Everyone is a suspect in Forest of Secrets
by tineybeanie
The latest teaser for Bae Doo-na (Tunnel) and Jo Seung-woo’s (God’s Gift—14 Days) mystery-thriller Forest of Secrets baits our curiosity with close-ups of all our main characters, and the ominous reminder that “everyone is a suspect with a motive.” Jo Seung-woo stars as a cold, logical prosecutor who begins to pursue a murder case where his fellow co-workers seem to all be in collusion to hide the crime, bowing to the whims of a corrupt entity from above.
Bae Doo-na plays a righteous, warm-hearted policewoman who comes to work on the case alongside Jo Seung-woo. They both walk past a horde of reporters to investigate the crime scene, and we’re told that every single person connected to the case is a likely suspect. As they dig deeper and analyze the forensic evidence, the copy reads: “An opportunity to turn the tables.”
In the last cut, a powerful high-ranking prosecutor grabs Jo Seung-woo in a chokehold, and the younger man disdainfully asks, “Should I close an eye to this as well?” In the ending voiceover, Jo Seung-woo repeats the show’s tagline: “An orchestrated truth. Everyone is a suspect with a motive.”
The still cuts below show Shin Hye-sun (Legend of the Blue Sea), who is playing a haughty young prosecutor. Both she and Lee Jun-hyuk (Naked Fireman), who can be seen in the teaser, will be playing Jo Seung-woo’s co-workers in the drama. Will they hide the insider secret on the side of the corrupt, or will they team up with our lead duo on the side of the just?
tvN’s new Saturday-Sunday drama Forest of Secrets will begin airing on June 10.

I like Shin Hye Sun. She's a hoot. Rooting for her career to take off. With Bae Doo Na at the fore, this drama should be trustworthy.

Yayy can't wait. Not exactly my cup of tea, but I think it'd be good to enjoy a good, familiar story amidst all the new-concept dramas we'll be having. Will be watching for the actors mostly though.

Corruption is ubiquitous so there will always be a drama about it. It's a fascinating subject since it's close to home.

I am so waiting for this drama. Anything with Jo Seung-woo; I'd watch him read the phone book - he is that good of an actor.

This looks so good!!! The cast is just fantastic. This reunites her with her onscreen dad in Sense8 (He is a very reliable character actor).
I have high hopes for this show. I love a good crime thriller, especially now that Tunnel is over.

Thank you for covering this drama. I know the interest is low. I'm one of the few who are looking forward to this a lot.
