All of a sudden, I find myself rooting for KHJ. I expect no disappointment

i'm very excited for it, but i really don't even have expectations anymore. i just wish the drama and its cast and crew good luck.

And yeah, I sure hope Jung So-min can bring out an appealing side of her character and PLEASE no exaggerated face distortions to get some kind of message across (aka Jan-Di <__<)

KYAAAH... reminds me of the original poster for ISWAK where joe cheng and ariel lin almost kissed too (iswak is the tdrama version of playful kiss).. im super excited for september 1! not because im a fan of khj but because i loved the original manga/ story. well, let's hope for the best!

i watched both the japanese and taiwan versions and i loved arjoe's version. with the jdrama version, i actually liked the manga better than the live drama. hope this korean version will also be great.
it better not be a replay of what they did to hanayori dango/meteor garden --> bof.

I watched a couple of interviews and things with him and I can't decide whether it's his schtick to act all awkward and standoffish with girls, or whether he just really is that awkward.

I ask, because there are so man comparings, espacially to ISWAK and TKA, I would like to read your opinion about the drama-plot and acting performances, espacially Joe Chen and of Ariel Lin. Because as like the most commenters here, I am also going to (unavoidable) to compare the acting of this drama with all the versions we have watched before...

Well I dont know, but I think if you are going to recap this drama, you should have also the insight to all versions of this drama, as we love to read your recapping, insights and comments for the dramas.

I hope these Korean actors can deliver esp the required kiss. After all it is Itazura na Kiss. I've seen the Taiwanese version and my oh my their kisses were exciting electrifying and sweet. Again i hope these Korean actors will have the same intensity and will not act awkwardly with their kissing scenes. After all they are actors.

Am looking fwd to this drama too I loved the ISWAK & TKA, for the Japanese I prefer the anime version to the live action.....so am really looking fwd to see what they make of this....n like some one else commented the chemistry btw Jo chen & Ariel was good especially the kissing scenes.....come september!

I confess I hadnt seen ISWAK or the second part..so I found it and watched it...after getting past the first few episodes..I see what the deal is...I quite liked it. Now I am looking for the Japanese version...for some reason I always take to the J versions...but we will see....

My one wish is this: that Playful Kiss not just meet the mark but surpasses it...why? because so far the dramas that had so much going for them have fallen flat. Bad Guy just got the shaft all the way around so it gets a pass....but so far the others have just been phoned in by the writers not so much the actors.

I love all the versions so I hope to love this version too! ;) I think I'll still love the Taiwan vs. best but this looks really cute. Well, I pretty sure that I will end up watching this and "liking it"-- as I have a soft spot for idol dramas, esp those adapted from mangas and have multiple versions from different countries. BOF, for example, - totally botched up but I still enjoyed watching it. I am curious about the leading lady and how she will come across... but I think she'll do a fine enough job with it.

KHJ -- fighting!!! I don't think I will be disappointed in his portrayal as I have very low expectations for him. I think he can exceed my expectations.

Sept 1 -- can't wait for the craziness to start. haha, but then it means that summer is over.

Ok, its week 3 and so far we ave watched 6 episodes.....it really got me on the first one...loved it. KHJ was perfect for this part and when he play jihoo in BOF I thought this part would suit him as he needs to be detached and cold for this character to come through. i have watched both Taiwanese and Japanese versions of this drama. Though the japanese one was very good the female lead was annoyingly loud whilst the male lead was annoyingly tight lipped throughout until the very end when he suddenly mellowed. I have to say i didnt like the Taiwanese version one bit. The ending was silly and I dont think the guy should have worn a wedding dress. His character is suppposed to be proud and stand-offish.
I think this version (Korean) will be another big hit worldwide. It's already on my shopping list as well as the soundtrack. I love the mum in this drama...she is so cool and Hani's father is one of my favourite older gen actors. At the end of each episode I crave for the next one...but sadly I ahve to wait a whole week for the next one. Wonder what will happen in episode 7 and that evil girl tries to steal Seung jo
