Kim Sun-ah is a Fresh Woman
by javabeans
Need a laugh? Trust Kim Sun-ah, star of SBS’s upcoming City Hall, to do it for you.
The previously released stills of the pageant scene showed Kim in a pretty pageant dress; here, she pokes fun by parodying Rain, who sported a similar goofy look while promoting his song “Fresh Woman.” (Video below.)
SONG OF THE DAY
Rain – “Fresh Woman.” I know I’m not the only person who thought for the longest time that Rain was singing about “fresh ramen, fresh ramen”! Mmm, ramen. [ Download ]

City Hall drama premieres on Wednesday, and this goofy Fresh Woman segment isn’t the only dance to look forward to — there’s also an upcoming tango between Kim and her co-star, Cha Seung-won.
The scenes occur after Kim’s character joins the pageant to win the prize money to pay off card debts. (They’re really milking the comic pageant silliness to hype the drama’s premiere, aren’t they? Well, as long as it works…)
If you wanna compare, here’s Rain‘s own goofball performance:

OMG!
Fresh Ramen is exactly what I was hearing when I heard the song. Sometimes it even sounded like, Fresh Robin. Then I would start singing the Rockin Robin song in my head.

ROFLMAO. You're not the only one. I really thought it sounds like ramen. (or wamen, in some instances at the end part of the song)
This drama looks good though. I'm just not quite sure about the plot about politics.

Wah! You're not alone. I always thought it said fresh ramen and started singing it at school. I let my friends hear it and they agree.

Fresh Ramen...buahaha....talk about a perfect song for product endorsement.
Reminds me of Gong Hyo Jin in Hello My Teacher (or was that a spoof of the MV, too? can't remember)

At first I was gonna watch it for Cha Seung-won, but now it's for Kim Sun Ah too. This seems like it's gonna be fun XD

oh really? Fresh Woman? Even after pointing that out, I am still convinced that it is fresh ramen. lol
And while we are still at it, in the Youtube clip @ 3:12, was that "Everybody scram" or "Everybody scream"?
City Hall has 20 epis and this is only the premiere? While I am not worried about these 2 leading actors' acting capabilities, I hope the PD/writer pace out this drama well and not let it fizzle out at the end.

I am a little worried.
City Hall has some stiff competition, and I am not sure that every good drama can succeed at the same time. SBS is putting City Hall on tonight, right?
Isn't MBC's Cinderella Man also on at the same time?
And then KBS's 6 Months (I Was Just Looking, or something like that) is also on tonight? Is 6 Months' premiere also tonight? Why would they do that?
Why can't the networks just cooperate, and then maybe more dramas can succeed (ratings-wise). What if I want to watch more than one? Are they even going to match time-slots too?

Jeez, how many names does this drama have? 6 Months, Accidental Couple, As I Was Looking....it has a 10 p.m. KBS slot. I think it starts tonight (Wednesday Thursday?).
I think City Hall has the 10 p.m. SBS slot.
And Cinderella Man has the 10 p.m. MBC time slot....
Seriously, putting City Hall against Accidental Couple is like telling k-drama fans, "You must choose between your children. choose one." It's not fair.
Luckily, this is mostly an academic inquiry on my part, because the three K-TV channels we do get are like weird ones that don't correspond to the TV guide. So I couldn't watch any of them live anyway. For example, Temptation of Wife is far behind what is playing elsewhere, and when it is on, it is called "SBS News." LOL.

@ 26 & 30 Samsooki :
Oh ya, don't we all know it. Can you imagine if we are all living in Korea right now? We would be having 3 TVs on, at the same time, in the same room, lined up against each other and then grow 2 extra pairs of eyes!!!!
Stupid rivalry I must say.

See, now THAT dance looks like there's actual emotion involved...as opposed to some of the awkward ballroom dancing scenes to which we've been victim recently...and these past few years.
I'm kinda curious about the show now...
