Oh My Ghostess: Episode 8
by girlfriday
I’m such a fool for this show right now. It’s just found that pitch-perfect groove of story, performances, and heart, and I’ve gone from finding it sweet and fun to falling for it completely. The key is really in the relationship between ghost and host, and today we see the potential for what began as an antagonistic relationship to very well become the most heartfelt bond of all.

EPISODE 8 RECAP
Once it sinks in that Bong-sun has just given her permission to possess her, Soon-ae bounds over to give Bong-sun a giant bear hug, squealing in delight. Bong-sun stands there stiffly with her fists clenched, while Soon-ae lifts her up and calls her pretty, and declares that they should be friendly now: “Call me unni!”
Soon-ae shows her Dad’s restaurant from across the street and says that it might not look like much now, but used to have lines of cab drivers out the door every day. She sighs that if she’d known she’d die so young, she would’ve done more, had a boyfriend, lived like everyone else.
Bong-sun asks why she died, but Soon-ae doesn’t know since she has no memory of her death. Soon-ae asks in turn why she suddenly changed her mind, and Bong-sun admits that she used to be satisfied just watching Chef from far away, but now she wants more.
Soon-ae encourages her to keep wanting more from life, and to stop holding everything in: “Live like a person, Na Bong-sun!” She says that they’re one body now, and eggs Bong-sun on to be more assertive.
Bong-sun mimics her “Fighting” cheer, and soon they’re shouting, “Fightiiiiiing!” at the top of their lungs and skipping side by side down the street. I love that they’re friends now.
In the morning, it’s definitely Soon-ae inside Bong-sun’s body, because the first thing she does is sidle up to Sun-woo and ask, “I read this in a magazine somewhere—is it true that a man is most… vital between ten and eleven in the morning?”
Hahahaha, she actually looks right at his crotch while asking the question. He hurriedly crosses his legs, which just makes her convinced that it IS true.
So-hyung is mortified to remember her impulsive drunken kiss with Sun-woo as she heads to work, and Sun-woo picks up his phone to call her, but hesitates.
The restaurant will be closed for the next two days, and kitchen staff excitedly discusses their vacation plans. Sous chef Min-soo seems at a loss for what to do, not that he lets on—he keeps asking what the others are doing, wanting to tag along. Soon-ae is happy to learn that they have vacation days, and when she pushes Min-soo out of the way, the boys decide she’s back to being weird.
Mom brings the medium unni some porridge (since she lied that she was sick), and Unni eats ravenously. Mom just wants her to hurry up and get better because she has no other friends to hang out with, and Unni starts to feel a pang of guilt at avoiding her on top of everything.
Mom notices that Unni isn’t looking her in the eye, and Unni asks casually if her son is okay, and hasn’t suddenly passed out or anything. She insists that she was just asking, but is relieved to hear that Sun-woo is fine.
Min-soo calls his buddy and erupts in a whiny tantrum when his friend says he can’t get the next two days off to hang out. The others listen warily and agree to avoid Min-soo before he invites himself along on one of their vacations, and it works… until Min-soo goes straight to Chef to suggest a staff retreat.
The others are horrified at the thought of spending their precious days off with their boss but can’t voice their dissent now, and agree through gritted teeth. Soon-ae chirps that she thinks it’s a great idea, and at that, Sun-woo says they’ll go.
Soon-ae watches intently as Sun-woo answers a call from So-hyung. She says she’ll head over to his neighborhood for a chat, and when Sun-woo heads out to meet her, Soon-ae trails after him thinking she’s being stealthy (I don’t know how—she’s practically stepping on his feet).
He calls her out from behind a potted plant and tells her to go home, and she swears that she wasn’t following him, but going to the neighborhood restaurant to see her ajusshi friend. He makes her walk ahead of him then, and she grumbles.
So-hyung looks nervous as she starts to mention last night, but Sun-woo jumps in to say that she must’ve had so much to drink that she can’t remember a thing. She looks partly relieved to be let off the hook but mostly disappointed, and the air between them is soooooo awkward, I can barely watch.
Soon-ae brings popsicles over to Dad and ignores little bro Kyung-mo’s complaints about the last time that she pretended not to know them. She makes sure that Dad is still exercising and says she can’t go for the next few days because of her retreat.
Kyung-mo suddenly reacts like a jealous boyfriend, worried that she’ll be spending nights away with a bunch of guys, and tells her not to bare too much skin or put on lipstick, and to call him every night so that he doesn’t worry. Soon-ae just looks at him like he’s got a screw loose.
Sun-woo calls his brother-in-law Sung-jae out for a drink, and sighs that he wished Eun-hee would join them on the retreat. He wanted to insist she come along, but she didn’t want to be a burden. Sun-woo remembers how much she used to love going on trips, and asks if it’s too late to hope for any progress on her hit-and-run case.
Sung-jae says too much time has passed for that, but assures Sun-woo that Eun-hee has him now, so it’s okay. Sun-woo is appeased by that, and Sung-jae lets his smile fade for a split-second when Sun-woo isn’t looking.
Soon-ae steps out of Bong-sun’s body that night so that she can update her on what’s going on, and Bong-sun is a little shocked at Soon-ae’s plan to seduce Chef at the retreat, but quickly starts throwing out ideas for how to get it done.
Bong-sun says he’ll have to get a separate room and she’ll go buy a new slip to wear, and Soon-ae stares at her in shock. They high-five, giddy with excitement.
The Sun staff arrives at the lakeside pension, where the owners greet them warmly. Their young daughter joins them and points over at Bong-sun and asks, “Why is there another unni inside that unni?” Ruh-roh. Soon-ae plays dumb, and the parents hurry the girl away.
They start to unload the cars, and Min-soo stacks so many boxes in Soon-ae’s arms that she can’t even see over the top of them. Joon takes them from her and complains that Min-soo is treating her badly.
Min-soo gets mad at Joon for daring to talk back, and asks if he’s Bong-sun’s boyfriend or something. Joon: “What, are boyfriends the only ones allowed to talk back? Fine, I’ll be her boyfriend then!” What? Aaah, why so cute?!
Soon-ae gasps and skips off after him, calling him “Boyfriend,” and playfully declaring that today is the first day of their relationship. Sun-woo pretends like it doesn’t affect him, but he suddenly looks so glum.
They grill out by the lake, and Sun-woo suggests a survival cooking game where the winner gets to put a dish on next month’s menu and gets two days off. They all make a mad dash for ingredients and start creating their dishes, and when Soon-ae gets praised for her knife skills, Sun-woo puffs up to hear her say she has a really great teacher.
Sun-woo announces that the finalists are Joon and Min-soo, and the others clearly favor Joon’s dish because they recognize that Min-soo’s is almost identical to something they serve at their restaurant.
They drumroll as they wait for Sun-woo’s verdict. The outcome seems obvious, except when Sun-woo sees Soon-ae chanting Joon’s name and cheering for him so affectionately, he calls out Min-soo’s name instead. Pffft, I love that he’s THAT petty.
Everyone except Min-soo is confused, and even Sun-woo knows he’s talking out of his ass when he explains why Min-soo’s dish was better.
The mood is lively after many rounds of drinks, and Sun-woo heads out to go buy more liquor when they run out. Soon-ae sneaks off to join him, and says she’s here to protect him from virgin ghosts. Sun-woo: “Who’s protecting whom? You’re the most dangerous thing here.”
He’s confused when she insists on taking a bicycle, and the ghost-seeing girl watches them from around the corner with a mischievous look in her eye. It’s doubly confusing when Soon-ae gets so frustrated at his slowness that she takes over, suddenly riding a bike like it’s no big deal. Him riding in the back makes for a funny visual too.
It’s dark by the time they’re heading back, and Soon-ae says that it used to be her dream to move to the country and open up a tiny restaurant. Sun-woo says she could still do that, but she says it’s too late, refusing to elaborate on why.
She notices that his shoelace is untied, so she stoops down to retie it using her special knot that never comes undone. He gets all quiet and awkward while she does it, and agrees that it won’t come undone easily.
She links her arm through his and declares their sneakers couple shoes now, and refuses to let go knowing that he has his hands occupied walking the bike. He tells her to stop crawling up on him, so she actually starts climbing him like a tree, which is when So-hyung suddenly calls out to them. What? Okay, you are officially a killjoy now.
So-hyung says she was in the area on a location scout and thought she’d drop by, and Soon-ae makes no effort to hide her distaste for her, muttering loudly that companies sure are lax on their employees these days.
The guys are happy to see So-hyung and welcome her eagerly, much to Soon-ae’s annoyance. It turns out that Drunk Joon is like the Cookie Monster but for liquor, and has to be put to bed before he embarrasses himself further.
Back in town, Eun-hee and Sung-jae get dressed up to meet her friends at a reunion dinner, and Mom tells them to have a good time. Medium Unni arrives to hang out with Mom and meets Sung-jae for the first time, and something about him makes her face pale. As they leave, she mutters to herself that she’s never seen a ki that strong before.
Eun-hee catches up with her friends, who all sigh that she was the one with the brightest future of all of them. They ask if she still hasn’t caught the hit-and-run culprit, and one of the girls says that whoever it is deserves to be ripped apart until they die.
Sung-jae says he’ll wait outside as if giving Eun-hee time alone with her friends, but heads out to the parking lot where he locates that girl’s car and keys it, looking completely placid as he does it.
Both Soon-ae and So-hyung get caught in a drinking game and offer up their shots to Sun-woo to drink for them, and instead of choosing, he downs both shots and calls it a night. Soon-ae makes sure that Sun-woo gets his own room, and interrupts So-hyung while she’s in the middle of asking if Sun-woo wants to go for a walk.
The girls have to share a room after all that, making for a very tense night. Soon-ae wonders passive-aggressively why So-hyung came all this way just to join in on someone else’s work retreat, and So-hyung counters that she can’t understand why Bong-sun lives in that storage room in the restaurant.
Soon-ae: “Why are you so interested in where I sleep?” So-hyung: “Why are you so bothered by my being here?” They lie down in a huff, then spend the bulk of the night making sure the other one doesn’t sneak out, and trying to stay awake and outlast the other.
The night wears on, and So-hyung finally falls asleep first, giving Soon-ae the chance to sneak into Sun-woo’s room. She goes straight for his bed and snuggles up in his arms, and though she startles him awake, it’s not like he makes a move to un-snuggle her or anything.
She makes the excuse that So-hyung snores so loudly that she can’t sleep in her room, and Sun-woo just stares at her for a while before asking if she’s taken her meds. He wrestles her free and drags her out of the room, and she flings them down on the couch so that he lands on top of her.
When he drags her up again, she asks loudly if he has some kind of prejudice against sex, and he clamps a hand over her mouth and wonders if he needs to take her to the hospital again.
They head outside when they hear the pension owners calling out for their daughter, who’s gone missing. The mother says that she’s not right in the head and worries that she’ll cause trouble again. Sun-woo and Soon-ae help search for her, and Soon-ae finds her in the woods, talking to someone (an invisible someone) about finding the kids. Well that’s creepy.
She takes off in a run and Soon-ae chases her all the way to a cold storage warehouse, where the little girl locks her inside because she’s a ghost. She skips off back to her parents, and then Sun-woo goes off in search of Bong-sun.
Soon-ae decides that they can’t just sit here and freeze, so she ejects herself from Bong-sun and tells her that she’ll figure something out. She passes through the wall and tries to focus all her energy on lifting the lock, but can’t manage it because it’s so heavy. But then she notices the firecracker and lighter that she dropped on the way in, and succeeds in picking up the lighter.
By now two hours have passed, and Sun-woo gets everyone else up to help look for Bong-sun. Min-soo complains about being dragged out in the middle of the night, and Sun-woo snaps at him that one of their family is missing.
He’s at his wit’s end, when suddenly the firecracker goes off in the distance. Sun-woo knows right away that it’s Bong-sun and takes off in a mad dash. He finds the lit firecracker but no one around, and Soon-ae dashes back into the warehouse to get back in Bong-sun’s body and call out for help.
He pries the door open and grabs her in a fierce hug, awash in relief. D’aw. She’s startled and says she’s okay, and the other boys all dash in behind him. Sun-woo suddenly barks at her, all of his worry coming out in one long angry rant: “Are you crazy?! Were you thinking at all? What are you doing in here? Why would you come in here? I told you not to be so careless! Why don’t you listen to me?!”
She starts to make excuses, but he tells her there’s no way she’s okay after being trapped in here for two hours, and takes off his sweater to put around her shoulders. Joon suggests getting her out of here and offers to piggyback her, but Sun-woo stoops down to put her on his back first, and carries her out.
He mutters that her body is too cold for her to be fine, and the rest of the guys trudge along behind them, wondering how that firecracker went off by itself and why Chef is so mad. Min-soo speculates that he must’ve been upset about the possible hospital bill, while Joon looks over at Sun-woo and Bong-sun with a knowing look. Poor Joonie.
So-hyung paces outside waiting for news, but when Sun-woo returns, he just walks right past her. They pack up and say their goodbyes in the morning, and the little girl waves goodbye to the unni-inside-the-unni, and Soon-ae tells her not to cause any more trouble. So-hyung asks Sun-woo for a ride to the broadcast station, and finally gets some time alone with him.
At the police station, Sung-jae’s colleague asks when his birthday is, because he might have a really great present for him. He announces that he found a top-notch technician to take another stab at fixing the broken CCTV from the time of Eun-hee’s hit-and-run, and Sung-jae looks taken aback. He stops the other cop from calling Sun-woo and says he’ll call directly, and the friend heads out to go pick up the hard drive. Uh-oh…
Sun-woo drops So-hyung off at work, and she finally asks if he isn’t curious why she came all the way to his retreat. She guesses that he is curious but just afraid to ask, because he already knows what she’s going to say. She asks if the reason he’s drawing a line between them has anything to do with Bong-sun, and when he hesitates to answer, she takes it back, regretting having asked.
Sung-jae’s cop friend picks up the repaired hard drive, and then finds that his car suddenly won’t start. He gets out to look under the hood, when someone attacks him from behind, knocking him unconscious (or dead?), and smashes the hard drive underfoot. Curiously, we never see the attacker’s face.
Soon-ae paces nervously, wondering if Sun-woo is taking so long to get back because So-hyung is up to no good. She’s relieved when he returns, though less excited when he wants to go right back to the kitchen for more cooking lessons.
She complies for a while, but when she starts to complain about not feeling well, Sun-woo is worried enough to stop their lesson. He tells her to clean up, and she brightens up immediately. She stops to ask him why he got so mad last night, and he tenses up to be asked so openly.
She asks again but he can’t say anything in response, and he finally blurts that he didn’t want her causing accidents at the pension too. He snaps at her to clean up and stop asking questions, looking rattled at his own feelings.
Soon-ae comes back with the hose but loses her grip on it when more water shoots out than she expected, and they both get doused before Sun-woo runs out to turn the water off. It’s not the most inventive trope, but now I see why Mom warned him to stay away from water.
He grabs towels and tells her to come closer so he can dry her off. With his arms around her and almost no space between them, the air shifts, and Soon-ae actually gets a little shy and backs away.
Sun-woo stares at her intently for a long moment before yanking on the towel around her back, and pulls her in for a kiss. Holy swoon, Batman.
He kisses her again and again, and then suddenly… Soon-ae takes a step back, out of Bong-sun’s body. Omo. Bong-sun’s eyes widen to find herself mid-kiss with Sun-woo, as Soon-ae backs away from them.
COMMENTS
I love everything about that last scene. Okay, the kiss is great, obviously, but it’s Soon-ae’s sudden decision to back off that gave me chills. For all of Soon-ae’s big talk about getting laid and jumping Chef’s bones, when it comes down to it, she’s still a virgin who has no real experience with love or relationships. She’s possessed other women and put guys in the hospital trying to get past second base, but no one’s ever kissed her that way before—sincerely, lovingly.
And obviously we could find out next week that something else drove her to eject herself from the situation, but I felt like Sun-woo’s sincerity moved her, to the point that she realized that this was Bong-sun’s moment, her relationship, her first real kiss with him. It’s what I hope anyway, because the other alternative is that she might be falling for him in return, which is definitely stickier. Maybe his sincerity rattled her, or maybe she felt wrong taking it from Bong-sun, but the fact that she removes herself willingly makes me think that she’s come a long way and actually might see Bong-sun as a person and a friend, and not just a convenient vessel.
Now that Bong-sun and Soon-ae are in cahoots and beginning to influence each other, it finally feels like the show is doing everything I wanted it to. The fact that the romance is hitting that first moment of realization at the same time is just gravy, because it proves how little Bong-sun actually needs Soon-ae to make Chef fall in love with her. He’s doing that just fine all by himself, but we gain an adorable friendship between the girls anyway. Soon-ae brings Bong-sun out of her shell and encourages her to be fearless, and Soon-ae is finally starting to look beyond herself and consider Bong-sun’s feelings.
I’m so delighted at the synergy between these two women, and how much they’ve already begun to adopt the other’s traits without realizing it. This was the kind of character growth I’ve been dying to see, and it was so worth the wait. Now it feels like Soon-ae is Bong-sun’s cheerleader and big sister, and I love that Bong-sun seems less alone in the world.
I like that Joon is asserting himself a little more, though I still feel like he’s underused in this drama. But now his one-sided feelings for Bong-sun seem pretty clear, at long last. The second leads in this drama sure do take their sweet time figuring out their feelings. It took long enough that there’s no hope for So-hyung or Joon to actually wedge their way between Sun-woo and Bong-sun now, but today they served a crucial purpose in making them jealous enough to do something about it, which you can’t help but appreciate.
Mostly it was Sun-woo’s worried outburst that made everything click for him, not that he was even in a whole lot of denial about his feelings to begin with. He went from chasing her away to worrying about her, to actively finding excuses to be together all the time. Once he was the one inventing reasons to have her stick to him like glue, he was already a goner, really. The question is, now that real feelings are involved, will Soon-ae find it difficult to just borrow Bong-sun’s body and do the deed? Maybe it won’t, but it seems like making Sun-woo want her has actually made the situation more complicated for all of them. Did love just put the brakes on sex? How ironic.

Just came here to squeeeeeeeee! Feels so good to be in love with a drama again. Adorable sisterly skipping at the beginning and a swoony towel-kiss at the end, with plenty of wonderful moments in the middle... makes me a very happy camper.
The ghost-seeing girl reminds me so much of a young Gong Hyo-jin-- they should do a drama or film together.

Omo!!! The last scene is Swooooooooooon worthy! I really wonder why Soon Ae eject herself from Bong Sun. I hope it is not because she also fell in love with him because it might make her relationship with Bong Sun a little complicated. I hope she stays as the Unnie who will guide Bong Sun all the way.
Oh and the scene where Chef was so worried about Bong Sun, I was a goner!

Ah, so many people still thinking Soon-Ae is the lead and has a future with Sun-Woo -laugh-.
Is this common in kdrama commentaries? Because so many people were totally convinced Ye-Jin and Seung-Chan were endgame in Producers, too. Or is this some sort of incarnation of second-lead syndrome?
It's clear that Sun-Woo is attracted to non-possessed Bong-Sun, not Soon-Ae (which he blatantly says in this episode). Yes, Soon-Ae caused Sun-Woo to start noticing Bong-Sun, but the mutual attraction is not between her and Sun-Woo. Aggressive Soon-Ae actually turns Sun-Woo off.

I was analysing their interactions (see comment #18) and I also noted that the Chef seems to be more attracted to the REAL Bongsun. With BS/SA he tends to run away every time she tries to flirt/hit-on him, but notice how when Bongsun starts acting like her (shy)-self again, that's when he'll advance/flirt/show-off with her. He only does this with Bongsun not BS/SA. Even though he sees both both girls as just one, there are obvious subtle hints that the writer made to show that he subconsciously likes real bongsun's attention more that BS/SA's.

Sun Woo obviously like the real bong sun. it's evident in episode 7.
i felt that he's been noticing her since before the possession. it's just that her old-timid self prevent him from knowing her

"Ah, so many people still thinking Soon-Ae is the lead and has a future with Sun-Woo -laugh-."
You're talking about two different things here. Whether or not Soon Ae and Chef have a future together has nothing to do with whether or not Soon Ae is the leading lady.
In the end, Soon Ae's soul could quite possibly go to heaven and Bong Sun could end up with Chef here in the living world. However, that ending would be Bong Sun and Chef's beginning.
And I don't think any of us would have a problem with that as long as it's told well.
But to keep saying Bong Sun is the lead when she's had 1, maybe 1.5 episodes, to Soon Ae's 6.5 to 7...I don't understand. We all thought this was going to be Bong Sun's story but it hasn't turned out that way. Instead it's a showcase for Park Bo Young's acting talent. I think that's pretty great and it's fun to roll with the surprises.
Now, if the writer(s) were to suddenly switch to Bong Sung as the lead halfway through the show THAT would be odd. And if the story went that route it would basically be Soon Ae making Chef fall in love then handing him off to Bong Sun. That's kind of icky. Not to mention a cruel thing to do to Chef. We all knew the sex thing wasn't actually going to happen because 'hullo, k-drama'. So let's take a closer look at what is actually happening on the screen. How many romantic comedy K-Dramas have you watched where the heroine has a fifth of the screen time to what the second lead has? How many k-dramas do you know of in which the second lead lady has all the romantic development with the hero?
Even if this is a Cyrano story, Roxanne eventually fell for Cyrano not Christian. Bong Sun, at this moment, as far as we can tell, is Christian.

It is Bong Sun's story. We've seen her grow from constantly apologizing to having the courage to stand up to get her man. Soon-Ae being her body shows us what Bong-Sun could achieve if she would just stand up and take control of her life. And slowly, we're seeing Bong-Sun do that, and it's awesome.
Soon-Ae, on the other hand, has been basically the same since the start. The ending scene implies she's developing somewhat, but before this episode, nothing of the sort happened.
Cyrano de Bergerac was also the first thing I thought as a possible rebuttal to this idea. This is no Cyrano de Bergerac, though. Unlike Roxanne whose attraction to Cyrano was because of his eloquence, Sun Woo isn't attracted to Soon-Ae's aggresive hijinks, he's turned off by them. The only thing he likes about Soon-Ae is her cooking and her mellow side, both of which Bong-Sun has the ability to surpass.

Actually like I've discussed before...it's Bongsun's AND SoonAe's story. Both girls are equally leads and are the samesame....hence same frequency etc.

As for who is the lead, the clue is in the title: Oh My Ghostess. This is Soon-Ae's story on how to move on. It's as simple as that.

First of all. That kiss. THAT KISS. THAT KISS OMG. It made me squeal so hard at 3 am when I watched it, I flailed around like a spaz. Usually I only get that way with Seo In Gook's kiss scenes (that boy can kiss) but man, THAT KISS.
This episode was epic fun. I LOVE that Soon Ae and Bong Sun are in cahoots, and then we see Bong Sun taking more risks with the planning of SW's downfall (get him his own room and buying slips) that spark inside her makes me laugh so much.
And joon, my lovely joon who took his damn time in making his move, maybe he didn't make a move before because BS was so mild-mannered. I can see a guy like Joon keeping himself in check because of it. Still, my heart hurts looking at them both. They would have been so cute. I'd love for these two to be in another drama. I swooned when Joon said, "I'll be her boyfriend then." and laughed at how cute BS/SA's reaction to it, the way she giggled and skipped calling him nam-chin. So cute.
When SA cheered for Joon and SW got jealous. And drunk Joon. OMG so funny.
The scene where SW got silent when SA tied his shoes was very telling, I mean tying other's people's shoes is a strangely intimate gesture, especially when you have to kneel to do so. I mean, if we are asked to do it for a stranger we'd consider it demeaning but when we do it voluntarily for someone that we know, it's a caring gesture. It's returns us to when our parents or older siblings does it for us and when SW got awkward and silent and looked weirdly touched, I remembered that his relationship with his mother seemed strained somehow, how she admitted that she was a bad mother. And considering how SW dotes on EH, it seems he took the role of parent to EH so he never had someone who took care of him. So that scene touched me so hard. And maybe that's also why he calls his employee's his 'family'.
Creepy cop is creepy.
AND THAT KISS, and when Soon Ae pulls back from Bong Sun. OMG THAT KISS. The way he looked at her and when he pulled the towel that he looped around her *flail*.
I wonder whether SW thinks that he's taking advantage of her though, since he thinks she has 'bipolar' and she's only flirty with him when she has an 'episode'. I'm glad that SW relates and has that date with BS though so we know that he likes BS and not solely SA.
When he found her in that refrigerated locker and yelled at her, we could tell he was so worried, he look like he was about to cry.
And when Joon stepped up to carry her but was cut off firmly by SW. And Joon had to watched SW carry BS. Awww.

This is a great point you've made. Chef was deprived of motherly care as a child and values caring for family. He has his idea of his employees being an extended family. He has also taken Bong Sun in and therefore has made her an even closer family member than the rest of the staff, deciding to train her and in the process, falling in love with her.

This part will probably put a pause in the relationship and make Chef extra careful. BS is his employee, she is subject to his authority and should not be taken advantage of, the place they are in is also their workplace and on top of that he thinks that she is mentally unwell.
I'd like to believe that the responsible part of him that we've seen so far, will remain intact and in control, even as he admits to how he feels for Bong Sun.

Great episode so fun. Now BS and SA are working together to seduce the SW(chef)lol. I think SA's was ejected out of BS's body involuntary. Something happened that was beyond her control, because doesn't SA have to be present in the body to lose her virginity???.

The expression on Soon Ae's face when she found she was out of Bong Sun's body was shock, and she looked down to check that she was really outside. Then her expression became disappointed. My guess is that she did not mean to be evicted but just was, and then decided to maintain a distance instead of trying to re-enter Bong Sun again.

And great point about SA ejecting herself out of BS because of SW's sincerity, so far, she's only been focusing on getting laid and she never thought about SW actually caring about BS, about him being genuine. She was focused mainly on sex and when she got real feelings instead, she must have felt the difference.

At the last scene, I think that Soon-ae was ejected out of Bong-sun's body by force, as she looked at Sun-woo kissing Bong-sun and then at herself like she did not expect it. And at the way she looked at Sun-woo, her eyes looked like it was filled with longing and sadness, wanting to be the one that Sun-woo's kissing instead.

Hi! I hope that there will be a more logical explanation on how Soon Ae is able to eject herself on Bong Sun's body on the following episodes.
Anyway, I also read your comments on other drama recaps and I find most of it very insightful and helpful. Somehow reading the comments of other beanies on a certain drama helped me to understand more about it and it is fun to read the theories and explanation they made. Thanks for this... it's actually an idea. The cold might have been a common factor in most of Soon Ae's ejections. It might not be the only factor, but possibly one. I don't know about the time the 2 girls were talking in BS's room though... how did SA separate from BS there?

i know right, that's just the only thing I'm left curious about too. I wish Shaman unni would explain how SoonAe is able to eject herself. Like others have stated, perhaps we're left to assume that she's only able to do this when the host agrees/gives consent for possession.

...but there was also a scene this episode where soon-ae and bong-sun were talking to each other face-to-face in bong-sun's storage bedroom. and there wasn't any temperature trigger shown for that scene either. i think we're just meant to assume that if the ghost gets permission to use the host's body, then they're able to eject themselves at will.

yep I was thinking of that too, since that's the only inference we come to. SoonAe can voluntarily eject now. However, based on that last scene, I felt like SoonAe involuntarily got ejected...that scene actually felt like a cliffhanger and we'll only know why next week. I think she got ejected based on the reason's above - that the host got sick (due to the cold exposure).

Looking at Soon Ae's reaction from the fridge scene when Sun woo found and hug her then the kiss scene where she is shy before the kiss. She is actually showing reactions which would have been similar to the real Boon Sun. (which is why they have the same frequency).
i feel that she is confused by the feeling (afterall she is a virgin ghost who never actually experience love despite all the sex talk). Thus she step of of BS body overwhelmed with the emotions she is feeling. ( Maybe feeling for chef or just emotional of how love feels).

Yes, I did wonder for a moment there whether it was Bong-sun or Soon-ae because normally you can instantly tell whether it's Bong-sun or Bong-sun possessed by Soon-ae.
I don't think Soon-ae has feelings for the chef though. She immediately flirts with Joon when he's nice to her, and has no qualms of doing so right in front of the chef (she walks by SW calling Joon "boyfriend") – which is pretty stupid if you think about it. I mean, she's trying to seduce one guy but happily flirts with another right in front of him. Which, ultimately, just confirms that SW is just a means to end for her.

"She goes straight for his bed and snuggles up in his arms, and though she startles him awake, it’s not like he makes a move to un-snuggle her or anything." Honestly, this was so adorable to me in this episode, so cute!!!!
As for the end, my biggest hope is that Soon-Ae felt that Bong-Sun deserved the moment, at least that's how I thought of it. But, we'll see in next week's episode. If it's because of her own feelings, it'd be even more tragic and sticky situation, as stated before.
The one thing I was truly waiting for came in these past two episodes, no, not a kiss, or even the grand "reveal" of our princely second lead, but the friendship between Soon-Ae and Bong-Sun! They're absolutely adorable together and I can't wait to see how they'll interact and develop as characters when trying to complete their individual goals. Thanks so much GF!
Well I'm certainly happier about this episode. Several outcomes I hoped for have come to pass.
- The girls are friends and helping each other... or at least Soon Ae is helping BS and herself and I'm guessing that now Bong Sun knows about Soon Ae's family, she will step up to help them later.
- SA can leave BS at will, and shows respect for her by doing so, and keeps her in the loop when she does.
- SA is coaching BS in self-assertiveness and BS is gaining confidence with her encouragement.
- Chef is able to let the feelings and physical attraction take over (when in the past he was all for being careful and as boss) and instead of hiding his feelings endlessly, he shows them... and he does it, not because and not when SA is throwing herself at him, but when she is just being natural.
- The real Bong Sun gets to experience the kiss.
- And the bugbear of lack of consent, deceit, forced physical contact with wrong personality and lack of consideration evaporates if Soon Ae willingly or inadvertently gets ejected whenever sincere emotions are expressed by Chef for Bong Sun.
So I'm a happy camper once again!!! :D

I like the girls being friends and talking to each other (and skipping arm in arm). I still don't like Soon-ae in Bong-sun's body – I find the way she acts then really quite annoying and stupid (every time she throws herself at Sun-woo he pushes her away the most). I also still can't follow Bong-sun's mindset of having gone from silent admirer (who I presume has never had any sexual relationship before) to "Yes, have sex with him so he can be mine". Or she misunderstanding the word "seduce"? Would love to know what exactly the girls agreed on (How long is she letting Soon-ae possess her body? Does this include de-possession on a daily basis so they can work out their plan/fill each other in on what happened?).
<And the bugbear of lack of consent, deceit, forced physical contact with wrong personality and lack of consideration evaporates if Soon Ae willingly or inadvertently gets ejected whenever sincere emotions are expressed by Chef for Bong Sun.
Yes, it draws a very nice, clear line also in terms of who the chef likes. The one he has feelings for and can therefore kiss (and more) is Bong-sun. I'm really glad the final scene was as it was and very much hope that the ejection was involuntary, because it'll mean that Soon-ae will have to completely reassess how to resolve her grudge, dig into what actually made her die and cooperate with Bong-sun in a different manner as body-possessing will have become pointless. Instead, we might see Soon-ae coaching Bong-sun with the relationship and getting help from Bong-sun finding out how she actually died. I'd be much more comfy with this kind of interaction between them, also because it could lead to sweet friendship (anticipating the female equivalent of bromance here).

I'm agreeing with what you're saying here. I too would much prefer that the possession does not take place, but since it does, then the next best thing is that (and this was another thing that I forgot to add that came to pass) more blocks come along the way to stop more from happening when Chef really gets interested in BS.
This happened in the person of So Hyung and in the ejection of SA (for whatever reason)
I too wonder why BS should equate having sex with Chef as a definite 'make-him-mine' deal. It could and has often enough worked to do the opposite, creating guilt, shame, embarrassment and not necessarily sweet romance.
I'm now re-watching it to catch all that I missed because I had to FFD like crazy in order to get other things done. I'll be back to read ya again and maybe comment on what else strikes me. :)

<I too wonder why BS should equate having sex with Chef as a definite ‘make-him-mine’ deal.
I think not just that – but being a shy person who seemingly has no experience in any relationships (including the physical part) I would expect her to feel much more inhibited about having sex for the first time (even if Soon-ae will be in her body).
The good news is I'm 100% that Soon-ae + Chef, not only because the aftermath of that would have way too many facets to deal with in the remaining episodes and because it's definitely not Soon-ae's ticket to heaven, but because of unwritten, iron-clad rules regarding OTPs and general purity still reigning high in K-drama.

Reading your comment, I really found myself agreeing!
The sudden and drastic change that Bong-sun went through from being an admirer to wanting to have something more can be relate-able if she didn't go right away and start drawing plans and schemes on how to seduce him (and answering your questions no she doesn't seem to misunderstand the word "seduce" with all the "I should buy new slips" and all).
I could more relate with her when she was first offered the deal and turned it down saying this is not how she wanted chef.
Anyhow, everyone seems to be so sure he's attracted to bong-sun rather than soon-ae, I honestly can not be sure about that. Considering that all the moments that swayed and started to make him attracted to her were Soon-Ae's, I can never say with certainty that Soon-Ae was driven out from Bong-sun because the one meant for by the kiss was Bong-sun, I'm sure we'll be getting a better explanation.
If they comes down to real emotional skin-ship drives away ghosts, I'll be more convinced :D

To be honest, I feel like the final endgame would be the real Bongsun because the drama established earlier on that Bongsun and Sunwoo are 'fated' (similar interests via blog, Sunwoo sees himself in her but is only frustrated by her timidness). Bongsun just needed that extra push to come out of her shell, and when she did show her true self (episode 7) he actually likes that side of her more.
...BUT seeing the progression Sunwoo has made with SoonAe also lead me to believe that Sunwoo will eventually end up loving both girls in the end. Since BS/SE mirror each other (same frequency and all) but just on extreme sides of the pole. That shadow-scene that we saw (as pointed out in comment #70) is nicely done to possibly suggest to viewers that the "two extreme sides of the pole" will eventually merge to become one (i.e. the real personality of Bongsun coming out of her shell - so far we've only seen hints of it). Sunwoo I think will find out the truth about SoonAe and will also love her for being 'a part' of Bongsun. What SoonAe will get out of this is being able to experience that it feels like to be loved in return (something she wanted but never got the chance to in her short life) and after finding out the cause of her death, then she'll be able to move on happily. I bet the drama will turn out to be heart-warming and bitter-sweet happy ending for SoonAe's story. From a girl who had a bright future and lost it all to being able to experience the things she wants in life and move on. Her family's been having a hard time coping since her death, so that scene where she dreams of having a restaurant in the countryside may turn out possible (for her father/brother) once Sunwoo knows her true story.
After this episode, I'm agreeing with JB's comment about starting to really love this show, because it's making me feel invested in the main characters (i.e BS, Sunwoo, SA, and SA's family). I'm hoping the plot won't disappoint me later on, but I'm willing to be invested in the show now and trust the writer since it has the potential to be one of those really heart-warming dramas that I love. :)

I just explode into happiness whenever SA & BS are together scheming, it's just so so cute and funny~ I love how through communicating with Soon Ae, Bong sun might have less fear of ghosts and try like SA suggested enjoy life more.
It's kinda ironic that it's Soon Ae who's a ghost is helping Bong Sun open up and be more happy to enjoy living. The dead is helping the living enjoy living. But I guess that's what makes this friendship so much sweeter, I hope Soon Ae gets to live through many experiences with Bong Sun. Kim Seulgi is really nailing the character.
I didn't consider that SA voluntarily ejected herself from BS, but that would be a sweet move. I felt she was forced out from BS's body, and it'd be sweeter if it was because the love/tension/sincerity from SW forced SA out. Though that begs to question how SA is meant to find her way to heaven if she can't lose her virginity to the man of vitality.
I was genuinely freaked out when the cop friend got hit in the face. Honestly I'm tired of the husband being shown to have done something bad, like the little tips and clues are getting a bit repetitive. We know Sung Jae does something bad whenever he doesn't like something. I hope we get clearer and more developed clues in the next episode because he's getting a bit one sided with the dangerous actions he does.
Thanks for the recap!

Thanks a lot for the recap.
I am thoroughly enjoying this drama, though I have a few gripes against the plot and the ghost-possession technicalities.
First, they said that since BS and SA's frequencies matched it was difficult for SA to detach herself from BS's body once inside, and I liked your explanation that when she left her body and jumped on the bus being followed by the shaman it was because she was touched by the magic stick.
But this episode we get 2 instances (before the retreat and in the refrigerator warehouse) where we're positive they normally managed to detach, and a third instance which I am not quite sure was intentional (the final scene). I really wish the explanation behind the sudden change is simply coz both are on and agreeing on possessing/being possessed. Does anyone else find this point a little off?
As for the last scene, the look of bewilderment and her constant gaze at her detached form and BS's back prove with no doubt that this time she didn't chose to leave BS's body on her own accord, rather there was something that drove her out, from BS's gaze we are sure it's got nothing to do with her, then the cause of the detachment is either within SA herself or SW. we know that talismans work in preventing a ghost from possessing and drives them out, so maybe it's the talisman underwear his mother's making him wear? (laugh)
One last point, are we really sure that Joon has a crush on BS? I personally am not sure about this point, he is super cute and caring when it comes to her to a suspicious degree but then don't forget that one time in the first episode when the mention of SW's sister's happy marriage made him tense. I was sure back then that the guy is suffering a long time crush for the lady, if they're trying to say he's attracted to BS now, then I think they just gave up this plot line for one reason or the other.

Yes... there is a plot hole or a plot question mark! LOL.
We have not been privy to the 'rules' of possession except the little that Shaman Unnie recited to SA.
I hope that they clear up the disappearance of the inability to voluntary leave a possessed body.
I too felt that the last separation of SA from BS was involuntary. She was shocked to be out. BS too was shocked to be in mid-kiss. Something else was at play... again we need to rules of possession to know what caused this eviction, and talisman underwear may well be more effective than we know!!! :D

The kiss scene was squee worthy but the ejection part was the best. It was unexpected and we arrived at theories on why did SA leave BS body. Another little thing I hold about the show is obviously the amount of familiarity about SW is much greater with SA than with BS, meaning to say that the sincere and deep moments between the two almost all were while she was possessed (example: knowing about his bully trauma & past grudge and cheering him to move forward, or discovering how petty and immature he can be when jealous like when he stole the sunbae's car keys...) I really hate to admit this, but although I am enjoying the show, I have to admit the trajectory of the story is simply this: BS's one-sided crush on SW, and SA and SW's mutual-attraction.
Anyone agree?

I agree with you..I want to see more of interaction between BS as herself and SW. At this point, I feel like BS's character's growth is still underdeveloped. Hopefully we'll see more of her real self in the later episodes, so that I can convince myself that it's the real BS whom the chef fell for.

Well, to be honest, they are not really using the guys in the kitchen much as characters. We've got a bit of a sense of Cordon and bit of a sense of the sous chef, but the other two don't stand out at all. All four a very flatly sketched (as is Eun-hee, the other person in the restaurant). Of course, they are like side-side characters so you can't expect them to play too much of a role, but there are really skilled drama writers that can have such minor characters and still make something of them.

Soon-Ae and Sun-Woo shipper.
The memorable moments experienced have been of this couple. Sun-Woo wouldn't have noticed Bong-Sun without Soon-Ae...though we are seeing that Bong-Sun has grown as a character.
Though Chef may not quite know how to handle Soon-Ae, he didn't reject her - he cares, laughs, teaches...all because of her.
I personally love Soon-Ae as a character - mischievous but she has a good heart. I do think the sincerity from the chef moves her. We have to understand that she has never fallen in love before. And I may be wrong but I feel that she may actually have fallen for him...hence the tinge of sadness when she was ejected.
Hope Chef will know that it is actually two different persons soon. Even if he does grow to love Bong-Sun (since it is impossible with the ghost), fingers crossed that he did love Soon-Ae.

this won't happen, for a number of reasons...one being that the actress is park bo young. she is unquestionably the lead heroine, and never has a drama (in my memory, anyway) given the main romance to the hero + second lead.
soon-ae's outgoing personality sparked his interest, certainly, but i think they'll place more emphasis on how similar his and bong-sun actually are and their blogs- they have similar souls. soon-ae being sexually forward is not seen as attractive to sun-woo- he's amused and flattered, but he rejects her advances. it's like the madonna-whore complex. which is kind of problematic if you think about it.
also, assuming that soon-ae is dead and not in a coma, her arc will be about discovering the truth behind her death, resolving her grudge, and moving on, after also having acted as cupid between bong-sun and chef. soon-ae and chef becoming the endgame would mean soon-ae taking over bong-sun's body forever, or soon-ae regaining consciousness in her real body and meeting chef. and neither seem plausible.
i do love soon-ae as a character though. i've no complaints really about her personality or the ethics of possessing....i mean, this drama is about a world in which ghosts who possess other humans exist, that was the premise! so i don't see her as selfish or morally deficient or anything like that. i really love how her and bong-sun are friends now, and hope they'll continue strengthening that friendship in this drama, instead of them becoming love rivals too. i like love rivals, but mostly when it's two guys who are competing for the heroine's love and not an needlessly evil second lead who embodies all the negative gender stereotypes.
but while i'm 100% sure that soon-ae + the chef will happen, but it was a bit confusing that he chose to kiss her while she was in her "manic" mode.

"but it was a bit confusing that he chose to kiss her while she was in her “manic” mode"
Lol I would say that he couldn't tell the difference because she didn't seem to be in her usual 'manic' mode at that time. In fact, she actually got a little shy before the kiss.
About SA and BS becoming love rival, I really hope the writer wouldn't think to go there. I love their sisterly bond the way it is now

About a totally different character and this has repeatedly passed through my mind.
Sous Chef Min Soo - I guess I have to say he is well acted as the worst possible ass of a colleague, because I cannot stand him!!! LOL. On the one hand, he is a pathetic character. He is so insecure that he has to continually, intrusively bug people to puff him up and pay him attention, and he hides his loneliness and insecurity with arrogance and bullying. In spite of this, Chef keeps him around. Partly it's because it's hard to get a good Sous Chef and partly maybe Sun Woo sees something of himself in Min Soo, and also treats him as family.
But *sigh* I really deplore that character. His immaturity, his putting on a good show and appearing to work only when Chef is around, his lack of care for others and trying to make Bong Sun carry so many things without helping her, his complaints and unwillingness to help search for her - he has made himself so unlikable that he had to wrangle an MT to have company during his vacation. But the extra pathetic part is that he seems unconscious of how the others feel about him. It's amazing when we consider how he gloated over his win in the contest and did not notice the shocked, disapproving silence of all the rest.
But how I loved the song lyrics that were all aimed at insulting him!! LOL. It was quite worth being slapped (poor Dong Chul, I think his name is) just to get to call him all those names with Min Soo stupidly unconscious that they really were meant for him.
A little about Joon ... I like how he has stuck to his principles and never pretended to like Min Soo. I'd like for him to get more of a break and more appreciation for being a nice, caring person and a good cook.
More info - I like this show very much, but I feel it could do with a little more back-story (and soon) for characters like Sung Jae, even Soon Ae, plus more info from Shaman or grandma about possession and how it works, about the gift of shamanism (qi energy) and the gift of sight that the girl Chae Hee demonstrated.

Haha totally on spot about Sous Chef, but I kinda like his annoying side. It's like without him the place might be a bit boring, he never fails to make me laugh. I love it when possessed Bong Sun just brushes him off, he's just like wtf she's having an epsiode isn't she.
I think at every work place, there is most likely a character like him, nosy and annoying that no one really likes. I enjoy watching Joon brush him off haha

Cordon guy was so cute in this episode WHYYYY.
I loved this episode so much!! I've enjoyed all the previous episodes, but at the end of each of them, I was always faintly disappointed, mostly because the ghost-possession stuff wasn't really what I wanted it to be. Until this episode. THAT ENDING THAT KISS SOON-AE'S EJECTION ERMAGAAWWDD. I was also kind of confused with whether it was intentional or not. At first I thought Soon-ae had intentionally ejected herself to let Bong-sun have the moment for herself, but then it seemed like she looked quite shocked that she wasn't in Bong-sun's body anymore??? Idk. Either way, THAT!!! KISS!!!
Also, I feel like I've grown a lot more attached to Soon-ae now when I used to find her annoying, and it's going to be heartbreaking if/when she needs to leave. :(

I'm with the idea that Soon Ae is ejected involuntarily. Still no clue as to the why. Can only wait impatiently till next episode.
As for her look of sadness, I believe it's not because she has fallen for chef, but because she realizes she cannot get to the man of vitality to resolve her so-called virgin grudge, even after/with Bong Sun's permission to use her body.

I feel that the writers should for more time for Bong Sun to shine. At least more character development? I feel like we keep emphatizing with Soon Ae and her family that we haven't got a chance to know about our heroine, Bong Sun.
I hope Bong Sun would be able to adopt some of Soon Ae's outgoing traits and be more appealing to Chef Kang.
Please, more CUTE MOMENTS BETWEEN BONG SUN AND CHEF!!!

I love this episode. Aside from the kiss of course. Everybody loves that. I really love how Chef looked at BongSun while they were lying down in bed. You can really see the affection Chef SunWoo feels towards BongSun.
Jo Jungsook and Park BoYoung are really good actors, they effectively gave life to Bong Sun and Sun Woo.

I agree with you! I love that bed scene & how he looked at her! He even held her hand when he led her out of the room!
The walk-the-bike scene where she was trying to climb up his body was also funny! I wonder what more she would do had SH not interrupted them...

Yesss it's like he isn't even shocked to see her so blatant with her desire anymore. He seems to be feeling a bit like he's treating a child with a sickness especially when he reinforces the idea of her being bipolar.

I've got a feeling that SoonAe's grudge maybe not because she died in virgin. I think her death is related with the police officer (Sun Woo's in law, SoonAe's one sided love).
If this is true, i think we dont have to worry SoonAe would steal BongSun's moments with SunWoo coz I think SoonAe will let BongSun enjoy the moment and only possessed BongSun to finished her grudge about her death.

Thank you i just love your recaps and comments they always a great read.
I really don't have a favourite episode because every episode is always better than the last. But this one really take the cake , the kiss alone was the icing on the cake i have been waiting for...but the friendship between Soon-ae and Bong Sun is what i desired from beginning, the two coming together and helping each others like sisters in arms. This turning into a real girl power show. The conversation between the two about vacation and Bong Sun dropping all these ideas was so funny and so welcome, she was bold and honest and funny and cute at the same time, something she doesn't show every regular. Oh Sun Woo getting jealous of Soon-ae natural cuteness towards another man was so funny and his worry about her disappear you felt his concern. But also i don't think Soon-ae eject herself cause she just as surprise to out Bong Sun's body as well to me, I thinking that the power and energy of moment between Sun Woo and Bong Sun was strong that she didn't have choice but was push out somehow. But let not forget the underlining mystery about the Brother-in-law who has turn from being sweet and considerate to maybe dangerous and deadly and cause Soon-ae to lose her life and his wife to be in an accident i feel everything is tie into each other i can't wait for it to be explain.

Amazing episode and with "I remember you" my favorite drama right now.
About creepy cop, don't know if he is possessed, but it's obious now, that he was involved in his wife's accident. Either there were already married and he tried to kill her, or he married her after wards. Is it possible, that Soon Ae was it witness, which is why he killed her? They made a point, that she lived nearby, she could have seen something.

Hot diggety!! Everything about this episode was great, right down to the last scene with that kiss. Soon ae got hit with the testosterone and suddenly couldn't handle it haha. For once he was being the dominant one and then blah her submissive side came out. She could only stand there and simply fall into that Oscar-worthy kiss.
Shout out to cock-block PD Lee!! Her showing up helped things along even better. Sun Woo finds out his true feelings for Bong sun when she goes missing.. So it's all good. The whole MT getaway wasn't a waste after all.
Great recap and insights about the whole episode!

Ivoire,
Totally agree with everything you said about the kiss! It's so great when writers demonstrate they KNOW their characters.
I also have to give props to JJS for his hugging skills. I was thinking the other day how I dislike in Kdramas when a guy unexpectedly hugs a girl and she just stands there like a mannequin. But the guy is often just as bad, usually having a totally stoic expression in what is supposed to be an emotionally charged moment. However, when SW hugged her in the storage shed, you could just see his relief/fear/frustration all over his face. Great acting by JJS.
As for my prediction, I'm not sure if SW would teach her enough of the basics and then she could go out on her own, or if she would work at Dad's place and SW would continue training her on the side. But the problem there is that most of the culinary talent that SW wants to develop comes from SA, not BS. So many questions!
Finally, and my apologies for asking a technical question here, but when I view this page (or any recap page) on my iPhone, I can only view the first page of comments. Does anyone else have this problem? My browser is Safari, if it matters.

Most of the time I always use my mobile to comment (hence why I get a lot of typos) but I never use mobile version to comment. It's better to use desktop version of DB while commenting on your mobile. I actually set desktop version for all websites I search on my mobile (and only switch back when a website does not work well with desktop version). But using DB on desktop version on mobile (I find) is so much better.

I just don't see the time passing by. CRAZY !
About the one attacking the policeman. Someone pointed out that it was weird how they didn't show the face and just the "shoes" so maybe and maybe, it may be the brother of Soon Ae because he did beg his father for new and trendy shoes, right ? I think that person was right which makes the whole thing creepier lol. I am guessing that the evil ghost possessed him or something like that ?

Still not sure if she willingly came out of Bong-sun's body to give that moment to Bong-sun or she was forced out. Soon-ae was looking at her body after she got out as if wondering why she's not inside Bong-sun anymore. Ugh, I need the next episode omg. Plus no previewwww why? Soon-ae's brother is so adorable. He would be mortified to know that's his sister.

The last scene (which is the kissing scene) melted my heart! Totes!! I can't believe THAT actually happened. Sun woo there was really staring into Bong sun's eyes and I guess he couldn't control himself anymore. Idk. I felt like he was confused because of Soo Hyung and all. But anyways, that scene was just perfect! I loved it. ❤️
The creepy thing that happened in that episode is Eun Hee's husband. I feel like a ghost possessed that cop's body and that ghost is the one who 'hit and run' Eun hee which led to her disability. Idk why he did that (if ever my hypothesis is right). Maybe out of guilt? But half of me says that it isn't because if guilt or something..
Anyway, to put an end to this loooong comment of mine, I just wanna say that I'm super excited for the next episodes!! One of my fave drama!! The chemistry between the lead characters were overflowing!! ❤️❤️
