Jeon Hye-bin gets divorced in new movie With or Without You

A movie about a realistic romance has just been released on June 29, starring actress Jeon Hye-bin, who has been enjoying a resurgence in her career through her latest drama, Oh Hae-young Again. Playing the “Pretty Oh Hae-young,” Jeon received much love and support for being the rare sympathetic second lead. In her new film, With or Without You, she plays the role of Woo Yeon-yi, a has-been actress who dreams of a glamorous comeback to fame in the entertainment industry.

She meets a younger man named Oh Sun-jae, played by Shin Min-cheol (No Breathing), and instantly falls in love. He has been an assistant director since forever, but has big dreams of becoming a film producer. They marry, but divorce almost immediately. However, due to the nature of their work and other real world problems like rent, they don’t separate, and continue to live together as comfortable friends-with-benefits-sometimes. When a screenplay they write together becomes picked up for a movie deal, it becomes a catalyst for change in Yeon-yi and Sun-jae’s relationship.

The film explores the pragmatic aspects of breaking up with a cohabitation partner, the awkwardness of explaining to other people stuff that isn’t their business anyway, and the problems of having leftover feelings for an ex. If you’re in the mood for a more down-to-earth and realistic take on modern-day courtship, check out With or Without You in Korean theaters now.

I'm so happy for her!! I loved her in OHYA, by the end I think she was the most likable character. :) So rare for a female second lead.

I'm also hoping to see her leading more of her own dramas soon!

I also think she's the only likeable character by the end of the OHY drama...

I love pretty Jeon Hye-bin to pieces! One of the few underrated actresses in dramaland.

I'm still not familiar with Shin Min-Chul's films nor his K-pop days. Looks like his career is build on a few rom.com films. Hope this will be good for the 2 ex-idols.

I thought that guy on the far right (2nd picture) looks like Ha Jung Woo. Almost got excited thinking that he is part of the show lol.

The movie looks like it could be good. I like this actress and also feel she is underrated. I know international fans didn't take to The Joseon Gunman as much as Korean fans did, but she was excellent in it.

Every once in a while a rumor comes out she is dating Lee Joon Gi, and I actually hope it is true.

Jeon Hye-bin's best acting in sageuks. Queen In-soo, King and I, Joseon Gunman. She can hold her own against well known veteran actresses. She stole the show from Nam Sang Mi in Joseon Gunman.

I hope the rumor is true. I love them both!

Yeah, Binnie is kinda underrated but she got steady projects so maybe it can sustain her for long time. She also great in variety show especially that requires actions and survival.

I'm also secretly shipping LJG and JHB. Both of them in same age bracket and under same company too. There are few married couples under that agency too.

by the end of the drama, i was really annoyed by seo hyun-jin's oh hae-young (i'm not even that sure why) and i no longer knew why i thought do-kyung was charming (for me, it was never about eric's looks, but rather, his personality). i started to like jeon hye-bin's oh hae-young tho.

I think it's because she spent the whole drama trying to become a better person. She realized leaving Do Kyung was a hurtful move so she came back. She eventually realized he was in love with someone else so she tried to be supportive. She realized she was jealous of our Oh Hae Young and came clean about it and tried to clear up that relationship before moving on because it was a long one although forced on both of them. In other words, she did a lot of not so great things, but she was self aware - after a period of time - and tried to fix them. Arguably Do Kyung was too. The main Oh Hae Young was demonstrated as being already prefect but no one recognized this so I think there was less character evolution (in the script, not due to actors).

+1

That's a beautiful way to describe Jeon Hyebin's character. I only disagree with you on the titular Oh Haeyoung. She's far from perfect as she's immature and has a very strong victim mentality. Toward the end of the show, these has improved by a very small margin.

I agree! Perhaps it would be better to say I think main Oh Hae Young's journey was more of self acceptance than outward change so there was less shifting of her personality.

Is it about modern day courtship or the dysfunction of modern day courtship?

Am I the only one who thought the guy looks so much like that oddball doc (who operates on pig feet) in Doctors in the first poster?

Aww it looks so cute. I'm glad that her career is getting another boost. :D

(BTW that guy looks like the ex-SuJu member who left to focus on acting. The lead guy in I <3 Lee Tae-ri?)

I think I like her more on sageuk. Even she did well in modern dramas too. But ,for Oh Hae Young , Seo Hyun Jin totally owns the Oh Hae Young. But glad these two finally captivating many hearts after OHY. Hope their career will have more success. What a talented yet underrated actresses these two.

Beside from hoping the new about her dating with LJK is true, I also wishing our two Hae Youngs will be a best friend in real life. ☺☺☺

Is it just me or she looks like Nam Gong Min? That was my first impression of her in OHY.

Apparently JHB has gotten more attention due to OHYA, but she's done better work (her role in OHYA wasn't particularly interesting or challenging).

Doesn't get the attention (aside from maybe industry insiders) for better work, but there's nothing like acting in a hit to do wonders for one's career.
