Beanie level: Noble idiot

Criminal Minds ep 8 felt wildly different from previous episodes, focusing so much on the actual criminal’s mind. Interesting, but the show’s tones are all over the place. Still enjoying, though!

    This week’s story arc on its own was good, but the drama overall, I agree it is all over the place.

    I feel like the Show thinks that it can only grip viewers and KEEP viewers if there’s something big and drastic every single moment in every single episode, but truly, for me, and I’m sure for a whole handful of viewers, what we really enjoy most are the subtle, quiet moments that show us the true personalities of each of our beloved characters… Don’t get me wrong, the cases are interesting, but I just don’t need something big and in-my-face to be happening for every second, every minute of an episode to keep me tied to my screen XD

      I agree with what you said completely! I much prefer the episodes that focus on members of the team, those hit much closer to home for me and I actually care about their safety and wellbeing. I appreciate the big, menacing cases, but the show needs to utilize their powerhouse actors. I feel like Moon Chae-won hasn’t been given much to do yet and I really want a strong, badass, smart woman leading the team around for a bit. I want more focus on the characters than on multiple serial killers running loose around South Korea and that random anthrax story that started and ended in one episode, ha.

        I feel like Moon Chae Won and Lee Sun Bin should have been given each other’s characters to portray…. I feel like Moon Chae Won would have done a better job as the “Korean JJ” and Lee Sun Bin would have had more of a chance to show whatever acting ability she has as the “Korean Prentiss”… Lee Sun Bin’s current version of the “Korean JJ” is a bit too soft and pretty for me XD

      I like Island more, but both are great! Also jamming out to Jung Yonghwa’s That Girl and EXO’s entire The War album. It’s been a long month without dramas or K-pop, now I feel like I have so much catching up to do!

Ep 1 of Bride of the Water God… eh, such mixed feelings. It felt so forced. I don\’t think NJH was the right choice for lead. Hopefully IJH has a lot to do because HE\’S the one with the charisma.

      Absolutely. I loved the more mature vibe they gave with “Again”, it’s a pity they didn’t have a music video to go with it, so it seems like they’ll be capable of taking their music and concepts a new direction very successfully.

      Honestly, I wish Dramabeans ONLY had an upvote button. I would think that If you don’t like a comment, just don’t click the thumbs-up?? A system like that would immediately remedy a lot of the salty people–as well the accidental hitting of the downvote button instead of the upvote. *shrugs*

        I agree. A downvote button is unnecessary. If you disagree or dislike someone’s comment then respond with a comment of your own. Open up the dialogue. Or as you said just don’t like it! When we first moved to the new website I accidentally disliked a comment and freaked out!! Andwae!! Thankfully you can undo it. But heart palpitations ensued. Hahaha

    Seems like someone is on a downvoting spree. The amount of downvotes in that eps is quite unusual. And I think there is nothing controversial or rude about those comments.

      I noticed that too! Kept wondering why coz we hardly had downvotes in previous CT recaps. Perhaps a backstabber? A Baek Tae Min supporter LOL! But even Tae Min’s supporter woudn’t give a downvote I think. (His 30s look is so HOT)

        voodoo doll was the first kpop song i went gaga over, i played it for 3 days straight, there is something so captivating, endearing and mysterious about them 🙂 it’s also the first group i recommend to friends if they want to listen to kpop

          My first VIXX song was Dynamite, which I loved. However, I didn’t get into them until I found Error quite a while later. Literally cried. Then I watched Eternity, and after that I saw Voodoo Doll — and by then I was sold on them. They can do dark concepts SO WELL. See Hyde. But also happy, fun ones, too, like G.R.8.U. and Love Equation. Chained Up era is my favorite, though…

            chained up is an awesome song, i love their dark concepts so much, they always do something different somehow 🙂 dynamite is a great song but the styling was just so “weird” but in a good way, i can never pick my ultimate bias with them either, they are all so loveable in their own way

        yes!! they were so funny and everything was so ironic jajaja acting as respectful hoobaes to their hoobaes and referring to their “beast” counterparts as wonderful and people they aspire to be, i was cracking up during that episode. I only remember having laughed as much in the Suju episode.
