I know what you mean; I always have butterflies in my stomach before an interview/speaking in public. Maybe that's just normal? Just be you, be prepared and maybe even try carrying out mock interview sessions with friends and family? I wish you the best of luck! If anything, you'll gain more interviewing experience from this, which should strengthen your skills. Rock it!

Try not to listen to some music, something that pumps you up or energizes you right before the interview. Put away all your notes and just focus on the song and music. At that point, you've done all that you can, so get into a relaxed mode and I think it may help!

Not everyone will get a job after one or two interviews, so good luck for you. Don't give up, don't stress yourself. I experienced same thing as well, so I know how your feeling. Just an advice, in case if you haven't, do part time jobs while waiting to get job. Something simple like cashier etc, which doesnt require a hard interview. Sometime employer wants to see what did you do while waiting for the job and this is quite helping.

As a person who interviews almost 2-3 people every week for jobs, I hope this advice to you can be of some help. If you think you are a good fit for the role and if it is only the interview that makes you nervous, actually stating that right at the beginning of the interview to the people who are interviewing will actually remove some nervousness.

Typically, interviewers want you to be successful because they really want to recruit for a job. Trust me on that. They never ask tricky questions to trap you or make you fail. If you believe that, then it becomes easier.

.. Totally offtopic. But I really want to say this because too many people get too nervous in interviews.

I suffer from (severe) anxiety from job interviews too!
So much so that I would practice before but tend to forget what to say during the interview. On the day of my interview, my body would be in full panic mode (on flight mode), I would puke and can hardly eat .. let alone think. I haven't found a job in over 2 years - I can barely even send in my resume without being anxious/sweaty. I feel the cause of it is me overthinking things and my inferiority complex. I have a hard time sharing info. about myself and having someone interviewing me is too intimate for me to handle because it's all about me, my capabilities and I'm terrified about not being able to answer their questions (since I do go blank)

But right now, I'm trying to practice and make myself get use to it all because I have to get over this fear to make $$! My advice is even if your interview didn't go so well, just think of it as experience and that you won't see them again! Also to calm your nerves, pat essential oil on your wrist and try to smell it (w/out looking weird) when you need to calm your body a bit and always remember to pace your breathing

I am not sure if this can be of any help, but I used this method every time I got an interview.

I am nervous in every interview, I can assure you that. However, I'll recite this to myself every time I wait for an interview that if this job is mine, it's going to me mine. So I should worry about it. If it is not destined for me, that's fine. I'll be there being me. If that's what the company, place is looking for, then that's good. If I'm not the one they're looking for, that's fine. :)

Normally when I am there waiting for being interviewed, am being interviewed, and after having been interviewed I usually have some feeling that I'm accepted or not. Perhaps it's gut feeling?

I will not tell you not to be worried 'cause I'm worried everytime too. But just be happy, show them that you're proud of yourself. Most of the time if you're honest with yourself your attitude will show. If that's what they're looking for, you'll get accepted.

For what its worth, the person who is interviewing you might be feeling anxious too. I'm speaking from experience as being part of an HR team, part of my role is conductung interviews. Personally, I get nervous meeting candidates too. You have been given really great points of advice here so don't be discouraged to keep trying. Treat it as practice until you overcome it. Yes its very much a two way conversation--as much as you are being interviewed, you should also be asking questions to make sure its the right job or company for you. Good luck!

Same here ! My problem is that i stutter but i prefer to not make it known before-hand in case i don't stutter and in case i stutter i come out as an anxious person with lack of confidence. The real deal is finding a job guys :/ it's just so hard ....just had an interview today but i feel like they won't hire me.

Agree with you. It feels comfortable to see actress with normal and natural beauty in kdramaland, instead of so doll-like beauty. I dont blame the faces, I blame the society who measure the beauty standard based on that.
