Lee Min-ho courted by City Hunter PD, You From Another Star writer

Aaaaaaah! I don’t want to count chickens before they’ve hatched because I’m sure Lee Min-ho (Heirs) gets offers to come back to dramaland five times a day, but he’s currently entertaining an offer to headline writer Park Ji-eun’s next drama. He’s not likely to turn down a reunion with his beloved City Hunter PD Jin Hyuk, or the newest drama from the hit writer of You From Another Star, right? He’d be crazypants to say no, especially when this project would likely be his last before heading to army.

The new drama doesn’t even have a name, but it’s the highly anticipated new series from writer Park Ji-eun of The Producers and You From Another Star, and her re-team with PD Jin Hyuk of Master’s Sun and Doctor Stranger, which means it’ll be over at SBS. It was hinted at as just a rumor last summer, but I’m ecstatic to hear that the project is taking off.

All we know for now is that it’ll be a romantic comedy, which is even more cause for celebration. Lee Min-ho hasn’t done a rom-com since Personal Taste in 2010, and I could really use a light, lovable character to wash away the memory of Heirs. It would in all likelihood be his final project before army duty, and probably cutting it close at that, depending on the broadcast. He’s considering favorably for now.

In the meantime, Lee has his pan-Asian blockbuster Bounty Hunters on the way, and writer Park Ji-eun and PD Jin Hyuk’s new drama is being planned for sometime this year. I know he hasn’t even signed on yet, but who do you suppose should co-star as his leading lady?

Weren't there rumors of Jun Ji Hyun doing a drama with this scriptwriter? Is this the drama then? If so it prb won't go on floors for a while cause she has to give birth and will be on a leave for a while

certainly not well enough to cover for her deficiencies.

His best onscreen pairing till date was with Park Min-young, a repeat would be ideal if only they weren't exes/possibly awkward around each other.

I would prefer Park Bo Young! She is cute!

No no to Han Hyo Joo.. she doesn't match well with Min Ho in visual. Its just weird.. will give this drama a miss if it's her. Nothing against Hyo Joo but she isn't the right person.

Weird how? They're close in age and height, and not least importantly, they're both ridiculously good looking. HHJ hasn't been in a TV drama in years now, I doubt she'd be coming back now.

OMGGGG finally we have news on his drama comeback, is been way too long, hopefully he does accept this, and please give him a good actress, not an idol,THis will probably be his last drama before enlisting, he needs to go out with a bang.

And please, cut his hair, when his hair is short and up he looks amazing, his face deserves a better hair cut lol

I'd take LMH in any romcom. My top two favorite actresses right now are Park Bo-young and Kim Go-eun. So either one would be great. Also maybe Go Ara or Eunji (APink), my two fave AM female leads [add in Ryu Joon-yeol as second lead -- the dilemma it'll cause -- dream cast!]

Aww man, I missed LMH in dramaland. Dude does have that X factor on screen (think pink pants - who the heck can pull that off and still look cool)
He's sorely missed. City hunter was him at his best. I can never forget the last episode with that red eye in the guns pointing guns scene. Awesome. Why the heck he picked heirs after hitting such a peak is beyond me.

Thanks for this news because I can't wait for another 2 years to see him in a drama. I miss him sooooo much! Please let Han Hyo Joo be his leading lady, I really like her in spring walts. Han Hyo Joo resembles Song Hye Kyo ( Lee Min Ho's ideal type) so I'm super curious! ♡

I love LMH in romantic comedy. Definitely, not drama like Heirs. Please, no more being a student!!! Something similar to Personal Taste is up my alley. As for the female costar, I am quite happy if it is PBY!

I think Kim So Eun would be a cute pairing! She has a Park Min Young vibe without the awkward history. If the main is as plucky and cute of a character as in ghostess I think Park Bo Young would be adorbs as well. And honestly I think Heirs wasn't that bad...just the story was horribly written. It's not Park Shin Hye's fault. I thought they had good chemistry in that given the bad plot lines

Well I hope this drama will be good, because this writer is hit or miss (I really liked My Love from the Stars, but I couldn't get past the first episode of The Producers). I also hope that this will finally be a good role for him, because he hasn't really impressed me before. I also hope they give him the hairstyle he has in this picture, instead of the silly bowl-like hairstyle they seem to like to give the male leads in romantic dramas. Lastly, I hope that the heroine will be a good character as well.

Not a fan of Lee Minho. I find his acting and his looks overrated. The only project I actually liked him in was City Hunter (because who doesn't like City Hunter?). BUT if they're able to get Han Hyo Joo as the female lead then I'd tune in! Orrrr... they could get Park Min Young because they had oozing chemistry in City Hunter but then we know that's pretty much unlikely now given their history. /sigh/

I dont know how 2 express myself in words. Im soO happyyyyy. Excited and jumped from sofa when I saw the news. I have been waiting long time for a comeback drama by Lee Min Ho. And what excites me MORE is the fact that he is gonna work with the director of City Hunter. Coz I So much Enjoyed watching City Hunter and I have watched it more than once. I think its the best project of Lee Min Ho among all his works.
Now I reallyyy want him 2 be paired with an actress who hasnt work with LMH b4. LIKE Han Hyo Joo. BUT I LOVE 2 see Lee Min Ho with Moon Chae Won or Park Bo young although he already worked with them
My last words: Im sO happy that its gonna be a romance comedy. Thanks God!!! And pleaseeee No more weak, poor female character with so many problems and a DEPRESSING and crying facial expressions..

Above all, I LOVE LOVE LOVE 2 see a Noona romance comedy between Lee Min Ho and Ha ji WOn. LMH isn't a baby face and although he is younger than HJW, they could be good togther. A badass, cool, strong and cheerful female character 4 HJW.

I know she already is acting in a drama but it is pre-produced and she will probably finish filming way before the start of this upcoming drama.
