Han Hyo-joo’s first solo fanmeeting

On-the-rise actress Han Hyo-joo held her very first solo fanmeeting over the weekend, which took place in Seoul and was called “2 Hours 22 Minutes with Han Hyo-joo.” As is the case with most of these dealios, the fanmeeting was meant to double as birthday party, though a late one: Han turned 24 (by Western reckoning) on February 22 — hence the event’s 2:22 motif — while the meeting was held on March 26.
The Dong Yi star acted as her own MC and DJ, manning the radio booth to play music for her attendees, who made up a relatively small crowd of 250. Han’s was sent congratulatory messages by some of her previous co-stars, which included Brilliant Legacy’s Lee Seung-gi, Bae Soo-bin, and Moon Chae-won, as well as Dong Yi’s Ji Jin-hee, Lee So-yeon, and Park Ha-sun. One co-star who made it out in person as a special guest was Lee Kwang-soo, who acted with her in Dong Yi (and will soon be seen in City Hunter).
Next up for Han: A romance-melo movie with So Ji-sub, Only You, in which she plays a woman slowly going blind.
(True to the industry’s love of tackling topics in multiples, she’ll likely be pitted against Kim Haneul as to who plays the better blind character, since Kim’s got a movie coming up as well. Hers is titled Blind, so she gets obvious points for the name. Kim also gets to play noona to Yoo Seung-ho, so I’m giving her the edge. Not that So Ji-sub isn’t a fine co-star… I’m just tired of him always playing the tragic, broody, angsty dude. Can’t the guy just smile and be happy, ever?)

From the photos , she seemed to be having fun. Her lack of acting skills showed up in DongYi. Hopefully it is a better role for her in Only You, although the storyline sounds boring.

I think she looks so much prettier with long, dark hair! As opposed to the short, lighter 'do she was sportin' in Shining Inheritance. She is not the best actress, but I dig her.

Oooh, I love this gesture! She actually MCs the thing herself and only holds for 250 people. It's a much smaller, and more intimate event.

I absolutely fell in love with Han Hyo-joo in Shining Inheritance. Her character was perfect, she was perfect, pretty much everything in the drama was perfect.
But I think my love may have blinded me to her faults as an actor because I then saw Dong Yi and I was honestly shocked at how terrible it was. There may have been other things at play but her acting left a sour taste that just made me grow disillusioned with that drama and Han as well. Needless to say I stopped watching it midway, it was just that bad of a cringe-fest.
But I still have a fond place in my heart for her. Looking at these photos, I can almost feel her earnestness and enthusiasm. I really hope the best for her, that she may be able to grow in her profession and become successful.

Yoon Eun Hye had a fan meeting in Tokyo in Sept. 2010 at a hall which seats 2000 and the tickets almost sold out, according to reports. How many people exactly I do not know. Of course when the media report "almost" could mean any number. For example, I read that hundreds waited for Lee Min Ho at the airport in Thailand but according to a fan there, there were about 200 and when Hyun Bin joined marine, the media reported thousands of people turned out to send him off, but according to people there , it was hundreds.

according to http://www.frau-inter.co.jp/ in Japan, only Yoon Eun Hye can generate the same amount of sales ticket and turnout as the men even beating that of Choi Ji Woo.

actually i came just for reading this article..but then the 'footnote' made me laughing non-stop..

Yep it was tiring to see So Ji Sub doing same stuffs.
He should be in a romcom and be paired with great comedic actress.

She is one annoying actress!!! I watched "Heaven's Postman" and thought she was appalling! She has never impressed me. I do not understand the stir she causes. I could not finish "Dong Yi." I think "Shining Inheritance" is marginal. She cannot win me over with just her smile.
Why do some actors and actresses get by with their terrible acting whereas others cannot (like SSH)? I DO NOT GET IT!!!
SO JI-SUB. Yes, another one of those pigeonholed guys like Kim Min-joon!! WHY???? It must be his sad eyes. Such a pity he has to star with this girl.
I am so tired of watching people cry. It wastes precious time. Javabeans' other post about how Kdramas are always running behind time made me wonder is that is one reason there is so much crying. It is a stalling mechanism...
