Really don't like LJW's hair style or outfit (tunic over jeans?). How do they manage to make such a good-looking guy so unattractive?

I can't take my eyes off the fashion fails for me to actually appreciate the posters. Although if I only look at the faces, I like IU's look, even if she seems childlike in front of JGS.

I'm sure this will get a huge boost because its replacing Secret - which is the highest rated in the time slot. But since this is everything Secret is not, I wonder if it would help them at all... I'll check out the first episode; here's to hoping I see JGS's character rather than JGS himself. Sometimes I think both are too similar to one another for me to distinguish.

He is not pretty! What is up with the casting? He looks like a girl with pointy chin and thin upper lip.

Can I just say, there is nothing plain about IU and the fact that this show is trying to tell me otherwise just makes me want to shout 'what hope do the rest of us have?' Sigh.

On paper, this just looks like n number of cliched dramas with pretty people, love triangles, the nice guy that my heart breaks for, and the "bad boy" with "heart", and the plucky sad heroine who nothing ever goes right for...

...Usually, as shallow as I am, I'd eat this sort of thing up but tVN's great plotlines, and the rising quality of dramas (daily dramas and trendies) have ruined me. Keeping my ear out to see the reaction to this drama nevertheless.

Question: anyone else feel like there's a lot of dramas out this season?

IU looks adorable. Lee Jang Woo and JGS both have terrible hair that makes them look too feminine and idg Lee Jang Woo's styling here AT ALL. Is he supposed to be a dandy too? When they first cast her, I didn't think IU's character would be so major but it seems like she's got a pretty big role. This show honestly makes no sense to me but all the latest romcoms have failed to hook me so here's hoping this one ends up being unexpectedly good.

Um... What in the world is Lee Jangwoo wearing?

It's like the story of Dangerous Liaisons. A guy who uses his looks to gain fame, wealth, and power. It is similar in that the woman wants him to accomplish something first. She probably has an ulterior motive. And he probably learns about true love through IU's character. If they play this story right, I think it would be really awesome. It's nice to see JGS take on a role that is essentially a villain at first. He has had some dramas that were meh, but like java beans said "when he is on he is on".

I might add he cut his hair short yesterday so the poster that they have doesn't show his short hairstyle. He looks more manly, about damn time!

What is with the terrible styling in K-dramas?

the premise of this drama sounds like a modern remake of Maupassant's Bel ami plus Dangerous- Liaisons -style romance.

It's funny how people comeup running sayin "IU is soo pretty how can they call her average " and stuff like that.... it's try hard to prove that she is not average but some super natural beauty. To begin with she is average looking for me her looks are below avg. It doesn't makes sense wen people call HCY (here) for instance as Plain. Some may find her really pretty n some don't but with the same slogan wen ever a article states her as plain are laughable.So it goes well with IU. JGS character seems to have a negative shade am looking fwd to his acting.

Yep. already preparing myself for second lead love because i generally prefer Lee Jang-woo over Jang Geun-seok.

Seriously people how many of you are going to watch it on TV and contribute to ratings? I am curious to know because people are solo concerned about the plot as if they are sacrificing their everything to this drama. Pcccchhhh it's tiresome people judging it on basic outline , watch it or don't as simple as that why to make heavy statements , it's not like u are paying them. Let them do their work and face the result themselves.

To all people who think JGS is overrated , well it's your personal opinion so be it. He is definitely not overrated he has Talent, He is good at what he does and tries to improvise and sharpen his acting and singing skills. He deserves all the Rating he's been given considering his Career as a actor since he was 6-7 years old. To be frank he was recognized much later than many of the actors of his gen who are not even great actors in comparison. Poor thing he was not well known when he was more versatile with his work before YAB. And now people say he is overrated jus because he is now listed as a A list Actor. Strange.

Sorry...but, uh...Jang Geun Suk is neither pretty or handsome. I never saw why ppl are so crazy about him. Acting...good. Looks...I don't think so. I probably won't bother with this drama...the plot just does not sound interesting enough. :/

IU and JGS look good. I heard this plot has a complex story line. Hopefully it is a good adaptation and good direction.

People now start to compare IU and Yoona, which Idol actress will get the highest and best rating for their Mon-Tue & Wed-Thurs dramas.

On paper, Yoona drama is better with LBS and YSY in it but acting wise, I prefer IU eventhough she's new compared to Yoona.

Speaking of idol actress, anyone watch Dasom of SISTAR in KBS daily drama, Love Rides the Melody? Yeah, it's a daily drama with a makjang twist but I love Dasom acting. She's fun to watch, good acting.

I'm sure at the KBS drama awards, IU and Dasom will be competing in the same category of New Actress award.

Jang Geun Suk is the only reason why I'd be watching this. Atleast he is not hopeless in the acting department while rest of the all 3 leads are .

thank you for the answer. Well now I know where it came from. I do wish the best for him and yes he deserves to be known and loved for his works n as a person particularly in SK. He only needs recognition from his country as it is what he's looking for like forever.

Omo! Why are some commentators here very sensitive about tagline "Prettiest Man in the world" the official character description of Dokgo Mate by KBS doesn't stare the same as in the Manga.
And please learn to differentiate between Dokgo mate and JGS. Why is JGS getting all the mockery wen its his character which is actually described as Prettiest man in the world.
Any beautiful actors/actresses around the world cannot be known as Beautiful universally there will be people who'd differ with opinions. Constantly throwing harsh words on JGS looks will neither stop him from being casted into dramas neither this drama will stop halfway prior It's release searching for a Real Prettiest man in the world. Check for yourselves each one of u may have different biases whom you'd probably consider prettiest of all but that doesn't make him/her for real.

Not a Great fan of JGS but the guy is impressive with his Acting. Watched most of his Dramas/Movies so I'd be checking this out too.
HCY is Pretty but her acting is meh.
LJW I've watched only one drama with him and he is passable.
IU ummm don't really like her.

I hope this drama surprises me with that storyline as on paper. I wish JGS gets back to his YAB days of glory. His sacrifice of hair hopefully turn things lucky for him hehehe.

Pretty Man vs. Heirs vs. Medical Top Team? Not much to look forward on Wednesdays and Thursdays. I am already watching Heirs (is like driving by a car crash, you cant stop yourself from looking), so that's is enough self-torture at the moment. And I'm not up for another Medical drama right now.
