More cat cuddles for Yoo Seung-ho

Turns out there’s no such thing as too many cute pictures of Yoo Seung-ho and cat. More stills, more teasers, and more cuddling are ahead for his new cable drama Imaginary Cat, about the healing relationship between cat and human. The short 8-episode drama, based on a webtoon of the same name, is about a webtoon artist who prefers his cat to other people. The cat will get a voice (played by Han Yeri), giving us a playful interpretation of the cat’s side of this quirky love story.
The teaser is just an explosion of cuteness. We get to see glimpses of Yoo Seung-ho’s daily life with his costar, Bok-gil the Cat, which mostly consists of grumpy snuggles. My favorite part is the shot of Yoo Seung-ho waving ever so lovingly, and then the reverse shot of Bok-gil looking out the window as he goes, like they can’t bear to be apart for the day.
The other teaser is a mock interview with Bok-gil, who gets asked about her costar Yoo Seung-ho: “He’s a charismatic actor, but won’t he be overshadowed by my character?” Asked if there were any hardships during the shoot, she answers, “There were no cats on the crew.”
And about the story, Bok-gil says, “The cohabitation story is a bit shocking, but I’m not too worried about controversy. I’m a pro.” The caption labels her a melo-expert cat, and calls the drama a “genuine passionate cat melodrama.” Ha, I’m pretty sure it’s not any of those things, but the cat sounds like a sassypants, which should be a lot of fun.
Imaginary Cat premieres November 24 on MBC Every1.

Then, there is the issue of when subbed versions will be available to us individually. It's going to be tricky.

After the first couple episodes, we should have an idea on various schedules and whether we will be inclined to rewatch. Sorry 🙇 but I prefer to approach every kdrama with a healthy dose of skepticism w.r.t. its quality.

I'm sure it's possible to watch together, but like Snickers said, I'm also a bit skeptical about how the story will turn out. So maybe we should try watching it first alone to see how it turns out, then join the watching together feast :D

Heheheh! You're all so serious about what I said about watching it together!
I'm fine however we can manage it. I was thinking not literally as in all watching at the exact same time, but that we are all commenting on it as and when we can be online on a common thread.
I'm anticipating that this show is going to be recapped, however if not, we can use an OT somewhere to talk about it.
An alternative... if @Snickers and @Bongsookie do not mind joining the Google Group, we can chat about the show there as well or instead of here on DB if there is no recap. :)
Let's see how it goes.

Totally agree with those who don't care about the plots and story. Who needs them when we can have these two gorgeous cute eye candies on our screen.
There is no way this drama could be a disaster on the making. Not unless they decide to kill that orange fur of love.

I so love Bokgil (YSH's grumpy cat) is getting a voice and that it's played by that actress I mostly remember as the North Korean physicist in Spy (2013) and from a KBS drama special titled Yeonu's Summer.

Yes! A live story about a cat! Finally! I've been reading the webtoon version on Spottoon! It's is pretty cute and funny. I wonder how exactly they will adapt it. It's called The House Cat on Spottoon though. Can't wait!! That grumpy-looking cat is so damn cute!!! Wanna squish its cheeks awww

I am a fangirl of Yoo Seung Ho but I wasn't until around june of this year. He was very sneaky enough to get to my heart somehow....You should watch it because he is really a good actor in Korea in my opinion..

I am so stoked about this. The moment I heard about it I was so delighted. Seung Ho will be playing a wecomic writer...I been wanting him to play a character that's a bit on the nerdy side and it's happening. I remember I was watching Hogu's love and while watching that show I was thingking to myself that Seung Ho should be in a show where he is a comicbook artist and its really happening so sometimes I wonder if I am a bit of a psychic.
I really love cats and I get to see a cute kitty interacting with Seung Ho. This is not a typical Korean drama and I like that. However, the only think I am worried about is the leading lady but I wont be thinking too much about that...
Now that I think about it this show kinda reminds me of this old 80s cartoon called Garfield.....even the cat is a tabby however the older poster had a grey cat, I guess that one didn't work out......Nontheless I am so excited....I am all prepared for this cuteness overload...!

I can't believe MBC - one of the top 3 big tv stations is airing this. It's so odd. This feels like it should be a cable network drama. What's up with the networks these days? 12 episodes Sassy Go Go. Multiple 2-episode dramas. Odd weird times. What's going on!!??
