Name That Drama: Bringing a knife to the gunfight

1. Name That Pervert?
   

   Suddenly a scene flashed in my mind: The leads go to a restaurant, and when the female lead goes alone to the washroom, she gets attacked by a male pervert who strips naked in front of her. Then she goes into shock for a few minutes until the male lead confronts her. It must be really easy to name this as it’s a famous drama, but I’m unable to remember the leads’ faces.

    

2. Name That Possibly Korean Movie
   

   I was watching a movie, which I think may have been Korean, about a boy and his mother. His mother was always working so she was never able to be around much for the boy, and he always envied the kids who had mothers that volunteered to hold stop signs at the crosswalks. The mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer and volunteered to be a crosswalk helper at some point during the movie, which made the boy really happy. When she died, she was blowing a whistle that the boy gave her, I think.

   Sorry this is a little vague! It’s been a long time since I’ve seen this movie, and I watched it halfway with my mother.

    

3. Name That Definitely Korean Movie
   

   I stumbled across a Korean movie a couple years ago, which I absolutely loved, but have not been able to remember the name of it to save my life! I remember that the premise was about at least three different guys, and their relationships with girlfriends before and after they go into the army. One of them is in a band, and his ex-girlfriend was a singer with them. There is another girl who is also in the band with them, who is very shy, but turns out to have an amazing voice, which is discovered when they are auditioning for a new lead singer. If you guys can help me figure out the name, I would be forever in your debt!

4. Name That Drama From a Clip
   

   Hey guys, I need your help! I don’t really watch Korean dramas, but I saw a very memorable clip a few years ago at a Korean market and now I really want to see it. I am positive it was a historical drama. The scene that I saw was a scene where it was raining. And the main guy is a king or some kind of higher official. I guess she is a slave or maid because she was washing clothes in the pond. I don’t remember what was being said because it was in Korean.

   But, the most memorable part for me was that he jumped into the pond with her and he kissed her. I just thought it was such a powerful scene although I did not understand Korean. Please help a sister out! Thanks!

    

5. Name That Shooting Range
   

   So I think this came out in the last few years and I think it was a drama recapped on Dramabeans. I only remember a couple scenes though. I think it was an action drama. I remember the editing was misleading (but not in the annoying way). There was an ajusshi and a friend of the lead who owned a shooting range, and the editing made it look like they were plotting against the male lead, but then it’s revealed that they’re trying to help him.

   The big baddie confronts them as they’re going somewhere (I think it was just the ajusshi or the friend) and he has a knife. He says something like, “I can kill you with my knife before you can get your gun because we’re in close range.” I also remember a scene where the male lead is practicing in the shooting range while his friend is there. He possibly (??) asks his friend for a gun. I dunno though. That’s all I remember and it’s driving me crazy.

    

6. Name THOSE Dramas, Plural
   

   Hello there, Beanies!

   There are two dramas I’m looking for, they aired at the same time or one after the other.

   First drama is about a girl and her mom. The mom sort of cons (?) men to get money (unsure of the specific details). She ends up marrying this rich man who has a daughter. The daughter is around the age of her own daughter, and they don’t get along at all. Fast forward a little and the woman’s stepdaughter wants to be a ballerina I believe? That’s all I remember… It’s very fluffy and fairy tale like.

   The second drama is about a boy who loves eating bread and he ends up living with his father and his family, his half-siblings, etc. He grows up, fights a lot and almost loses his eye sight. That’s all I remember for that one.

   They aired around 2009-2011.
