Slick shades and fab abs in new K2 teasers

Less than two weeks remain until Ji Chang-wook’s (Healer) bodyguard romance drama The K2 starts airing. I can’t believe it’s almost here, but at the same time, I can’t wait any longer! Good thing for us, tvN is great about keeping us on tenterhooks, and so they gave us a little something to tide us over until then. The ultimate fan service: smexy wet abs in HD motion picture form.
The K2 is an action-thriller-romance drama about a former special forces agent with a tragic past who has become the top bodyguard in demand among elite circles. He is hired by a presidential candidate’s wife, played by Song Yoon-ah (Assembly). However, he ends up falling in love with her husband’s illegitimate daughter, played by SNSD’s Yoon-ah (Prime Minister and I), who has been locked away and isolated from the world.
In the newly released teasers for The K2, Ji Chang-wook shows off his lethal killer vibes and his washboard abs. In one, Yoon-ah lies in bed with a phone clutched to her ear, saying, “Don’t die. This is an order.” In another, Song Yoon-ah regally answers a call, saying, “Don’t do anything without my command.” It’s unclear where Ji Chang-wook’s allegiance lies.
Especially since in the third teaser, he holds a gun to Song Yoon-ah’s head when her stepdaughter suddenly appears and screams for him to pull the trigger. In a voiceover, Ji Chang-wook says, “So there was another person who wanted you dead.” Everything seems morbid from the get-go, in a good way. Will anyone be alive at the end of The K2? As a strong proponent of happy endings, I hope so, but I’ll be satisfied as long as The K2 lives up to its promises of being an action jam-packed ride.
New tvN Friday-Saturday drama The K2 will begin on September 23.

This teaser ambushed me at the end of yesterday's Cinderella and K4 episode - my jaw dropped, higher brain functions stopped, and the only thing to jar me out of my stupor was a desperate need to keep replaying that scene.
Well done, tvN. There must be an employee whose sole duty at the promo team is to figure out how to properly display JCW's muscles.

I mean I was watching Cinderella lazily rolling my eyes getting ready to sleep when suddenly at end, I was attacked by those smexy abs ! I was breathless and wide awake after that, lol. I had to rewatch healer scenes for couple of hours before I could sleep !

When are kdramas going to stop with the shirtless male lead scenes? I love many so things about kdramas but shirtless scenes are not one of them. It feels gratuitous and objectifying :/

There really is no other purpose for it but that. And I am enjoying the hell out of it.
It would only stop once all the people who enjoy shirtless men on their screens are gone from this world. It's business. It will not go away.
If I had the choice, I would want to see shirtless women as well on screen. Play fair. If men can do it, so can women.

It should be like K-Pop. Guys take off their shirts and thrust their junk on stage AND girls do sexy dances in sexy clothes. Except girl groups are much more likely to get banned (by KBS anyway) and get called sluts... remember when that Rainbow dance got banned because they lifted up their shirts to show their abs lmao.

I'm of the opinion that nothing is sexier than a suit. A well-fitted suit.
If I had to pick a scene with my favorite actors shirtless vs. a scene with my favorite actors in suits, I'd go for the suits, no question.

I also like really like uniform, it just looked so good
It doesn't badly need a shower scene for showing how hot someone is in a drama but I am more lenient to accept the scene cause I knew some people really like that kind of scene as well

There are too many suits in kdramas at times. Give me a thin white cotton tee tucked into a low slung pair of jeans - for novelty's sake if nothing else - on a body like Ji Chang Wook's and I'd be just as happy as with half-frontal. But then I'm egalitarian - naked, tee or suit I'm just happy to see this guy on screen again.

imo it's no more gratuitous and objectifying than a girl in a very very short skirt/dress. Some fantasize on JCW's muscles and others on bare legs on display thanks to minimalist clothing (and there's a lot more of the latter than the former in kdramas). If bare chests have to be banned, it should be the same for bare thighs, backs and generous cleavages. So where do we draw the line?

Was I the only one who was left unmoved by the blatent display of JCW's ABS in that last teaser? They had ABSolutely no impact on me at all.
That said, it is ABSurd how much I am looking forward being totally ABSorbed in JCW's new role. He is ABSolved of his crime of being ABSent from my drama screen after ABSconding with my heart in Healer.
But seriously, those ABS did nothing for me...

Not y'all commenting about JCW's abs and not how Yoona slayed in this teaser, I mean, it was short, but still she emoted like she never had before, so I'm positive that this role will be a success for her.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed - if not the story, at least their chemistry seems to be really strong, because damn, this vulnerable gaze he sent her... I am sold.

I hope Yoona will impress us like KTH did in Yong Pal. Some fans discredited her because Yong Pal's plot was messed up, and Joo Won was like underused in second part, but only God knows how happy I was that we finally got not only badass female lead, but with some evilness on herself.
Even I'm looking forward to see more of Song Yoon Ah's scenes as she will play the villain, but i hope Yoona won't disappoint us.
This show, even everyone looking forward to see JCW more, but I do think the female parts will be important parts.

I was more impressed with her in this teaser than in the earlier one.
I've said it before and I am very much intrigued by her character, especially when I saw fan photos of her running around in a white night gown, barefoot and all bloodied in the streets of Spain. I seriously hope that this drama does not disappoint.
And JCW's abs, ohmygod! Plus that face!

Haha you and I both chingu ;) actually JCW is perfectly buffed here. I hate it when guys are too buffed but this is perfect. I'm glad he's been working out since Healer. He looked great in Whirlwind 2....but I dropped that drama. Even JCW doesn't save it for me, however I can't wait for this!!! :D

Okay is it just me or the this writer has some crazy obsession with isolated female protagonists? First it was Kim tae hee in Yong pal and now its Yoona in The k2! Fortunately Kim tae hee's isoltaed hospital cell prisoner character turned out really well so i hope the writer's new version of isolated hospital cell prisoner character 2.O turn out interesting too.

I noticed this too, it gives off this weird feeling of dolls locked up in golden cages. In addition it seems that the heroines in this writer's dramas always have a crazy/unbalanced streak.

So excited to get Ji Chang-wook back on the small screen, it's been too long! Weirdly, the show's premise doesn't really hook me, but I'll be watching it purely because of this guy.

I hate it when seeing A Kpop boybands showing their Abs on stage with make up, their hairstyle, the eyeliner and all they all act like some of male god the sexiest man in the world yet i feel disgusted seeing them dancing and go shirtless! they looks forced to much i don't know!

Unfortunetly I think it will be this way till te end. In Yong Pal after few episodes we lost Yong-pal and remembered about him only in last minute. It was a female centric show, so I am 80% sure this one will be all about Anna.

Why are people looking for Healer vibes? I mean, K2 is almost of same genre as Healer, but the plot is different and if two dramas are same then what will be the fun in watching? Healer was unique in its own way and I am sure K2 will be too.

You know those scenes where a trunk door is opened revealing an array of weaponry from rifles to handguns, and if you're lucky, shuriken? Well, our abolicious dude has that, but because of the hatchback window, his reveal comes after he retracts that little spring loaded pull screen.

I am telling you, korean actors like ji chang wook, park bo gum, ji soo, lee jong seok, yoo ji tae, park seo joon etc etc are seriously messing with my standards of attractiveness. And their acting skills only increase their attractiveness for me. I don't even care for the abs (though, that's a bonus ;) ), their face alone is enough for me. I am seriously scared that after watching too much of these actors, at one point I ll stop finding guys from around here attractive at all! There should be a phobia name for this, could it be icouldnevermarryaoppaphobia?
