Petty jealousy revs up on Producer’s morning commute

I thought they’d be playing up Cha Tae-hyun’s 1 Night 2 Days connection in the first teaser for KBS’s new showbiz drama Producer, but I like this light and fun conceptual teaser a lot — it doesn’t show any scenes from the drama to come, but we get a cute introduction to all four leads and a bit of cheeky flirting and partner-swapping, all on the way to work.
The morning bus is a fitting concept since Producer is basically a workplace drama; the workplace just happens to be KBS, and our characters are variety producers working behind the scenes for real shows on the network’s roster. Cha Tae-hyun is a veteran producer on 1 Night 2 Days, a nod to his real-life variety show, and Gong Hyo-jin is at the helm of Music Bank. Kim Soo-hyun is a rookie PD, and IU is a top starlet.
The show’s first teaser gives us a dizzying array of pairings, which I guess means we shouldn’t get too comfortable in the traditional love square. Cha Tae-hyun and Gong Hyo-jin have a sweet, breezy rapport… that is, until Kim Soo-hyun gets on the bus (looking like he’s fifteen and on his way to his first job interview, I might add) and IU struts in behind him.
Suddenly Cha Tae-hyun goes googly-eyed for the big star making Gong Hyo-jin fume jealously, and then she gets even by snuggling up with Kim Soo-hyun. As far as revenge plans go, I see no flaw in this logic. I have a feeling that we haven’t even cracked the surface of the petty jealousy to come, and considering that I like the pairings any which way they go, playing musical chairs with love interests might be pretty entertaining.
Producer airs on Fridays and Saturdays and premieres May 8.

I'm a definite fan of GHJ, and to me, she always looks good and at-ease in any of her roles, but...but...but there's nothing special about her hair!! Didn't she kinda have messy, tousled hair in Master's Sun, too?

This is a more stylish and less messy coif that GHJ seems to get for her roles (where she often plays mousy type characters).
Lover her facial expressions.
There was a poster (not to long ago) who stated that GHJ was "ugly", but while GHJ isn't a Kim Tae-hee or Shina Min-ah type beauty, she definitely isn't ugly and her talent and personality (lover her appearance on RM) makes her that much more attractive.

Loved this teaser and by the looks of it the chemistry btwn the cast is there and surprisingly I'm rooting for CTH and GHJ. I will say that IU looks a bit out of place but this just a teaser after all. You should add the new poster which is much better than the first one.

I didn't think iu was out of place. I think she is doing good job as emotionless Cindy but that pink shade is just no no. It's just that her given look is not working as topstar. They should have ddressed her in better way

Out of place as in it feels like she's playing dress up. Maybe the other 3 have more to work with but I feel their characters come across in this short teaser whereas IU doesn't seem to be exhibiting the cold diva attitude. But like you guys said, the styling kinda ruins it for her so I'm optimistic that if she's atleast dressed better it'll be fine.

If she's suppose to play a bratty stuck up celebrity - then I think it just fell a bit short for me. The body language wasn't there, I agree.
I guess it's just the teaser, we'll have to watch the show and really see. She isn't the worst idol-turned-actress out there and I think with some work she could be great.

I think she's one of the best idol-turned-actress so far (have never listened to her songs so I can't comment on her as an idol). Agree that it falls short in these teaser pics though - probably due to her dressing. It's the cheap-looking get-up and plastic frames, perhaps? She looks quite like a young diva starlet but definitely not top celebrity.

I think IU's look was styled as "starlet" and not top star. Maybe some miscommunication in the drama description and her role was meant to be a young up and comer (considering her age as well) and not an A-list celebrity diva.

I had to rewatch it several times at least just to I dunno, get a feel for some pairings I guess? Hahah I have a feeling everyone is gonna go crazy over this. At first I thought GHJ was interested in KHS but then I realised they were sitting together to get the other two jealous. Ahhh this is gonna be so epic, I'm so so excited!
IU doesn't have me convinced on her character yet, but I'm sure she'll get there. It's just hard seeing her be a cold character, when all she's ever played are the nice cheerful types. I hope she displays some good acting chops~
And isn't KSH just a cutie! I mean I loved him as the sexy alien in YFAS, but he's just so adorable here!

That teaser was just adorable. I'm in this weird phase where I actually don't care who pairs up with who. Although I admit I might be leaning very slightly towards KSH-GHJ. The chemistry all round is awesome though, even CTH-IU! I do hope the PDs do a good job because I'm assured in the writing and acting. Come on Show, be awesome, I'm counting on you!
P.s. Kim Soo-hyun's new hair + child-like innocence reminds me of Sam-dong. If that doesn't excite me, nothing else will!

Park Ji Eun, I love you so I have big faith that you are going to make the most amazing KDrama of 2015 so don't disappoint me, please of please :D
That said, the cast members look ridiculous good together. I don't mind any pairings because I can feel chemistry for all the ships ! It's a pretty cute teaser so I am hoping for the drama to be as cute with lots of hilarity and fluffly stuffs :)

As usual, Hyo Jin has chemistry in spades with both KSH and CTH. IU will be outacted by all 3. Must be intimating.
It's only 12 episodes??? For once, I want the drama to be longer.....I'm so hyped about this. I hope it doesn't disappoint. The cast is too good to be true.

They could have styled iu in better way. Seriously pink glasses. They didn't even make iu do anything except little bit interaction with cth. From teaser it doesn't look like 1:1:1:1 characterization part. 1st teaser doesn't even look original. Hope 2nd teaser is better

I am not at all jealous....I am simply giving an opinion. I am excited about this show and scared to death that GHJ will ruin it for me. I have a rather complicated yet very fulfilling career...expressing my opinion is therapy for me. Therefore is not a waste of time.

an advice for you : try to think positively about GHJ, she wont be loved and adored by many if she is no good.
and if you still dont like her, why not trying to comment about what you like and say something positive about it?
