Honey Lee is Modern Farmer’s sassy village leader
by awcoconuts
Gorgeous actress and former Miss Korea Honey Lee (Shark, Pasta) has joined the fall weekend miniseries Modern Farmer, which will star Lee Hong-ki (Hundred Year Bride) and Park Min-woo (Flower Boy Ramyun Shop) as members of a rock band. When the group takes a break from music and sets up residence in a remote farming village, they’ll cross paths with Honey Lee, who’s been cast as the community’s first female, and youngest ever, leader. (Is anyone else imagining the two co-leads fist-pumping about the hot noona being cast?)
Honey Lee’s character is also Lee Hong-ki’s first love, but it’s unclear from the news whether the reunion is a dramaland coincidence or by band leader Lee Hong-ki’s design. She’s a vivacious and cheerful type who sets the mood for those around her, but is also a tough cookie who gallantly leads her village.
The actress said, “It’s been a long time, and I’m happy to return [to television] with an exciting project. I’m a little nervous to be in front of viewers again alongside my great fellow actors and the skilled staff, and I’m also worried about starting filming in the intense heat, but I will do my best with positive energy and a grateful heart. I’ll try hard to put on a good performance; please cheer me on.”
Modern Farmer will run for twenty episodes and will air on weekends after Feel-Good Day on KBS in October.

I don't really like her character in Shark but I like her in varshow 4Sons 1Daughter. I'm sure she can play as villager convincingly. She's likable as well...
The drama seems go well with the casting so far... But I though it's on SBS, not KBS?

I'm really excited for this. Lee Hong-ki is already reason enough to tune in but I really dig the farmer-rockstar premise. Lots of music-centric dramas coming up along with Trot lovers already airing. Hope they're all good; I haven't seen any I've enjoyed as much since You're Beautiful.

Please oh please, let the music part of the drama include a duet like the one she did with Epik High at the 2007 Golden Disk Awards. That was a great piece of music.

True right. But I looked if I could find a better quality print and couldn't find it. She should have released it, it was amazing. I guess she's crazy talented there

Wah!!!! Minamishineyo! I'm already looking forward to this for my two favourite side characters Jeremy and Crazy Chicken Ba-wool. And the two pretty boys get to fight over the pretty girl, why don't things like this happen to me?

Aww, I hope she does well.
Sounds like a good role for her to be honest, lol. I hope she gets to show some humor. Her characters are usually pretty serious.

I've only seen her in Pasta, and her role in that was kinda serious, but she's certainly gorgeous, and I'm looking forward to her comedic skills alongside the boys.
Lots of potential there!

i am all for honey lee being in the drama....she is definitely a hot noona and a much better actress than AOAmina...hopefully honey lee is the lead...which is what new articles seem to indicate...it is confusing on who's the lead, but in my humble opinion it should go to the actress, not the idol
