Eric meets Oh Hae-young and Oh Hae-young Again

Aw, this teaser already makes me root for Seo Hyun-jin, who just plays such a good everygirl underdog heroine (a la Let’s Eat 2), and is going to face such an uphill battle being constantly compared to Jeon Hye-bin (Joseon Gunman) at every turn. Their new Monday-Tuesday drama for tvN, Oh Hae-young Again, is about two women who share a name but are as different as night and day, and Eric (Discovery of Romance), the man in their lives who can’t seem to get away from them.

The mystery romance stars Seo Hyun-jin as the average-in-every-way, plain Oh Hae-young, an assistant manager at a catering company who’s been stuck in that position for years. In school she was always compared to the Pretty Oh Hae-young (Jeon Hye-bin), who’s just better at everything, and one day Pretty Oh Hae-young enters her catering company as her new boss.

Eric plays a sound director in the film industry, who also has the ability to see the future. Jeon Hye-bin is his ex-fiancée who vanished without a trace and left him at the altar, and he’ll spend the drama trying to get disentangled from both Oh Hae-youngs (and failing, of course).

The show’s first teaser features Eric on dates with both women, and his polar opposite reactions to meeting each of them. Seo Hyun-jin’s character gets dubbed “Dirt Hae-young,” in contrast to Jeon Hye-bin’s “Gold Hae-young,” as in being born with a dirt spoon vs. a golden spoon.

Seo Hyun-jin opens up her wallet to look for coupons, but all she finds is dirt everywhere, and Eric just slides on protective goggles and a mask, heh. To add insult to injury, he then meets Jeon Hye-bin and is blinded by her beauty, and dribbles all his coffee down his shirt while gawking at her. I don’t think the teaser is very accurate to the story, but I get a kick out of Eric’s deadpan reactions.

Oh Hae-young Again follows Pied Piper on Mondays and Tuesdays beginning May 2.

I`d watch any RomCom so count me in. Thr trailer looks fun, but am not liking the hair， Eric，it is showing
your age. Hope he is not stuck with that hair style for the whole 16 eps.

Well, Eric isn't young anymore. It's better he looks like his age rather than looking like 20s lol. People need to accept that the ultimate oppa is getting older XD. I think this hair cut is better than in his super short hair in Que Sera Sera or mop-look like in Super Rookie.lol.

Hair cut aside, I prefer him in quirky roles. So, I trust him to give me good laugh in this drama.

Both girls are charming in their own. Hope to see chemistry among this three.

Actually, this type of "mop" hairstyle is something younger males (as well as young boys) would wear.

For someone his age, he should have a more "professional" style.

During my school in every stages I always had friends with the same name. Not only two but three and four. We tried to distinguish their name by calling their middle name instead to avoid misunderstanding because when we call one of them, another one must be think we call her too XD.

I love Seo Hyun-jin's quirky facial expressions. Jeon Hye-bin looks sooooo gorgeous! Excited to see her on my screen again. I hope her character isn't unlikable.

They hit a really nice one-two on the actresses here, I can't imagine better than Jeon Hye-bin and Seo Hyun-jin sharing a screen.

I just hope the material is worthy of their skills. I mean, obviously it's a romcom but still, I hope neither is reduced to a caricature.

I adore I Live in Cheongdamdong so having that writer attached is getting my hopes up for the material. All the characters in that were hilarious, heartwarming, and refreshing for over 100 episodes. This PD is great too so fingers crossed!

Seriously though, anyone who wants to laugh a lot and get a feel for this writer should check out I Live in Cheongdamdong on viki. It's a sitcom, but its easy to just tune in for a few episodes.

Looking forward to Oh Hae-young Again. Overly excited to see Eric back onscreen in a drama. Question: Do you think actresses Seo Hyun-Jin (age 31) and Jeon Hye-bin (age 32) have purposely chosen to pursue 1st lead vs. 2nd lead character roles?

Seo Hyun Jin and Jeon Hye Bin aren't the first choice though. The team wanted to cast Kim Ah Jung and Choi Kang Hee for main girl. But, I'm happy Seo Hyun Jin and Jeon Hye Bin got the roles. They seem fit the characters.

I'm the only one that likes Eric's hairs here? XD He looks more handsome with no bang but i thought he looks cute and younger with this bang. Didn't like it during the script reading as it was a tad longer and kinda covered his eyes.

Love Seo Hyunjin's quirk, Eric's is cute funny, Jeon Hyebin is very pretty there. They get perfect casting. Can't wait for this to start.

I like it, too. I generally like when people just wear their hair in a more relaxed way in dramas and it does make him look younger hahaha. His character is probably a chill guy on a normal day, lol.

The character supposed to be fun and quirky. I think that's why they choose the bangs hair cut. Eric is gorgeous without bangs but it will make him looks more serious and cold.
