I'm in agreement with you javabeans, Lee Yoon-ji is very much an underrated actress. With the rash of idol-based dramas (All My Love with Jo Kwon, Ga In, and Doo Joon come to mind) on the horizon I have to wonder what the producers, writers, etc. are thinking.

Though I have to admit Ham Eun Jung was fun to watch in Coffee House, but she still has a ways to go (grow into acting) before she'll shine as an actress.

I'm hopeful this won't be a jumble/mess of a show and they'll (the writers, PD, etc.) will put some real thought into making something unique and enjoyable.

This drama sounds like a NIGHTMARE.

I don't think two serious, non idol actors are going to be enough to save this =/

BYJ and JYP are marketing gods. I can just see the OST and all the "Dream High" merchandise flying off the DATV and JYP websites. This show may end up being a cheesy ripoff of Fame and High School Musical, but BYJ and JYP are brilliant enough to pull it off. They have cast this drama very cleverly to pull in the viewers. The tweens/teens will tune in to see their "idols" and the Ajumma Army will be glued to their tv's waiting for a glimpse of Mr. Bae in his first tv appearance in 3 years.

I bet the overseas rights are sold before they even film the first episode.

Lee Yoon Ji will not only be the prettiest face on the screen, but the most talented actress as well. She's been consistantly making converts and stealing scenes in her own inobtrusive way for years and this production will, no doubt, reveal much of the same. Yoon Ji was instantly the object of affection for middle-aged viewers through her endearing performaces in several long-running daily dramas (including Han River Ballad (MBC, 2004) Pure In Heart (KBS1, 2006), By My Side (MBC, 2007) and her performance as the queen in The Great King Sejong (KBS1, 2008.) Despite winning several awards, creating goodwill and warming hearts with her glamorous looks and mega-watt smile whenever and wherever she appears, her fame tends to fly just under the radar and has many refering to her as: "...that girl who was Kangin's wife on 'We Got Married', or "...the Princess from'Goong', etc. She always gets noticed, but never in a huge way. As a long time convert, I am happy to see her attached to another series that will no doubt gain her more attention wondering, "Who is that really pretty big sister who plays the drama teacher in 'Dream High?'...

She's the main reason to watch Dandelion Family - when she's on screen, the whole thing feels real and grounded. I'm a fan, but the descriptions of this production make me feel unsettled. I always hope stuff is awesome, but I don't have a good feeling about this at all.

So this drama is set into a highschool.. While What's Up focuses on college kids? I wish What's Up already got a broadcast date.. Does anybody have an idea why there's still no news?

Yes!! She's definitely an actress I love to watch^^ I watched Dandelion Family just because of her^^ she's pretty awesome, and she's cool and down-to-earth I love this piece of news, hopefully she'll get more recognition and people become aware of her more...
On a sidenote.. I also love that one of my favourite trot singers is her cousin^^ Park Hyunbin^^

...all i can say is thank god they didnt cast yoona....but ham eun jung is pretty good i liked her in coffee house....and i guess taec wasnt too bad in CS...

me too.....tsk tsk...bt to most of the idols (the ones with not much experience) at least have been cast as minor characters...barring i think taec..who i thiought was pretty decent in CS anyways... but i am impressed by the actors they chose for the more substanital roles....as long as they dont cast another newbie idol for femal lead oppostite KSH...please please god let it be Park Bo Young!!

I think I'm the only crazy one whose actually excited about this drama because of the idols. Yes the acting will probably be bad but eye candies man eye candies.
