Song Joong-ki wolfs out

Pretty posters, which sort of surprised me, given the premise. Here’s a look at Song Joong-ki and Park Bo-young in their upcoming film Wolf Boy (also going by A Werewolf Boy), a rather unusual love story between a girl and a feral wolf boy she discovers in a secluded countryside house. The stills are beautiful–enough to make me want to see the film for the visuals alone.
The film by director Jo Sung-hee stars Song Joong-ki as a feral wolf boy, who’s been subsisting on his own in the woods his entire life. The thing I like is that they don’t mince words about what he is–he’s a supernatural creature, something that should not exist in the world, but does. Which, whew. I don’t like genre toe-dippers. If your title is Wolf Boy, don’t give me wolf-like boy. Park Bo-young plays a quiet, closed-off young girl who relocates to a country house for health reasons, and then chances upon the wolf.
It’s set in 1965, and seems to have a sweet, contemplative mood, focusing on the young innocent love between the two. Yoo Yeon-seok (Introduction to Architecture) plays the rival, the son of the wealthy family that owns the house. He has his sights set on marrying Park Bo-young, and is the catalyst for the darker twist in the story, when the town turns on the wolf boy, and he unleashes the beast. Between this and Nice Guy, it looks like Dark Joong-ki all around.
Wolf Boy will have its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival this coming week, and then hits theaters in Korea by October.

I've never seen resident flower boy Joong Ki THIS, um, dirty. And it's weird that I'm digging it.
Park Bo Young looks lovely in that second to the last photo.
I'll look forward watching this 8 years from now, when the English subs are out lol. :)

yeah the visual is like a feast to the eyes. the 1st pic had me staring deep looking for traces of him. he looks so different (in a very fetching way, that is).

Park Bo-young pings on my 'I know her!' meter and so I've been trying to figure out which movie/TV series I know her from.
It turns out she was in a movie I saw about a week ago (yes, my memory really is that feeble) called Speedy Scandal with Cha Tae-hyun. I found her charming in it, and I always love Song Joong-ki so... yay for new movies with awesome people!

omg, Song Joong-ki's eyes and and his face are so expressive. I dont know how wolf-like he will be, but I think he channels the heart of a lonely child perfectly like that...he is really talented!
Those pictures are stunning! The looks, the colours, the blend and ambience are pitch-perfect and dream-like!

The first time I saw the trailer, I thought, "Wow, the leads look a lot alike!"
I had seen the trailer on youtube a week ago and had figured (since my korean is very poor) that it would be about a sad love story between a village girl and a wolf-like boy. I had already planned to watch it, but now that I KNOW he is actually a werewolf, my excitement has been heightened. :) I really hope I can find it subbed somewhere.

The trailer up there was for the Toronto Film Festival, but they just released a domestic teaser (exclusive to naver apparently) for the Korean audience, and it's even better, much closer to director Jo Sung-Hee's style and vision, more ominous and heart-breaking:

that goes without saying when you have SJK and PBY but the posters, stills, and teaser are gorgeous.
it's definitely to his advantage to challenge new roles, and i anticipate both wolf boy and nice guy.

SJK's characterization of the wolf boy looks very good. Also his relationship with the girl shows great chemistry...ahahahah I want to see it!

Park Bo-Young and director Jo Sung-Hee will be there, but not Song Joong-Ki. Has a loaded filming schedule b/c of Nice Guy, and he can't afford to be away for what would amount to a two- to three-day trip at minimum.

I've been anticipating this for so long!!!
First of: Song Joong-ki and Park Bo-young!!! Their interaction in Running Man was so cute!! I've seen their other works and I love them!
Second: I thought it would be a romantic comedy, but after seeing these posters and teasers, it's so MUCH better! Looks so intense!
It looks absolutely awesome! I can't wait!
