Youths Over Flowers snatches up the boys of Answer Me 1988

And I mean snatched — in trademark Na PD style, the actors didn’t know what hit them. He and his team stealthily collaborated with the Answer Me 1988 crew to kidnap the boys of Ssangmundong for the latest edition of Youths Over Flowers.
He took actors Ryu Joon-yeol (Jung-hwan), Go Kyung-pyo (Sun-woo), and Ahn Jae-hong (Jung-bong) from Phuket on the tail-end of Answer Me 1998’s celebratory vacation (earned as a result of their outstanding viewership ratings), while Park Bo-gum (Taek), who had returned from Thailand early to film a segment on Music Bank, was taken hostage in Korea as soon as the live recording concluded.
The actors were whisked away to Africa’s Namibia on January 22, and the Youth Over Flowers staff explained, “Namibia is known as Africa’s hidden jewel. It’s a popular tourist destination for many Europeans.” I can never stop being worried for the actors, since Na PD is sure to throw them curveballs and difficult tasks. Go easy on them please, they just got done with a grueling filming schedule!
The foursome will be in Namibia for ten days (Lee Dong-hwi sadly couldn’t join due to film and CF commitments), and Youths Over Flowers in Africa will air following Youths Over Flowers in Iceland on tvN in mid-February. Who’s hoping for a Cheese in the Trap mashup next?

I think Na PD thinks women are too resourceful. He needs at least a SeungGi in the group if he wants to kidnap women, hur hur.
Or maybe because actresses will hit him in the face if he springs on them and made them go barefaced. Men are able to get off passing off as Trash but women can't because of ~image~. (Although since all three Answer Me female leads have already trashed their perfect girly images on screen...)
I have no idea. I just hope for a Ra Miran and Sisters Noona Over Flowers with Lee DongHwi or Ryu JunYeol as their luggage boy. Hey, why not both! I neeeed to see the adorable doting on screen!

Dramafever put up a YOF-Iceland page, coming soon, or so they said a few weeks back. Evidently, they are planning on subbing that and putting up at some point so YOF-Africa should definitely be subbed and released given the popularity of show and cast. Hopefully sooner than later! :)

I read in CJES instagram post, Ryu Jun Yeol forgot his card wallet and frantically calling his manager but his manager didn't pick up the phone. Apparently Ryu Jun Yeol's manager forgot to give the wallet to him in his airport hahahahaha ?

Park Bo Gum's popularity is insane right now. He has the appeal for both Korean and international fan. Being a 93, he has lots of time to climb up. He might even reach Kim Soo-huyn or Lee Min-ho level if he plays his card right. Reply series and Na PD is a god sent gift to this man-child.
He is shapping up to be the next Seung-gi with all his studies, variety, hosting, acting and occasional singing (not that anyone can replace the golden boy, EVER! - I am still really upset about his enlistment news!)
Can't wait to see how he fares in variety.

absolutely loving the iceland trip version (in fact, more so than any other na PD show yet), but omg this one is through the roof. already SO excited. not to mention, maybe it'll soothe my answer-me-1988-induced broken heart a little to see these guys reunited. in a real life sort of situation. it's too bad about lee dong-hwi. but maybe na PD will prank us and he might end up showing up for a day or two? possibly!?
i wonder if the boys even had any idea that they were being considered for a na PD trip, or if it was all done behind their backs through their respective managers/agencies? fervently hoping for the latter.
it's funny. i initially thought the male cast of 1988 was severely lacking in eye candy. it took me maybe 2 or 3 weeks to warm up to them all, but by then their stories and acting eclipsed any disappointment i felt about their looks, and now i love them the most out of all 3 series...

Haha yay! I leapt up for joy and cheered when I saw this headline. I really see Park Bo-gum as the Baro of the group, and after watching his V-app broadcast, Ryu Joon Yeol seems like the guy with a really good head on his shoulders, like Yoo Yeon-seok in Youth over Flowers Laos. Can't wait to see this!

I so love this!!! Thank Na PDnim for coming up with this great scheme! The poor boys were totally not expecting this! I can't wait to watch this, I really hope that it will get subbed so I can understand everything but even if not I'm so going to watch this. Please air soon show!!! I'm so envious that they are now in Namibia...last November I spent my vacation there. Three weeks weren't enough! Such a beautiful beautiful country but extremely vast and the roads/pads can get exhausting. We drove 3800km in 20 days. I hope they are going to be safe because now it's rainy season in Namibia and some of the main tourist driving courses are flooded (I've seen pictures on Facebook). But nevertheless I want to go too!!!

Some of the earlier ones are on Hulu, the first and second season only, and Noonas over Flowers too with Lee Mi Yeon and Seung-gi yah! I was hoping they would pick up YoF but have no luck. So hoping that at least DF would pick up this due to the popularity of AM 1988.

When Reply 1994 boys got in this, I was like hahahaha go get em Na PD!! Because they're cheeky and funny to get trolled. And credit to Yoo Yeonseok to be the smarty one. But what is this sensitive spot that tells me please Na PD dont you dare hurt them :(( they're too adorable to be kidnap (is this because all the tears they brought us in the drama or somethin?)
And I can sense that the cast would be pretty clueless, I mean with Park Bogum join later, they would be protecting him like how a big bros should do, but then actually the youngest know better. Wait, that's Reply 1988 all over again.
And YES with the Noona one! Just bring Ra Miran, Lee Ilhwa, and Kim Sunyoung to the set! And Lee Donghwi instead of Lee Seunggi (since he passed this one, and Lee Seunggi is going to army soon too so...)! Ohhh I'll be dying to see that. And actually the dads are not a bad idea either, Sung Dongil, Choi Moosung, Yoo Jaemyung, and youngest Kim Sungkyun would be teriffic!
