Here is what I am watching:
Kdrama
Goblin: Still love it.

Cdrama:
Behind Your Smile - Still tropey, but they gave the leading man a lot of good character development this week. Watching his mom yell at him made my heart sad for him. The leading lady's confession-not-confession could have been avoided, but I am glad she defended the farming brother.

V-Focus - Very far behind. As far as the secondary romance - Hoping that make the computer sweet geek more mature so I can go back to shipping their romance. I love him, but I feel like she is more of a big sister than a girlfriend.

Stay With Me - I haven't made it past the fainting scene. I'm sure I'll pick it up again.

No time for any other dramas, but I hope to find some Cdrama crack, soon. Goblin is my Kdrama crack, and that keeps me happy.

Heh, fortunately it was just one hour!

Regardless, the Taecyeon episode made me laugh my socks off.

Was it really that bad? Maybe they should have included another of its models in its cast. This will take up less than two minutes of your time :)

Is anyone else watching "Three Meals a Day: Fishing Village 3" with Lee Seo-jin, Eric Mun, Yoon Kyun-sang?

I'm inexplicably addicted.

Hello everyone! I dunno if my comment will be lost in the sea of everyone else's, but I wanted to know if there are any dramas out there like Goblin, Legend of the Blue Sea, My Love from the Star, or Secret Garden.

Basically dramas with the element of supernatural or magic. I find those to be so fun! And it turns out they are all from the same 2 writers. Thanks!

I'm a bit of a fan of the supernatural in the way of certain myths, not so much the magic. I loved Lobster. I liked YWCFS. However, I didn't finish Secret Garden once I knew a personage had used magic to do it. I won't watch Goblin.

So I can't give much information.

Search supernatural Korean dramas & you'll get DF lists and Amino lists.

Best wishes in your search!

I'm afraid I don't know much outside the usual suspects, but the one that comes to mind after reading your list is My Girlfriend is a Gumiho. If ghosts count, you have quite a few: I liked Arang and the Magistrate, Bring it on Ghost, Oh My Ghostess and Master's Sun. But if you haven't yet, one of my personal classics is I Hear Your Voice.

Heavy on the supernatural, light on the romance:

- Signal. A detective finds a walkie-talkie which connects him to a detective in the 1980s. Together, they solve crime!

- Vampire Prosecutor. I prefer season 2 (which you can watch on its own - interesting premise & freaking awesome bad guy)

- Secret Investigation Record (aka Joseon X-files). Set in Joseon & based on a historical UFO report. Really good.

- Possession aka Hon/Soul. Horror and very bloody.

- Nine. Time-traveling incense.

- Who Are You? Detectives, amnesia, ghosts, wisecracking shaman, thwarted true love.

Heavier on the romance & a little makjang:

- Rooftop Prince. The King of Joseon & three of his retainers get transported to modern-day Korea. The King's reincarnation's descendants are jerkfaces.

- Master's Sun. About a girl who is tormented by all the ghosts she can see, and the rude chaebol whose touch makes all the ghosts disappear.

- Night Watchman's Journal. I lost interest in this halfway through, but it does have Jung Il-woo.

Definitely my favorite genre. Is it the tone you're looking for or the supernatural? Because all of these have differing tones, but they're all quite good.

W: Two Worlds (inter-dimensional fantasy, my favorite drama)
Signal (time travel)
Nine: Nine Time Travels (time travel, the best I've seen)
Queen In-Hyun's Man (time travel, similar feel to some of those you've watched)
Master's Sun (ghosts, suuuper cute!)
Bring it On, Ghost (ghosts, also really cute)
Girl Who Sees Smells (she uh... she sees smells. It's actually done really well.)
Kill Me, Heal Me (it's not fantasy, but I think it fits well with the others you've watched and I liked it)
I Hear Your Voice (he uh... hears other people's voices. Their thoughts. I loved it.)

OH! And I forgot one of my favorites!

Ghost-Seeing Detective Cheo Yong: The name says it all - cop who sees ghosts & solves crimes w/the help of a high-school-age ghost. Low on the romance & high on the crime-solving, just the way I like it.

Guys, how is the drama "signal", is it worth watching?

I really liked it - especially the 'holy crap, changing the past actually has consequences' narrative - so many time travel shows just brush past that.

It's a well-written, brilliantly acted drama. Do be warned that it has an open ending. luckily I hear that the writer is in talks to make a season 2 though. It's a suspense/thriller/crime/mystery, and it ultimately points out the fault in the sociopolitical agenda. there is little romance, but enough to make you giddy. i recommend it.

Well-written and directed. I was stuck on episode 5 until I finally convinced myself to pick it up after reading the year-end reviews. I needed the right mood and environment to watch it. The main veteran detective leads riveted me to the end. Emotional ride. My eyes were swollen for 2 days.

Ok, this has been bugging me since I watched Signal - am I the only one who thinks Kim Hye Soo and Minho from Shinee look alike? I even thought maybe they were related or something.

Hahaha I can't say I see the resemblance; Kim Hye-soo looks rather like Kim Sun-ah to me. :-)

Tagging in late on Saturday night with temps in the low single digits and more show rolling in - brrrrr January! I worked at catching up with the episodes I've missed while out of town for Christmas and created "A Week's Worth of Kdramas - Week of January 1, 2017." You can check it out at:

https://cimiart.wordpress.com/2017/01/07/a-weeks-worth-of-kdramas-week-of-january-1-2017/

Here's to another great year in kdramaland. Over vacation I ended up in ER which was truly a RL version of a Korean medical drama complete with flower boy doctors and girl group interns - stay tuned for a detail description and pictures!

Happy New Year! Shoutout to the lovely folks I've chatted with regarding Hwang Chi Yeul and Moonlight Drawn By Clouds. In case you guys missed it :) ... here's one of the skits that Chi Yeul performed as a guest host of SNL8 on 24 December.

From 7 January 2017 onwards, Chi Yeul is one of the waiting room MCs on Immortal Songs 2!! Yay! He also took part as a competitor in the episode aired on 7 January:
