Jung Kyung-ho and Kim So-yeon headline new JTBC melodrama

javabeans: Jung Kyung-ho and Kim So-yeon are heading a new JTBC drama about a man who gets a heart transplant and finds that his heart has “cellular memory syndrome” that recalls feelings of love. Does this sound familiar to you at all?
girlfriday: Wait, didn’t his girlfriend Sooyoung just do that drama?
javabeans: Maybe she found it so transformative that she had to share the experience with her boyfriend by making him live it himself.
girlfriday: Sometimes sharing is not caring.
javabeans: It’s titled Falling For Innocence, and it’s being scheduled for the post-Maids slot on Fridays and Saturdays on JTBC. I guess they’re committing to that weekend slot then.
girlfriday: So it’s a drama about a guy who gets a new heart, and the heart falls in love with Kim So-yeon, and therefore he loves her too? Why can’t a boy just meet a girl?
javabeans: You mean like real people? But that would be so prosaic. So ordinary. So…
girlfriday: Natural, realistic, and relatable? How horrible!
javabeans: I would have thought JTBC would come up with something more off the beaten path. I wonder if there’s a really important detail being left out, because what’s so interesting about a rich businessman with a cold heart falling in love with a warm-hearted secretary who changes his life?
girlfriday: Yes, I hope there’s a twist. Jung Kyung-ho did do Heartless City with JTBC, so maybe he knows something we don’t. Maybe he’s an undercover businessman pretending to be an asshole.
javabeans: That would be more exciting. Now I want her to be a North Korean spy who’s just posing as an ordinary secretary.
girlfriday: Agh, I miss Kim So-yeon as a badass spy. I like her in all sorts of roles, but nothing beats her IRIS character. It’s really not the most inventive premise, but there might be enough in Jung Kyung-ho and Kim So-yeon alone. Though mostly I just want to put their IRIS and Heartless City characters in a room and see what happens.
javabeans: But no killing or dying! Maybe take away their guns first.
girlfriday: Well according to this drama, they hash out some business contracts and fall in love in the process. Exciting stuff. Don’tcha kinda want some dying and/or killing?
javabeans: Then we’d really have My Heartless Days, literally. *rimshot*

the story line sounds okay. just okay. but i really love Jung Kyung Ho in Heartless City and Kim So Yeon in Iris.
both are great actors. maybe this drama will turn out good.

I LOVE THESE TWO!!!!
But that premise....
Still, I'll definitely watch it for these two. I do generally love JTBC dramas too. Hopefully the writer can approach this premise in a fresh way (I don't know how tbh, but I'll hope for the best).

Kim So Yeon !! I tried to finish INR3 but bailed, it became a bore quite quickly. I hope there is more to this story though, the actors have me interested so I'll be keeping my eyes out for this.

Really? Come on, Writers. And come on Baksa. Choose something badass with badassery not some samesame heart BS that we have seen RECENTLY.
I will end up watching this, so I hope you are right and he knows something we don't and at one point he takes out his OWN heart to hand to someone else or something.

errr, i have learned that (over yearss of watching kdramas) reading plots can be hugely misleading. like by farrrr off of what i had thought and expected from just reading a 4/5 sentence of summary.
something that seems good in a theory may turns to result in majorrr disappointment (i am sure lots of ppl have experienced this) and there are dramas that sound tacky and 'been done a million times' can be really fun and enjoyable!
so i am for sure giving it a try! well i always gives a drama a try, at least an episode. and usually up to 4 if i am still unsure. plus i am sure that the writers have something up their sleeves cause, they are not THAT uncreative to draw up smthng similar with other dramas that have been done.

I can`t wait to see Kim So Yeon in another drama. I love both actors but I am not excited about the premise. Hoping and praying for a good drama. I will watch no matter what but please, show, don`t waste them in a bad melodrama.

This is one of those instances where the premise does not interest me in the least BUT you just put Jung Kyung Ho, Kim So Yeon and jTBC in the same sentence. They could be sitting around reading the phonebook and I'm watching. I believe that no matter how banal this is, they will find a way to elevate it.

I would like them to do a drama where the man receiving the heart gets it from a gay man ... but not just any gay man ... but a cross dressing serial murderer.

LOL. That WOULD be interesting. I'd skip the former-owner-was-a-cross-dressing-serial-murderer and just have the heart donor be a really really hot gay man who loved another really really really hot straight man. Oh, but then he wouldn't end up falling for Kim So Yeon. Instead, imagine if she fell for him, while HIS crush fell for her..

Danggit. You put Baksa and JTBC in the same sentence and I get excited (and to a slightly lesser degree, Kim So-yeon who I've only seen recently. Her I liked, INR3 I did not) and then...sigh. But its JTBC so maybe they'll do for heart transplants what they did for infidelity? But yea I'd watch My Heartless Days. haha rimshot

OMG, when I saw the headline I expected to be a lot happier about this then I turned out to be. Why waste such a great pairing (seriously, 2 actors I've been missing!) on this premise? BUT, who knows, it doesn't sound that horrible and the execution + actors could save it.
Still, the one thing worse than not seeing actors you like getting cast, is seeing them finally get cast...in something you don't even want to watch that much.
But, it's on Jtbc so I'll be optimistic. I did enjoy My Spring Days (that had Kam Woo-sung though...). Perhaps the pairing will make it worth it?

But... his heart is actually from NK general who never falls in love until he meets NK spy undercover poses as his secretary, Kim So Yeon and falls in love in the process. Now they will try to protect each other from SK government chasing after them while NK gov also try to contact them. Then he realizes the transplant is not really successful and his days are numbered. Now will he be able to survive from the political machinations and the terminal illness while maintaining his underground business?
Cue Dr.Stranger/My Spring Days/Heartless City mash-up :p

I adore Kim So-yeon greatly. AND I LOVE MY SPRING DAYS!! And Jung Kyung-ho! What an amazing connection, lol! I'm looking forward towards Sooyoung's reaction, tho. Excited for this.

Oh its the same premise but I hope they did something different with it. Like he gets heart transplant, gets attracted to second lead totally forgets his pepper potts, but then he realizes weather earlier heart or this one he always loved his secretary. When she gives him a two weeks notice ;)

I am most excited. I love Jung Kyung Ho since Time of Dog and Wolf. I haven't seen hil in a while though. I also like Kim So Yeon. And I lust day she always does have fine chemistry with her leading men (Prosecutor Princess, Dr. Champ, I Need Romance)
These two actors are good at tugging tearful emotions (JKH, Time of Dog and Wolf) and (Kim So Yeon, Iris)
