirit hehe. ^^

    Agree with what you are saying. I understood the drama resolution and made my peace with it, but I have always been Team Hwan fan. If I was in the drama though I would have wacked him on the head and told him to get his s**t straight and spill his feelings ASAP. But he kept waiting which got frustrating to watch and I don’t blame Dok Seon for falling for Taek in the end who was always up front about his feelings and not afraid to show them. Watt was also frustrating was the writer kept trying to put both ships on equal footing until the last minute, the end result being a lot of bitterness on one side.

    In light of all the angst and frustration the Hwan/Dok Seon shippers had to face in the show though, this news of the actors dating in real life kind of feels like a reality fanfiction with our couple getting together in an alternate dimension lol. I guess in this way, we can feel a sense of closure and can finally move on from all the bitterness.

      Yeah, it really is kind of scary how fans literally make it to the point of extreme for their club. I mean love your OTP, but can they not throw muds at other people’s excitement? 😀 Anyway this is reply we’re talking about right? So this is like history repeating again, and we would again see nasty fan wars next time, even if one party would like to stay calm and sane, one or other would come up and be keyboard warriors again.
      Lol anyway, I know what you mean about the writer. I wish next time she just makes it clear, cause it really takes away the fun factor of the show, since when you’re live watching the only thing in mind would be,who’s the ‘husband’ 😀 . It is not a good feeling at all, and I think I didn’t pay any attention to other people in the story, until I knew what’s happening to deoksun-taek, and this happened on each episode lol. I hope she makes a better drama this time, much better if there is no husband war anymore. -_-

        Yup! I think the first Reply 1997 had it right with just the right amount of teasing because I think we all knew it was game over once she realized Seo In Guk had been right there all along! 😂 The other two that followed just crossed the line between teasing out the ending and outright with holding information or messing with the audience so we wouldn’t figure it out till the end. Man anyone would go crazy after 20 19 minute episodes with no satisfactory plot resolution. Hopefully, for her next project she can focus more on the families and friendships and less on the who is the husband hunting

The king in love feels! My heart is divided into 3 pieces, I really want all three of them happy at this point. :\'( Have to applaud Im Siwan for selecting this drama, first time in kdrama where nothing is conventional, and heartaches don\’t seem intimidating anymore. Siwan deserves an award for the scene when he talks to San at the end..

      He really did! My heart broke for him, :'( I have not cried yet, but at this rate, seems like we have to do a lot more crying in the upcoming episodes. :/ I might go back and rewatch from the start, just to appreciate his micro-expressions.

        Sounds like a great idea! This was the first time I actually thought he was sincerely in love with San. Every other time, I just thought that he was just being entertained by her, not that he really loved her.

          Yeah, he’s not at all the type that he looks like. Outwardly funny and playing pranks, but he mostly hides his emotions since he’s used to getting hurt from everyone maybe? [ cue the king -_- ] I loved when he became aware of rin-san connection, he really delivers in these types of scenes. ^^ It must be hard for him when the truth becomes clear later on, that san always loved rin and not him. Although we don’t know what the writer’s going to do. Let’s see! ^^

Just watched the first two episode of \’rescue me\’ and I am thoroughly depressed.
Of course the show is dark, and the subject matter itself is too disturbing to
keep looking at the screen. if this is a 16 episode drama, I\’m not too sure I will
have the gut to continue until the end.
Had to add, I loved that friend of taecyeon, dong chul.Hope he doesn\’t get taken away
after trying to save the brother. Too much injustice happening and it\’s hard to bear. :/

          Hahaha, you do have a valid point there. Honestly speaking I realized I am too much into that loser dong chul who just sacrificed his school life and going to jail I believe? And I assume he doesn’t get the girl either :D. But anyway I don’t have much to watch these days, so I’ll be a brave girl and watch Oppa die. ^^ [pun intended :D]

            And it doesn’t help either that taec is back to his cringeworthy acting :/. I kind of liked him on the ghost drama, but here he kind of doesn’t suit the role yet. Let’s see I have to keep watching [ if I can], to see how he functions.

            LOL. The jail question will be answered if you watch episode four. 😉 It is a very dark show, but it is the only one (out of the three dramas I am currently watching) that holds my interest the most. Regarding Taec-yeon: I do agree that he is the weakest link. I have nothing against him personally, but I really wonder if he was cast purely from a marketing standpoint.
