OMG they were so cute in KSS! In that show, it was DH who was being adorkable and chasing her, so I thought DH was the better actor.

But now... JRW's recent projects have made me fall in love with her so so much. :))))))) So happy when actors/actresses get better.

And what is this? Even second leads are reuniting on projects now!

A few months ago, I was driving around my city and drove past this giant casino billboard, then did a double take because it featured Daniel Henney in a suit looking suave and smug and surrounded by beautiful models. I then proceeded to laugh my butt off.

Acting-wise... I dunno. But he is ridiculously good looking.

At least we won't hear any bad english from the two main leads :)

Yes! I miss JRW, I do prefer if this was a drama though but I'll take a movie just to see her onscreen again.

Another reunion? At this rate almost all the upcoming dramas and films would a reunion of some sort. There are so many I want, and up till now, I haven't gotten even one. /sigh

The plot seems rom-com enough to make me interested. Although I'm not a fan of DH.

I'd rather have the first leads be the ones reuniting but I'll take it.

I rewatched my name is kim Sam sun and I skipped over every scene Daniel and her had. All scene he was in. Sorry, but IMHO he acts as if he was one of those tourist korean directors like to put in their shows when they are looking for some warm body who speaks English.

I think his acting has improved a lot. There is a big difference between his performance in KSS and Shanghai Calling. I prefer him in movies more than dramas.

Daniel Henney is an absolute prince looking man! And when almost everyone here doesnt seem to be a fan of his acting, well I happened to think the same judging based on his performance in Spring waltz but GLADLY I saw aw him in that heartbreaking and tearful movie (titled Father? not sure though) He did a very good job inviting the water out of my eyes, though the story was more one big reason the movie worth the praise, but still!

Ooooooh seems like every old on-screen couples are reunited but WHY couldn't the joy happen to my most fave couple? The lovely Kim So Eun and Kim Beom? I truly missed them sparking their fantastic chemistry on my screen!
well, can't wait to watch this!

This definitely is the year for old-school drama couple reunions!

I liked both Daniel Henney (sooo pretty!!) and Jung Ryeo-won together in My Name is Kim Sam-soon, and they were both very green actors then.

I have to agree with JB though -- JRW definitely far > DH in terms of acting skills now...although I was impressed at the improvement DH showed in his roles on Hawaii Five-0 and NCIS:LA (guess to counteract the pretty, he's been playing villains as of late).

I used to think Daniel is bad at acting too but he did such a good job in Hawaii Five-O Season 3. Despite me hating his character i thought he did well in acting. And he was really good in 'My Father' and 'Shanghai Calling' so i thought he is far better in movies since i like his acting in them.

Anyway i like this couple and i thought they have good chemistry in MNIKSS before.

Excited for this! Daniel Henney isn't always the best actor, but I think he's improving steadily with each project, so he has potential. And Jung Ryeo-Won is just great, so hopefully she can get him to up his game. I was just saying how I wanted to see a drama with people in my general age group - looks like this may be it.

And gosh - they look like such babies in that still! How time flies.

I hated their storyline in MNIKSS – hated hated hated it. I have struggled to watch Jung Ryeo-Won's other stuff because of that although that's not quite fair, since she's a good actress (maybe one day I'll get over it).

Daniel Henney, meanwhile, can't act to save his life (Mr. Perfect was terrible).

Watched one of the director's other films, which didn't work for me either.

Thus, giving this one a pass.

There is something in the water I guess cause everyone is doing reunions. Not that I mind... Can they do a Hyun Bin/Ha Ji Won reunion? Loved them together. Or maybe Hyun Bin/Kim Sun Ah? ... I miss Binnie :(

Daniel Henney is pretty but the guy can't act. Does he speak Korean. I saw him in a Korean movie and he spoke English the entire time. He was also in a C-movie with Fan Bing Bing and he spoke English while everybody spoke mandarin.

i have nothing new to add b/c everyone above ^^ already beat me to the punch in expressing excitement, etc.

but i couldn't help but joining the fangirl crush & swooning over the ridiculous amounts of pretty that is daniel henney.

I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking he has the looks but not the acting talent. I haven't seen him in much. The last thing I saw was spring waltz a few months ago and that was a little hard to watch. I dunno what it is about his acting but it came off weird.

Loving this new reunion thing happening though. I dunno who I'd want to see again, but I'm excited to see more pairings!

I guess his acting career isn't going that well in the States.

I've been thoroughly unimpressed with every role of his I've seen; though he has the looks, he doesn't have the talent or charisma to graduate to significant leading roles. If he's still in the acting game in a few years time, I can only picture him playing some blandly beautiful teenager's blandly beautiful dad on a CW show (unless this new role leads to a resurgence of interest for him in Korea).

Story sounds familiar... as though YTer Michelle Phan's current romance being retold. LOL!
