Since watching Chicago Typewriter at midnight and in the morning crept me out, I watched ep 6 in the afternoon. STILL. CREEPS. ME. OUT. Oh this show’s dark humor!
It’s the fun beanie level that you get on your profile (for being active on DB):
First you’re a candy,
then Jang Geu Rae,
the level up to Watermaid
the next one would be the noble idiot etc.
Since I don’t want to watch Chicago Typewriter at midnight, I watched it in the morning instead. It still gives me creeps and goosebumps. In a mindblowing kinda way. Now I can’t move on.
Are you the hide-in-the-closet kind of kdrama fan? Or you’re the type who don’t mind telling the world how obsessed you are? I’m still in the closet, and nope, not coming out anytime soon.
Me too! I’m still in the closet, my sisters are the only ones who know how crazy I can get over K-dramas (they’ve seen me ugly-crying and all), I don’t think anyone else would understand my obsession!
I’m so open about my obsession! So out of the closet it funny.
My family find me crazy, except my sister who still believes that a k-pop band singing “happy birthday” would be the best gift ever. My coworkers find me weird. My boyfriend thinks I’m adorable and I even tell drama plots to my friends and try to make them watched it with me. So far I manages to convert only 2 of my friends…and one of them only watched “Legend Of The Blue Sea”.
Oh wow. I admire you! I have a friend who’s so open about it (and didn’t care what others think), and she’s one of those rare few who knows about my obsession. But we have like this unspoken rule that she would never expose me to the world LOL.
I’m still in the closet too. My sister is the only one who understand my obsession since she is also a kdrama lover (though we have a very different taste). My family and friends all think that I am only a casual watcher. I can’t imagine how shocked they would be if they know the amount of time I spend to stalk DB and my oppar.
Yes! “Casual watcher” – aren’t we all been hiding behind those words LOL! I know for a fact that some of my friends are also “casual watchers”.. but thinking about it now, just maybe, MAYBE they are also in the closet too!
Haha, make room in that closet for me 😃 I do tell people that I watch them, but I don’t think even my family knows how obsessed I really am. For instance when I listen to Korean music I use headphones 😉
This is one expandable closet so everyone is most welcome! I’m being very discreet about it that I don’t even follow any Kdrama related social media. I just hope they don’t find what’s in my Safari bookmarks and that hidden folder on my phone.
I am a weird mixture of both! My friends know of my addiction but I have managed to keep it a secret from my parents 😀 I have even tried making my friends watch it- and I have succeeded with 2 cousins and 1 friend. My parents not knowing works well for me because I should technically have no time to watch anything as I supposed to study 18 hours a day :/
I turned my niece into a casual watcher (she’s only watching teenage Kdramas for now) and I think she recently found Dramabeans and occasionally drop by to read the recaps. Of course she didn’t know her auntie is a hardcore beanie!
They all know I am so obsessed I invented a word for it…I don’t say “I watched dramas all night”…I say “I dramated all night”. And everybody understands me. Hello Everyone, My Name Is Yuelie And I’m An Addict. Hello Yuelie!
I have the feeling that Go Kyung Pyo\’s character might be the most tragic one out of the three, though he kinda creeps me out. I should never watch Chicago Typewriter at midnight.
I think I was scarred for life when I started watching episode 1 at mid-night and that typewriter started going crazy! I hadn’t been keeping up with news of the story line so I was completely taken by surprise!
And yes, Go Kyung Po’s character seems tragic. Is he THE typewriter? Is that why he fell in love at first sight with the heroine at the airport? I am so intrigued by this show!
I kept up with the news but still get goosebumps at 1st episode! Totally didn’t expect the creepiness. My theory is maybe he’s the soul trapped inside the typewriter and struggles to come out once he realised Se Jo is around for whatever connection the 3 had with each other. The first 2 eps feels like the typewriter (or him) is playing matchmaker so there might be something that went wrong before that he wants to make right. At least that’s what I think.
