I would love it if she did. She was so awesome in IRIS... I became a fan after watching PP and decided to watch IRIS because of her... again she was awesome... I'd tune in to wait for the episode she goes on...

KSW is pretty kool too. I didn't realize he was the guy hosting WinWin too. He's so funny on Winwin. I became his fan after watching IRIS for his awesome acting..

YES. I love Kim Seungwoo. I would be surprised if it was KSY because didn't she like... stop being an agent at the end? I seriously can't remember. I should rewatch the drama. LOL.

Thanks JB for the update, really appreciate the news. ^^ Maybe KSY really isn't going to be in Athena.. as she already sported a different look for Dr. Champ. But if she is.. going to appear in the spin-off.. will definitely watch the episode or scene she's in.

I think she is too busy filming dr.champ to be in athena, but it would be a nice surprise to see her there

unlike most people, I don't want KSY to take her previous IRIS' role, Kim Sun Hwa, in Athena.
Because:
1. Sunhwa's role in Athena is still questionable. With so many studded stars already in Athena, I doubt Kim Sun Hwa hold greater importance in Athena than in IRIS.
This sudden news leave an impression of her character is somewhat being squeezed into the script at the last minute.
2. KSY has publicly annouced she join Dr.Champ as the 1st female lead.
3. If the news is true, I think Taewon Production is being arrogant and inconsiderate of KSY who currently has worked on Dr.Champ's production. Somehow I got the impression, they're pushing it onto KSY's plate. They probably informally informed KSY about her expected involvement in Athena before her decision to join Dr.Champ (if that's the case, KSY probably turned it down), but then, Taewon should have handled the matter better & more professional so it would not cause any confusion like now.
(There might be some entertainment industry's politic involved, which we're not aware)

Unless, KSY appear in Athena as a cameo. Other than "cameo" idea, I think I don't like the idea of KSY joining the Athena casts.

As long as Kim Tae Hee doesn't show up, I'm ok with the actors for IRIS.

Honestly, I don't care for DR. CHAMP very much mainly because an actor I despise will be in it, dare I say his name, Jung Kyeo-woon.

And I would really love to see Kim So Yeon return for ATHENA just because I thought she was wasted in IRIS with weak script writing on her part. Who wouldn't want Su Ae & Kim So Yeon kick some @$$ together or against each other?

Plus, she can be the 'Rachel' on Cha Seung Won's arm... ;-) Admit it, those two would be LETHAL together! Seriously! With Jung Woo Sung & Su Ae + with those two = AMAZING already. Now, it's just up to the writers to keep us entertained. hahah

OMG!!! It would be absolutely A M A Z I N G if Kim So Yeon were to return to ATHENA after her character was so wasted playing fiddle to Lee Byung Hun's character. Seriously!

Imagine her kick-@ss with Su-Ae... or against her! It'll definitely be more worthwhile than any of her scenes with Kim Tae Hee in IRIS, that's for sure. Also, who knows... maybe she was the 'Rachel' in Cha Seung Won's arm. ;-) heheh

Can you imagine Jung Woo Sung & Su Ae VS Cha Seung Won & Kim So Yeon though?! Talk about LETHAL! hahah Unfortunately, I, too, is a little skeptical about these so-called reports. It's too bad that she already signed into DR. CHAMP but then again, if she does return to ATHENA, most of us are hoping that she'll play a major role rather than a small, yet, substantial role in the story.

But like #7 all4movieshave pointed out, "As long as Kim Tae Hee doesn't show up, I'm ok with the actors for IRIS," I'm all for it! No offense to Kim Tae Hee, but I still believed that she was wrong-casted for Iris ever since Son Ye Jin dropped the role. OR maybe I was just biased because I desperately wanted Hyun Jun & Sun Hwa together! UGH!

I'm almost afraid if KSY shows up in Athena, she might actually outshine Su Ae. And let's not talk about Lee Jia...it's redundant.

To me, it probably show that the producer wasn't too impressed witht deh 2 female leadfs in Athena that he decided to add on KSY at the last minute to bring some credibility to female spys.

SA & LJA just looked pretty spies to me and that is abt all. Bet does female spies have such long flowing hair...wonder where they hv time to maintain them.

While I would definitely tune in to Athena if both Kim So-yeon and Kim Seung-woo were confirmed to play their Iris roles in it, I would only be satisfied if their roles carried at least the same significance that they did in Iris. I would be gravely disappointed in Athena if the writers and PD wrote in their roles for what would amount to be not much more than cameo appearances, and as a strategic teaser to increase interest, viewership, and ratings.

Kim So-yeon's Kim Sun-hwa was my favorite character in Iris, and I would absolutely love to see her kicking ass as the beautiful agent from North Korea again. But I'd rather see this role reprisal in the true sequel to Iris, rather than in this spin-off. And, again, only if Kim Sun-hwa's role is one of the lead or primary support roles...not some afterthought write-in to help boost viewership and ratings.

i like if she will appear in this drama. she was the only one character that i like most in iris.
but, if she will paired with cha seung won, it would be great too.
