Lee Soo-kyung makes guest appearance on Bring It On, Ghost
by javabeans
Aw, I love it when a cast clearly enjoys working together and comes back for another round. With Bring It On, Ghost director Park Joon-hwa having previously worked on both seasons of Let’s Eat, we’re seeing a parade of familiar faces both in the cast proper and in the cameo lineup, and Let’s Eat’s leading lady Lee Soo-kyung is the latest to be joining the crew.
We’ve already seen a few Let’s Eat alums in the horror-comedy-romance drama about the boy with exorcist abilities who teams with an amnesiac ghost to dispatch malicious ghosts to the hereafter, and then also falls for her. Shim Hyung-tak has popped up a couple times to play Taecyeon’s professor (though sadly he’s not given much time to be hilarious), and comedic scene-stealer Lee Do-yeon plays Kim So-hyun’s boy-crazy ghost unni who’s always dangling after one good-looking guy or another. And, of course, one of our main characters, the kindly-yet-sinister vet, is played by Let’s Eat 2′s second lead, Kwon Yul.
Lee Soo-kyung’s appearance will come in Episode 9, and is reportedly one with a fair amount of screen/story time. The details of her role haven’t been divulged, but with the drama’s episodic structure with the ghosts of the week, I’m going to hazard a guess that she’s either a ghost or a ghost’s surviving loved one. While we’re at it, can I put in an order to get Yoon Doo-joon to drop by for a cameo too? And Seo Hyun-jin too, for that matter? Although, I suppose that would make for the world’s awkwardest three-way reunion, and then maybe they’d all end up ghosts.
Lee Soo-kyung will head into shoots next week, and her scenes will be broadcast on August 8.

Yes, 3-way reunion! Then maybe they can finally explain why Sookyoung and Daeyoung broke up. Can they bring Barasshi too?

Yes! They can explain why Soo-Kyung and Doo-Joon characters split in "Let's Eat"!
Also isn't Barasshi the dog where Professor Joo (Kwon Yul) had "rescued" in the school?

Yes, same dog, whose owner in Ghost still hasn't turned up. It would be funny if Lee Soo-kyung comes in as her Let's Eat character to reclaim her lost dog.

I only need Doo Joon to make a cameo with Kim Seul Gi. Shim Hyung Tak should make another cameo ..that was too short.. We need more muscles, haha, as if Taecyeon's not enough. When did Taecyeon get to be that cute?

I'm watching soulmate these days and i'm surprised not to find any of the cast in recent shows. Were they never that big or was soulmate never that popular? Maybe they are just inactive but I want to see them in good projects.

I don't think Soulmate was much of a hit because it was a sitcom so it had a different broadcasting schedule. However, I believe it had a cult following in Korea when it aired.
Unfortunately, Shin Dong-wook got diagnosed with CRPS, a rare illness that is ranked as one of the most painful diseases, during his military service in 2011 and has been inactive since.
The other cast members are steadily working I believe so they are probably just inactive at the moment.

It's still one of the memorable dramas for me. the storytelling was good and too bad there was no season 2. Only Lee Soo Kyung is steadily doing shows after. I remember Shin Dong Wook as second lead in a drama after that but I also heard that he had serious illness.

On another note, maybe the reunion will be Soo-Kyung, Doo-Joon and Hyun-Jin battling it out at funeral parlours over the offerings made for the dead and the episode will be called "THE eX (Wo)MEN".

It's too bad Shim Hyung-tak's cameo was so brief and he wasn't given any funny lines as he was absolutely hilarious in LE as the love-struck attorney.
Lee Do-yeon was also hilarious in LE; just too bad so many make nasty comments about her looks.
Sure, LDY wasn't blessed when it came to genetics, but she's talented and had the courage to enter a profession, despite knowing that it would make her an even bigger target.
