Three hour train ride through Italy x 2 = 6 hours of kdramas. And this was a favorite scene. Best friends don’t let best friends break up alone–even if it is a one-sided break up.

        Husband started it, I finished it–which is what has been happening lately. He’s been watching films (c-films and k-films) instead! He couldn’t finish this one because the lead looks like he’s 12 (in his own words). I did fill him in though!

    Nice use of travel time. My favorite bit was before that, when she had her worried face turned up to him, and he looked down at her like she was the loveliest girl he would ever see, and he couldn’t bare to make her sad. You could see his heart in his look, and his heart breaking as he “forgave” her.

      All the bromance towards the end broke me. I also liked Han Gyul supporting In Ho after he found out about the sleeping pills. I totally thought he was going to scold him severely, but refreshingly, he didn’t. It should be in a how-to video on “how to talk to a friend who might be suicidal.” I say that half-jokingly, but it was a great scene as well.

        there were lots of scenes this drama surprised me with how its characters handled themselves. A lot more wise and thoughtful for their age, or for anyone’s age.

Everyone is changing their tune (pun intended) pretty quickly and trying to amend for past wrongs, esp our first lead. I like his acting in this. I’m watching that third lead like a hawk, though!

      I know! I’ve noticed that facial proximity to the lead actress usually equates to which lead gets the girl. The third lead never has any scenes standing close to her– not in her galaxy– Give him 5 years, though, he’ll get the girl! I love his wtf expressions whenever the other two guys are making goo-goo eyes at her. When he’s in frame, he’s hilarious.

        He was a scene-stealer for sure! I am looking forward to him playing a second lead perhaps, and then eventually a lead sometime later in his career!

        I actually watched up until like, ep 7 or 8 and I thought his crush on her was cute, but I always felt bad because I just knew he was forever in the friend zone. 😅 I can imagine his wtf expressions, though! That’s funny. But hey, at least she never led him on! There was always a line and he they both knew it. I hate it when they do that… 😒

      I was just thinking of my own life, and only after the fact did I ever find out who was interested in me–and never in high school. In college, a few, but never at the exact same time! And a lot of one-sided interests on my part too! I don’t know why, but this show reminds me of my younger life. I was so clueless, so it probably was better for me not to know. 😆

        Omo, I just figured out why…*mind officially blown* I had a relationship just like this in college. Uber talented musician who I was so enamored/ impressed with, who liked hanging out with me for whatever reason. Never got serious, but this is what it felt like. Wow. I had almost forgotten. #kdramaconfessions

            Hah! Maybe when I retire in 20 years! It’s funny that life doesn’t feel like a kdrama when you’re actually living through it, but really does when you look back at it. There are some great scenes I can pick out of my life (and I’m sure other beanies’ lives too) that would make kdrama scenes. My heart is fluttering 💓 just thinking about it. *sigh*

      Not that unrealistic if the girl is Sorim. It would be more surprising if they were in proximity to her and didn’t fall for an awesome girl like her. 😀 Besides, as a future-star, it’s practically her job requirement to make people fall for her. It’s how celebrities have so many fans after all LD

I like dramas where the lead shows growth; Han-gyul has A LOT of growing up to do. I like Yoo-na too. The line where she confronted him about just using people for his own musical gain was spot on.

    Joy is adorable. I think that her trauma, almost PTSD-like, is why she shuts down. And I loved how giddy she was when he saw him again.
