Upcoming political rom-com All About My Romance has finally released its posters, and uh… the result is a little underwhelming. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen fanart pop up two hours after a drama casting announcement (*cough Lee Min-ho cough*) that look better than these, but I think the white ones are likely pre-photoshop, which then makes me wonder, why release unfinished work? Anyway, the video for the poster shoot itself is ADORABLE, which bodes better for the show. Or maybe Shin Ha-kyun is just adorable, even in all his suave ajusshi glory.

Shin Ha-kyun and Lee Min-jung star as political rivals who end up falling in love and carrying on a secret relationship, which is pretty much the only option when you’ve publicly lambasted your opposing party’s representative and called the people ignorant for electing them. Park Hee-soon is Lee Min-jung’s aide and Han Chae-ah is a political reporter who went to law school with both men.

The rom-com comes from the team behind Protect the Boss, which explains why the posters look vaguely familiar. (Do they only have the ONE font?) It does make me hopeful for some laugh-out-loud comedy, which would be a breath of fresh air in the current drama landscape. All About My Romance follows That Winter which is off-schedule by an episode, so the premiere will be on Thursday April 4.

Posters are meh but the BTS of the shooting: OMG! SHK is like a model, all cheeky and side glances. LMJ is adorable and looks more mature than in her previous drama. They are sparkling together! ♥

Han Chae-ah in another second lead where she gets to dress hotter than the female lead. But, presumably she won't be wiping Lee-Min Jung off the screen like she did with that unfortunate lollipop in Gaksital.

Yeah, that's the way it always seems to work, for some reason, in the world of K-dramas. The lead is often just as stunning as the the second lead, but the story has her coming from behind to to overtake her rival. When I first saw Lee Min-jung (in 'Boys Over Flowers') , I thought to myself: "What a beautiful girl. Beautiful face. A great smile and a charming personality. But, her shape is a distant second to Goo Hye Sun's ('Geun Jandi'). ;)

Of course, it isn't really Jin Sae-yeon's fault that her character was underwritten in Gaksital. I doubt that she would have had the screen presence to play a strong character, but the writer only make a token effort to create one. It was Kang-to and Shunji's story all the way through. By the time she had gotten captured and rescued for the third or fourth time it was pretty obvious that Mok-Dan was going nowhere except as a plot sacrifice. I wouldn't have taken a fifty to one bet on her surviving the series. Rie, on the other hand, had strength and complexity and skills to show off and some really smashing costumes to wear.

Plus, it's easier in terms of acting to play someone sultry and seductive, especially when you have low-cut, tight outfits to wear.
Jin Sae-yeon had a harder role to play. Playing someone innocent and pure, and all done wearing in suits. That's not to say Rie wasn't good. She just had an easier role in terms of acting. Ask any actor which is easier to play/ convey.

I don't think that's true. Not everyone can be sultry and seductive. There has to be a certain sexiness to you already, you can't just act it out. If Jin Se Yeon were to play the part of Rie for example, I doubt she would pull that off tight outfits withstanding. In order for a role to work, you have to suit the character. BUT as a character Rie was just as complicated as Kang To and Shunji in my opinion. Mok-Dan was not. Jin Se Yeon already has a pure and innocent look to her that helped with that character, but all in all there was nothing to that character but pure and innocent.

Posters are boringggg but gah! Watching the video made me super excited.
They seem to have good rapport and the leads (okay, fine, Shin Ha-kyun especially) are adorable~
Definitely going to try watching this one.

I like the posters....they are not high concept but the leads look cute together...I don't expect much from rom-com posters anyways....plus the BTS videos!! Gotta love Shin Ha Kyun.

I think so too! Much simpler than expected.

A REALLY nice touch that I like is the first one where Shin Ha Kyun has red socks and Lee Min Jung has green shoes. Colors that are on two opposing sides of the color wheel but are complementary. Nice ^^

it took me a while to recognize Han Chae-ah as Rie from Gaksital without the eyeliner. She looks wonderful, though. And to join the bandwagon, man, is Shin Ha-kyun mighty fine or what? HOT ahjussi on the house peeps! HOT!!!

I could not watch Brain because I have yet to ever finish a medical drama, but I am all for romantic comedies :) I hope this is crack! Too bad everything released so far has been dull or meh. At least Shin Ha Kyun is adorable as ahjusshi in the BTS and Park Hee Soon is mmm. I have been liking my ahjusshis more these days lolol

I don't like medical drama either. But I was extremely glad I watched Brain it made me fell in love with Shin Ha Kyun. IMO it's the best medical drama ever ^_^

I remember seeing SHK in Save the Green Planet, and Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance. He's not your traditional good looking leading actor, but he has charisma, something A LOT of good looking leading men lack. I'd rate him up there with Song Kang Ho and Choi Min Sik, among others.

And next to him, the usually adorable Lee Min Jung looks so flat and one dimensional. I loved her in Smile, You, and thought she was so so in Big, but that's probably because Big was less than so, so.

I think I'll tune in and see what it's all about. I've been so disappointed with the recent batch of dramas, and I'm hoping the spring season will bring some good fare to watch.

I guess that's the point of the drama: You don't choose who you fall in love with (think Romeo and Juliet) but you can find a way to make it work if you really want to.
There is a number of famous couples where husband and wife were politically not in tune, and still they were happy.

I can't get off the image of SHK in Brain drama. He can't afford having a low-rated drama at this age and Lee Min Jung has appeared in some not-so-popular ones. Hopefully this is not the case. I am praying the script is solid and the plot will make sense, not following the stupid road of Level 7.

Actually, I think he CAN afford having a low-ratings drama. Dude has QUITE the filmography and he's pretty amazing at what he does. Low rating or not, I don't think anyone would put the blame on Shin Ha Kyun solely for his gravitas alone. You can't argue with good acting. But also there is the fact, that I (and maybe others) probably would have not enjoyed Brain half as much without Shin Ha Kyun.

I also think this will be good for Lee Min Jung! I completely forgot about her stint in Boys Over Flowers and realized that she can be awesome and strong (as that character was). So, with this character (a politician has to be strong right?) and Shin Ha Kyun opposite her, she'll probably be bringing the talent up 10-fold even if just to match her co-star.

The cast is really good! Even if the script is not so hot-to-trot, I feel like we'll be entertained anyway. Though, I have a feeling this will be pretty good!

watching episode 4 and I am impress... dialogue is good, political insights very interesting... and very sexy Shun Ha Kyun... plus there is this nice sexual undertone in the interaction of the two main leads...

This drama is surprising with great dialogue, and chemistry between Shun Ha Kyun and Lee Ming Jung. It is very witty and the whole cast is so funny and great acting. It is very refreshing compared to those drama with the usual plot. I hope more people watching this.

This drama was so funny that I was ROFL most of the time..... All four couples were very funny and cute.... And I think SHK as more funny than hot..... But that is not bad at all.... His expressions are to die for..... (Y) :D The one complaint I have though is of Lee Min Jung holding back... I am a big fan of "Smile you" and I cannot picture her that way...

Oh forgot to mention...I like the reporter/ second lead girl... Most second leads get on your nerves but she is as funny as anyone else. This is very welcome.. :) I like her after this drama.. I always thought her pretty but I like her in this one..

love this drama! It was hilarious and I found myself loving all leads and supporting characters. If only the drama was longer, some things could have been improved such as character development.. Anyway, it's been so long since I had a good laugh watching a drama :D
