Yoo Yeon-seok and Moon Chae-won’s seduction train takes off

It’s kind of funny how on paper, this movie sounded like Before Sunrise when Yoo Yeon-seok (Warm and Cozy) and Moon Chae-won (Good Doctor) were cast: A man and a woman meet by chance on the KTX train from Seoul to Busan and a romance unfolds over the course of a day. But it turns out that Mood of the Day is a comedy that starts out with Yoo Yeon-seok declaring to Moon Chae-won at first sight: “I’m going to sleep with you tonight.” What, now?
Yoo Yeon-seok stars as a sports agent who’s used to getting whatever he wants, which explains his brash approach. Moon Chae-won plays a cosmetics marketer who doesn’t fall for his charms in the least… at first. They spend the whole day together, and from what I can gather, the movie is literally all about him trying to get in her pants. On the one hand, it could make for a funny date movie if handled well; on the other, it could be grossly offensive.
Because based on the teaser, Yoo Yeon-seok’s character kinda seems like a sleazeball who’s trying to convince Moon Chae-won to get drunk and have a one-night stand with him. Please tell me there’s more to his character. There is, right? I’d be fine with it if Moon Chae-won were happy to sleep with him (then we get a sexy rom-com, free and clear), but it seems like he’s going to spend the day wearing her down while she says no, which blech, does not sit right with me.
The teaser tells us that whether or not these two “do it” is dependent on the mood of the day. His first approach is to announce that he’s going to sleep with her. Next they share a meal and he gets her to drink, after she swore that she wouldn’t. His final tactic is to insist on sharing a cab to drop her off, while swearing that he’s given up on sleeping with her. Before she can catch herself, she asks in disappointment, “Why?”
I’m going to hope that there’s a lot more to this movie than what the teaser is showing, because I really like these two actors, and they seem like they’ll make a good onscreen couple. Who knows, maybe she’ll turn the tables on him and announce that she’s going to seduce him? Now that would be refreshing.

I love Moon Chae Won even though I'm not high on YYS. However, I did love him as Chilbongie and I feel like he shines in movie roles vs dramas (his scenes in Architecture 101 & Beauty Inside were decent) so I hope this is a good movie :)

I think it's because of her U shaped face (she said so) that makes her looks chubby. She does have a chubby face haha and the girl loves to eat when she is on hiatus from work.

That sounds like a terrible premise. But there's a lot of crap I'd go for if we bring YYS into the equation. I really could go through a hundred more Warm and Cozy. I just hope I don't have to though.

YYS looking so good here! does this movie was before warm and cozy? cause in WAC he was a lot thin and with different hair color. i love him more here, he's sexy! and MCW looks great! they look good together..

Rather disappointed with the storyline. Was hoping for something more romantic...like Moon Chae Won's character being cold n reticent but bubbly n charming YYS's character wins her over by the end of the day - she has the best day of her life bec of this guy and falls head over heels with him.
But YYS is very cute in the trailer and doesn't appear sleazy at all. More cheeky than sleazy. Crossy fingers.

I'm super wary of this, I got burned before hoping for a fun rom-com with MCW's last movie with LSG. Love forecast had some good moments but I hated how it seemed as if MCW's character HAD to be with the hero just because he was a nice guy who did everything for her and thus felt entitled to her. In the end, I think the heroine just kinda settled for him because she felt bad.
Sorry for the rant! I didn't realise I had such strong feelings about that movie lol. Anyway I'll keep an eye on this movie (because chilbongie is love <3 ^^) but I won't have my hopes up from the dodgy premise.

Wtf, ew. How the heck did they score Moon Chae-Won and Yoo Yeon-Seok? Ughhhhh x 100. Definitely skipping it, unless the ending involves that douchecanoe male lead being thrown off the train (sorry, Chilbongie).

It's a pity it's a movie. This sounds like a brilliant premise for a drama, doesn't it? Two working professionals, one night stands...no chaebols or damsels in distress....

Yeah, but that would probably be a 16-episode drama with a lot more characters and side stories that I'm not sure I'm up for. There were parts of the movie that felt a little connived but all in all, it was a clean watch. I just wish some of the deeper angles were given more emphasis so that I didn't have to over-analyze the angst bit just to appreciate it.

The teaser did not give the movie any justice. The movie is not just about Jae-hyun trying to get into Soo-jung's pant. It's also about self discovery.
Soo-jung was in a 10 years relationship but, after finding out that one of her friend is getting marry after meeting the guy only once, started to reconsider her view on relationship.
Jae-hyun on the other hand, spent his bachelor live not wanting a commitment, also satrted to reevaluate it after meeting Soo-jung.
They do not start on good term being Jae-hyun declaring he will sleep with her but during their journey to Busan, the magic happened and everything else doesn't matter.
And the rendition of Photograph by Ed Sheeran was amazing.
I ship Moon Chae-won and Song Joong-ki so hard that I was surprised that now, I wanted her and Yoo Yeon-seok to be a real deal. Their chemistry was WOW.

I really liked this film. There's something about the courage it took for the characters to depart from their normal ways and to embark in something that's new to both of them. I liked that the take on sex was romanticized in a good way.
It's the kind of film you'll watch when you're looking to curl under your sheets with a tub of ice cream on a rainy night.
I watched it three times already.
