son yeh jin is beautiful, and i don't see why people would think she wasn't pretty enough in personal taste. in fact i'm pretty sure the pd's purposely dressed her down so that she would fit her character !!! honestly, son yeh jin probably has one of the best non-makeup faces = =

and yaay. park ha sun looks so much better in other things than dong yi though... as the queen she's been looking so emaciated and pale (although that's her part) and before that she was just so serious all the time! but i see her potential! D8! (she looked so pretty in the dong yi script readings~~... han hyo joo looked kind of unrecognizable though lol! so tired looking.)

I can't understand all these sour comments about the one and only Sohn Ye-jin. If they are made purely on the basis of PT, they are missing the point. She is one of the best actresses of her generation. Of all the movies and dramas that I've seen her in, she never disappoints and keeps challenging herself in different and varied roles. Yes, she has slightly aged but you can't deny her beauty. I expect her to glow and grow in the years to come.

Totally agree Javabeans!! As I was watching Personal Taste, I kept saying to myself, heck she looks prettier than the "witch" girl that everyone seems to go gaga over. She has more natural beauty than anyone in the drama.

Guess most people who watched Personal Taste only watched it for Lee Min Ho after BOF (who I know most people started becoming a fan of Kdramas in general) .

The trick is to grow old gracefully. The other thing is our talents. We may look older but what is more important is the way we carry ourselves, act well for ourselves and our fans who adore us and put their faith in us.

SYJ has definitely not failed us and there is no denying that she is fabulous in her looks and her acting.

Well she really doesn't have a reason to lie when so many others are admitting to extreme dieting. It could just be her regular routine she posted instead of what she did for the photoshoot, but the fact she maintains it shows she's got the jam. Some people really can just maintain a figure like that because it's what their body can do. Not to mention, as I said earlier it's really nice to see she's talking about excerising instead of constant dieting like many other women in the Korean Entertainment business tend to. Grand Narrative has tons of articles about Korean women and passive weight control that I'd recommend looking at.

Plus, that waistline is no result of starvation. That's a healthy waistline to my eye. Just eating right and doing a proper workout is what did the job there I bet. Not to mention it helps to have properly fitting clothes. We don't know if she diets, or what her dieting entails, but I doubt it's starving herself. Usually starving instead results in someone looking worse for quite awhile and then completely screwing their body system up later to make it harder to avoid going back to it. Yes, there's photoshop involved, but it can only do so much before looking like a really bad American Apparel ad.

Also, excerise and eat less isn't a secret, but it's a matter of making sure people don't fall into the trap of eating too little since it can wreck the metabolism. Lord knows you still want to eat more than 1000 calories a day. It'll just backfire in the end. Or figuring out what routine will work for your body. Like I said earlier, what works for her just doesn't always work for others.

I bet she'll get plenty of job offers and can't wait to see her again. I found her still a beauty in Personal Taste, the only thing I didn't really like were the clothes!
