Oh Snap! Kim Hye-soo stares into our souls
by HeadsNo2
I’m proud of High Cut for simmering down a bit when it comes to shooting female stars, since there was a period where all they seemed to like were blank, vapid stares in gaudy locations. Maybe it’s just a phase—or maybe, they’re maturing. (It’s probably just a phase.)
Either way, Kim Hye-soo looks amazing in this simple spread, coming fresh off the heels of her award-winning performance in the award-winning crime thriller Signal. Here’s hoping she sticks around dramaland for just a little while yet, before chungmuro inevitably steals her back.

Oh, really? I actually think this is the usual for High Cut. I think Lee Min Jung's shoot was not one of the publication's better days. Like all their shoots centered around Adidas gear LOL.
Kim looks wonderful!

She looks so good, sexy and hot, who knows she is already in her 40s..
Hope she will not missing from dramaland for a long time. Signal 2 will be good too, just saying ;)

I love her. I LOVE HER.
I remember the first Korean series I've watched religiously was her old drama where she was a flight attendant with a hilarious quirky family. I remember this one scene in a ladies' room, where a co-worker doing her business while dissing Kim Hye Soo's character to another colleague not knowing she entered the room. Kim Hye Soo then started kicking the bathroom stall and saying to tell it to her face. I thought that was so badass. (Well, I was barely 15 so the word badass probably wasn't the word I thought then. haha) She had a lot of great moments in that drama. I'm happy that someone that had a great influence on me as a woman continues to slay. You're my queen, Kim Hye Soo unnie!

She is stunning in those last 3 pictures.
I've seen people use the word chungmuro around but was never sure what it meant. I assume it stands for the Korean version of Hollywood?

Chungmuro = Korean films. Hallyu is the Korean version of Hollywood.

Chungmuro was the heart of Korea's film industry back in the early days. It's basically Korea's Hollywood.
Hallyu is entirely different. It's not a place, it's a term that refers to as the Korean wave, the worldwide spread of Korean pop culture, tv, movies etc
