      The last I heard, he mentioned that he wanted to do this drama and then he’d enlist. So I guess, yes, soon he’ll be going. May he return even more manly and ‘charismatic’ as they say. 😎 😃

I was clearing some of the notes I sometimes make when I watch a compelling show and wish to remember some points of interest. One of the scenes of Chicago Typewriter leapt out as so poignant …

    In the 19230s, Ryu Soo Yeon had said that the pen is stronger than a sword, therefore the typewriter is stronger than a gun and she teased Hwi Young that he should not write for fame but to write something magnificient.

    It was so apt that this was exactly what happened 80 years later. Se Ju had written for fame, but through the influence of Seol and Yoo Jin Oh, came to write not for the readers but for what mattered most to him… his friends, their history and best of all, to give his best friend a chance to live on and find his redemption. Now that’s some real magnificient writing, don’t you think?. 😀 👍 😨

      It’s the little wrap-ups like these that I like so much. They show that (although not perfect), the writing was thoughtful and that the resolution to satisfy was intentional. I respect a writer who respects his/her audience.

I enjoyed every bit of SP Ep 15/16, even the pathos of Eun Hyuk and the disappointment of Yoo Jung… unfortunate, but apt, under the circumstances, and so well acted.

SP Ep 15/16 – I took even more screenshots than these of the hilarious expressions in this show, and realised that 80% of them were of Chief Bang. Gotta to love that face!!!

      I do believe you are right. Someone once showed me the script of a drama and it is very sparse ie, the writer put down the dialogue with very few instructions. Most of it is up to the actor with some help from the director, I believe.

      I always pay attention when Chief Bang is around, just to watch his face. LOL.

        Mr. Bang is shipping JW – BH like us. Most of the time on screen, he’s either eyeing JW for doing sth foolish (eg: preparing to spray EH), or silently watching interactions between JW – BH… My favorite is when he sits on the stairs to guard for our OTP, and snarls like a real watch dog to block Chairman and EH. LOL.

      Yes… could have been Bluebird … the person watching Joon Hyuk go down memory lane. It was in the Part 2, 53:15 minutes into the show.

        Ok. That is what I thought. And if so, then that is Bluebird and it is a woman’s hand because they showed us Jung-yeon’s face and her dropping it at the very end. That ending!!!!!!!! I knew he was Bum-gyun!!!! Wahhhh!!!!

      I’m not sure, but I get the impression that there are fewer lovers of sci-fi than there are of other genres. At least I used to get that look from my friends when I told them I liked sci-fi. I thought I was in the minority or something. 😐 😉

        I’m not much fan of the genre either lol, but the first episode was SO good, it surpassed my expectations. Besides, it’s not like conventional sci-fi so that’s another reason too. Good news though that the last episode’s ratings peaked to 5% , so may be more people are getting hooked!

      I think the buzz is growing! Most people are so used to romcom, I think there’s a smaller built in audience. But they’ll learn soon enough!!

        Yeah I think so too! People are most definitely tuning in. Just maybe because the names aren’t big enough Luke signal so there’s that. But I’m so happy to have discovered this gem of a drama!! 😍😍😍

I\’m kinda sad that My Secret Romance sort of petered out. The expected happy ending took place, but was almost a non-event for all the feels it gave me 🙄 Would have been great at 10 eps 😀

      Yup. And for a love story, when the scene that got me in the feels was the meeting between Jin Wook and his mum instead of the OTP reunion, it’s not good.
