Totally love this show! So many laugh worthy parts and I can't wait until the next episodes!!!

i do hope the ratings go up!!! whatever anyone might say, ratings DO count especially for the PD team and actors and the station too. let's face it, high ratings mean high revenue for the broadcasting station, increased morale to the PD team, and CF offers to our beloved actors!

I do hope as well that it climbs higher and higher. And I was just surprised that all of Lee Seung Gi's show were on the Top 20 Weekly mostly re-runs of 1N2D & Gumiho! I'm really excited during the Wednesday-Thursday timeslot. teehee.

Well for me, and probably others, King of Baking is first. But I also wanted to watch My girlfriend is a gumiho..
so if Koreans are like me then
I can see why the re-runs ratings are higher.

I'm all caught up now. I love the "A Better Tomorrow" theme scenes w/ Dae-woong's aunt's damsel in distress fit. Hilarious acts!

I like this story line a lot more than I am Legend. I love the part when Miho's tails come out. It's so pretty!!

I totally love this drama, I can't wait to see more of the Gumiho Hunter kekeke :D

I've never been interested in baker king from the beginning and not watched. but I was waiting gumiho and not dissapointed. it was so good and enjoyable. the actors are well-chosen amd the chemistry is so cute.
i hope the ratings will get higher even though i'm not interested in ratings so much...

It is sad when a show you love so much does not get watched a lot. At the same time when it's not blown out you feel a sense of ownership and pride in loving something that other fail to see the awesomeness in.

All the same a show needs good rating to succeed so I hope Gumiho is triumphant!!

I haven't watched Baker King myself, but judging from the ratings and high episode count, I have to agree w/ namemelydia - people will probably keep watching it, but I predict the re-run ratings for MGIG will climb even higher than now. MGIG fighting!

i'm watching baker king..not interested at first, but as soon as i started, i was just hooked..

and i hope it stays dominant..i'm sorry, but my wishful thinking is for baker king to break the lee seung gi effect(anything LSG's in rakes high ratings, even surpassing 40%)..

if i was in korea, as far for episode 21 for baker king, and episode 3 for MGIAG, i'm definitely excited to watch baker king 1st..then, i'll watch the rerun og MGIAG..:)

Why is it a bad thing that all of Lee Seung gi's show all have high ratings!!!

I'm even more of a fan because he's such a well rounded entertainer. This just proves to me more that he has staying powers in this industry.

Even if the ratings stays in the teens. I dont think it does any damage because the first two episodes are already hits so its fanbase is enough be boasting about.

2 days to go before episode 3 can't wait...hope time goes fast except wednesday and thursday...^_^

if BK still has the same rating(i.e. around 40%), then i hope the rating for the rerun of MGIAG to go as high as BK 1st broadcast... hahaha....

imagine the 1st broadcast of both dramas is 40% for BK and 15-20% for MGIAG, then i hope the rerun will be like this, BK 12%, MGIAG 50%.

unless BK's plot gets boring/slow, it's unlikely they will change to MGIAG since they have been following BK for the past 2-3months...

I have a question...do rerun numbers have an effect on the station's overall understanding of the show's success? If I remember correctly, didn't 'You're Beautiful' have a high rerun rating? Though that didn't seem to change the station's attitude toward the drama result.
I do hope that more people watch the show this week and I think that its rational to assume that people will. Some that were watching "Baker" due to the fact there was nothing as good or entertaining on, will gravitate toward Gumiho Girlfriend, but I don't think there will be that big of a dip in their numbers. That probably won't happen until the extension is guaranteed and becomes a glitz in the storytelling [ which sadly is almost a K-drama staple, from what i have observed. ]

I have a question too.. when does the re-run of the drama broadcast again? Does the re-run of my gumiho clash with the baker kim takgu?

The re-runs actually gives the broadcaster a boost of confidence. no doubt it is a good drama, its just luck cos baker kim takgu airs pretty much earlier thus naturally if the story is good it will attract more audience.

I agree with posters above that I doubt people will stop watching Baker King for MGIAG. BK already has like 20 eps and its starting to reach its climax aka high point. But on the other hand if BK's story starts slow down a bit from its current speed that MGIAG may start to rise while BK may fall.

In any case both BK and MGIAG are very good dramas. Too bad their airing in the same time slot. I recently started watching BK and its really good. Its a bit slow at first but once the story picks up it gets really good. MGIAG is also another very good romcom drama. Its cute, fun and refreshing. Good Luck to both!

I love My Girlfriend is a Gumiho so far but i've been hooked on BK nd so far episode 20 its on such a cliff hanger that i think most people will watch BK over MGIAG and also BK has like 10 episodes left so most people will prob. want to finish it so i dont think the ratings will drop but thats just my opinion.

But i love the hong sisters and MGIAG IS VERY GOOD and im loving seung gi so cutee shin mina is mad pretty =)

Thw show is amazing and Shin Minah is so endering and lovable in a scary way that's its almost unbelievable! I hope the rating soar!!! as well they should . I had to wtach the 2nd episode 3 times just to see her!

This is happy news. It was expected Baker King would dominate the ratings until the end of its run. But strong reruns are worth celebrating. I am really enjoying Gumiho... ^^

i was sooo pleasantly surprised. but truth is i checked out kim tak goo and watched all 20 episodes in two days ;___;... i guess it deserves its ~45% ratings because the acting is honestly pretty good~ but still i hope gumiho will go to the 20s range! esp after lee seung gi did so well in shining inheritance~~

baker king only have 10 more episodes to go so just like other people have said, i also think it'll maintain its 40% ratings till the end.

after bk ends, gumiho will still have 4 episodes left so maybe the last 4 eps will have a really high ratings, but then again, Rain and Lee Na Young's come back drama will air after BK so, we'll see.

If I was in Korea I would be watching Kim Tak Goo, then catch the re-run of Gumiho too lol. It's just that Kim Tak Goo started before Gumiho and I'm already so into it so Kim Tak Goo comes first right now.

I don't understand why the premiere goes against such strong opponent as Baker King :( Wouldn't it be wiser to be shifted like 30 minutes earlier (at least for the first episode), and it that way to get higher ratings. This was the thing they did in Bulgaria when the tv show Survivor premiered against the newest season of the tv show Big Brother and the results were quite good, but I suppose that could be qualified as bad practice in some countries :(

I've been Shin Min-ah's fan since Volcano High!!! ^-^ I always liked her acting, so I'm happy for her that she finally is doing a trendy drama, which will maybe make her more popular!!! =D

1 Night 2 Days is the most popular variety show in Korea today. hovers around 30% every episode. peak was 47% as well.

Strong Heart is again, popular. 20% for a Tuesday evening talk show. it's competition, Win Win, is at 8% or less.

Shining Inheritance as well, was at 47% last year.

add the fact that he is also selling alot of albums.

LSG is so big in Korea right now it's ridiculous.
