Eom Ji-won joins Heaven
by girlfriday
Woot! Eom Ji-won (The Woman Who Still Wants to Marry) joins the cast of forensic-investigation drama Heaven, starring Park Shin-yang and Kim Ah-joong, due out early next year. I have to say, Eom is one of my favorite discoveries from this past drama season. I adore her, and the way she can walk the line between professional career woman and vulnerable girl-at-heart, all while making us laugh.
Eom will play the top District Attorney, a fierce competitor in the courtroom who never met a case she couldn’t win. She also has a romantic past with Park Shin-yang’s character, and once they get involved in cases together, will form the main love triangle with Kim Ah-joong.
Eom is known for being a genre-chameleon, and the producers stated that she will again “show a 180-degree transformation” for this drama.
Heaven starts shooting in November, and will air early next year on SBS.

It would be fun to watch Eom playing a sharp-tongue, strong-headed, out-spoken, tough girl who contrasts Kim Ah Joong's character drastically. Interesting love triangle.

I j'adore Kim Ah-joong, but her and Park Shin-yang do not a nice couple make. Or maybe they do? Maybe they'll show me that they do, but meh, will I even watch? I... kinda don't think so.

Girlfriday, I will always associate you with Shin young, Buki, and Da jung -- like a Korean Sex and the City. :P I watched Woman Who Still Wants to Marry right after the series ended, so I went through all the episodes and recaps in like two days. Crackheads would've gone through a crack buffet slower. Any word on a possible Woman Who Still Wants to Marry reunion? I adored them all so much.

Those girls are so near and dear to my heart. They had that perfect balance of enviable careers, fabulous shoes, good girltalk, and messy love lives. SO my cup of tea.

I think in the hand of other, her role of Da Jung would have annoyed the hell out of me. But she somehow alchemize it into something so much more palatable, lovable even.
Also, I finally able to stalk down your pictures at the Comic con, and dude, do you or do you not have Jinhee's hobo bag from "Still, Marry Me?"...Color me jealous!
You also have nice hair. I think I should be hating...

That Hobo Bag from "Still, Marry Me", the black messenger one, I wanted it so bad. But I had a feeling it was some designer so I let it go lol. But I'm going to get a Marc Jacobs hobo bag soon! GF's bag is pretty hot too, love the mushroom shade.
Anyway, will watch this drama because of her!
