I've never actually seen her in anything, but I think the movie's too sad for me. I get so easily influenced by that stuff @_@~

i find it interesting that you don't connect with her-or haven't yet. i've seen most of her work (which is weird because she really isn't the best actress--but has improved a lot), and i've always gotten a very girl-next-door kind of vibe from her. i find her endearing.

but maybe it's just cuz she's GORGEOUS. i hope she is successul in her transformation to a "real" actress with this movie!

I might actually watch this one if subs will be available. I like lighthearted comedy romance genres, but I love movies like these that can weigh heavy on your heart as well.

I liked her in Hong Gil Dong, but I'm not sure I'll be able to sit through such a sad movie.

i never get why people say she was horrendous in snow queen, enough to make the drama unwatchable. she wasn't amazing, but not nearly so bad as all that. snow queen <3 also, sung yuri <3 it took me a while to connect with her, but did i.

I think I'll skip out on this one, just because this genre is something I tend to avoid.

I think her acting in Hong Gil Dong didn't show the full extent of her "natural" acting capabilities. The character Yi Nok required her to act with too much exaggeration (whereas Kang Ji Hwan got the more natural role), so she couldn't exactly pull out the best of her acting abilities. Nevertheless, she made Yi Nok endearing, which earned her a spot in my book.

i never thought i would like her before watching any of her dramas but after watching her in some dramas, i became a fan. she has improved a lot in her acting and its a good thing that she keeps challenging herself in different roles. I'm definitely looking forward to her future work.

I wish people would give Sung Yuri more credit. She has gone through enough criticism on the early point of her career. The days of "hong gil dong". The comments that were made towards her were horrendous. But i'm glad she's determine to be an actress. The only reason why she's able to stay on top until this day.

I hope you come back to a rom-com next time. I miss your cute face!

I can't imagine how subpar her acting was in her previous roles, as deemed by many. I've only seen her in Hong Gil Dong and I found her really endearing as Yi Nok as she shows some range of emotions there, from ridiculously silly to heartbreakingly sad...
And yes that purple lips, at first I thought why would she wear such color? Then I realized from the comments that it was the rainy, cold weather that caused that..

she did a great job in hgd, mostly because the ditzy weirdo girl role is easy to do, but her other stuff has been so meh. hope this one turns out well for her.

i think she's better than another idol turn actress today. on her years idol turn actress has harder time than today idol trun actress.
Today as long you have sexy image, aegyo image you can appear at drama.

I've seen quite a few of her projects, and I only found her to be good in one specific episode of Snow Queen. However, I've got to give the girl credit for trying hard. I feel as if I'm always hearing about her taking part in an indie project to expand her range.

i sincerely hope her effort and determination will pay off. Regardless of how she's conceived as an actress, there's just something unique about her that makes her lovable. i'm definitely giving this movie a fair go...i'll have to give it that much credit since she's pouring her heart and soul into making it :)

I actually found her to be pretty good in Snow Queen! I really enjoy her character here more than in Hong Gil...

Her only drama that I didn't watch is HGD. Love her in all her dramas that I have seen, esp. in Snow Queen.

Wish her the best in this indie film. And I salute her for at least trying to step out of her comfort zone. Sung Yuri, fighting!

I really liked her character in hgd ...she was charming ...very cute ...she's one of my favourite actress, not because she's great, just because she's cute and was pretty funny ...she was like a comic character...i think her worst acting was in "the prince's first love", but i really liked that drama it was so romantic and she was cute ^^

While I wish SY well in her indie film, I'm going to have to disagree and say that her acting in HGD was, well, amateurish.

Since I didn't see any of her earlier roles, I can't comment on how bad she was earlier or how much she had improved since then, but she definitely needs to further develop as an actress.

Yes, her role in HGD was "cute" and "cheery" and had some sad/dramatic moments where she could show her acting ability, but it was a bit too artificial/forced for me (whether she was being cheerful or sad, it was too obvious to me that she was just trying "to act", rather than letting it be "natural"; her "cute act" bugged me rather than endear me to her unlike Shin Min Ah in MGISG, or pretty much anything SMA is in, or YEH in CP).

But then again, I may be colored, since I thought HGD was just barely OK, even KJH (sorry DB), w/ his overuse of certain mannerisms (which bugged the crap out of me); the best thing arising out of HGD was Kim Ri Na.

Isn't the story the same as "will it snow for christmas"?!?? Er.

Woooaaahh........This film must be interesting because I am bit of surprised that it's about based on a true story, wow, I don't mind I will watch this film Noona, of course.

She is one of my fave actresses no matter what ppl say. Snow queen was a bit of a mess, maybe the horrible plot n storyline played a part. The other two shows I've seen her in are Hong Gil Dong (which I loved) n the movie Rabbit n Lizard. The lAtter was too depressing n I didn't manage to finish it but she was great as Yinok the bambling lass. She was ditsy but definitely endearing n I thought she enjoyed great rapport with the oh so cute Kang Jihwan.

I hope this movie finally gives her the commercial n critical recognition (never found her convincing in Finkl or liked the group very much) to set her apart from the Kim Taehees of the world

I love her acting and have seen her in several things! She made me cry in Snow Queen! Will enjoy this one too.

I like Sung Yuri's acting .Sometimes ,its really the role-where the actor/actress can't do much anyway. I hope to see her in offbeat role like in HGD -where she did a lot of stunts herself .How many actresses can do that ? She can also sing,dance and play the piano .

Many times its this bias against idols turned actors again that makes some people overly critical .Why ? I don't get it myself . Is it the idols' fault they have more gifts than others ? Some actors really suck and they don't have any other talents as well . And yet I don't see them being lambasted . Or actors try to be singers and yet people find it cute even if their notes are flat or they are just out of tune . Let us be fair . Its ok to be critical when there is need to be critical but not because it is just a habit .

I think she's one of the most improved singer turned actress and I've loved mostly all her dramas and movie! She's a lot better than some of those overrated popular actresses!

One fine day & snow queen are the best korean melodrama, period.
