Full Sun’s lush, emotionally wrought first teaser

How gorgeous is this new trailer for Full Sun? The upcoming KBS drama looks like a pretty intense melodrama, propelled by angst-ridden performances by Yoon Kye-sang and Han Ji-hye — he’s the man who accidentally kills her fiancé, then falls in love with her.
Yoon’s character is primed to live out that tragic anti-hero-into-hero dramatic arc, as the son of a con man who has dreams of a more honest life for himself. But he’s dragged into a darker life after his father is killed in Thailand in a diamond-related incident (Yoon Kye-sang is connected to jewel smugglers, Han Ji-hye is a jewel heiress) and kills the aforementioned man, for which he appears to spend time in prison, going off the preview clip.
In the teaser, he voices over, “I wanted to be anybody, just as long as it wasn’t myself. No — if only I could live as myself again. I’ll do anything.” Then as he addresses Han Ji-hye, he asks, “Did I… was I, to you… such a bad person? Was I so bad?!”
I’ll admit the story is fairly expected hard-melo stuff, but the execution could really make this one to watch. I’m a fan of both actors (tortured Yoon Kye-sang! Those eyes!), and if they have serious emotional rapport, I could see myself sucked into their whirl of passion, pathos, and pain. Oh the glorious paiiiiiin. (What would dramaland be without it?)
Full Sun will be a Monday-Tuesday miniseries premiering on February 10.

This drama seems a little too melo and depressing. I'm still trying to decide whether to watch it, I love Yoon Kye Sang but can't stand Han Ji Hye's emotionless acting. Angst-ridden isn't a word I'd use to describe her acting in anything.

Haven't seen any melodrama since Nice Guy....so I might give this one a try....and I like both actors...he was sooooo cute in Best Love and she was really sweet in Sweet 18 :-)

I felt like there should be a big outdoor evening party with lots of wine and lots of pasta and fruit involving dancing and flirty eyes and then cut to a scene-a drunken histrionic Italian grandpa bursts in carrying a violin and interrupts the hand-kissing to say the vineyard is on fire and they can't find little Giuseppe or his pet goat.

Omg after watching the trailer I'm hooked lol. Always been a fan of Han Ji Hye (despite her past 2 weekend dramas being worse than shit shows. Sigh was even disppointed in her character in East of Eden). So glad she's come back to her senses and is finally acting in something that looks worthwhile! Just praying that her character is amazeballs even though its a melo lol. Love Yoon Kye Sang as weel of course ;)

Will watch. I dunno if the beauty of this trailer will go into every episode of the drama but here is to hoping!!!!!

When the original premise came out, my initial reaction was "Oh, YKS is remaking his old drama Crazy For You* ( http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Crazy_for_You)? Why?" But now I see that they are in fact totally different plots. And tortured!YKS is just SO GOOD, so I'm all for this.
*This drama was my introduction to both YKS and Lee Miyeon (the one in Noonas Over Flowers). It was terrible and I watched every minute of it.

Could this be the SECRET of 2014 for me? God how I loved that drama, so pissed they rushed the last episode.

You might be onto something! The song used in the drama's teaser is the same as the soundtrack for the Alain Delon film 'Plein Soleil' (there was also an American remake, with Matt Damon, Jude Law, and Gwenyth Paltrow, called 'The Talented Mr. Ripley').

This drama reminds of Crazy for Love which YKS was in. Falling in love with a woman whose fiance he accidently kills, for which he gets jail time. I hope this drama is as good as that one.

Didn't he star in another drama where he killed the girl's fiancé with his car be ause he fell asleep behind the wheel. Then he did time in jail for that and when he was released he went to work as an aircraft mechanic and the girl also worked there and then they fell in love? Do you remember the name of that drama?
