To me she doesn't look like Eun hye but she reminds me of Rachel Bilson a lot both in their cute personality, looks, and style. And I like their down to earth personalities so I'm definitely watching this and crossing my fingers that KHJ won't ruin it! (No offence to the fans, I like him because he's so 4 dimensional but acting wise he definitely needs a boost)

Was really looking forward to the Korean version, but I don't think these two lead actors can beat out the two in the Taiwanese version (It Started With a Kiss). I thought Boys Over Flowers was better than the Meteor Showers and Hani Yori Dango, but I guess we'll have to see if KHJ has taken any acting lessons.

K-netizens' response to this casting news has been mostly positive. In the news article i read, the reporter had placed both KHJ and Jung So Min's photos right next to each other, and many thought that they surprisingly looked great together visually, which I agree. (I was initially skeptical about how they would look together when I first encountered the news.)

I am still uncertain about KHJ's acting, but according to the director of Playful Kiss, he said the audience should look forward to KHJ's natural acting in the drama, so I'll give him a chance.

wow im glad its her , more excited by this now, i like her acting in BG.....but KHJ, yes i fell for his pretty face at the begiing of BOF but it doesnt last long when theres no talent behind it...i sincerely hope he does better in this ...nd maybe the drama may be more carried by JSm's character so the directors thought it was a good enough risk for ratings.....but theres some really great talent out there....if the plot and acting is solid then that would attract higher ratings and KEEP the high ratings....without the need for idol casting....but lets hope KHJ can pull it off

Yeah, I'm quite satisfied with Jung So Min. I find her adorable in Bad Guy and I think she would fit perfectly with the lead gal. This will be a very refreshing pair since they are both cute!!

All I can say is NOT Happy, still wanted Park Bo Young Ughhh why did she have legal issues I really want to see her in the acting world again! btw I have NO idea who this chick is so she BETTER do a good job or else this drama just died

Now, I'm happy that she got chosen, I don't like her character in bad guy, but I like her acting there,.(when someone do a nice job doesn't matter how the character is what matters is the acting skill that the actor/actress show) for her first drama she is really good, and seems to have a bright future. Hope the male lead don't take down the show, and make it have bad ratings, she doesn't deserve it in her first leading role.

People talking as if JSM is cast because others dropped out needs a clue.

Park Bo Young was obviously the first actress to be considered but her legal situation didn't make it happen. But after that, all other actors/actresses for KHJ and JSM's role who have dropped out were told by the production team that their chances are'nt great. That's why they released an article of dropping out 1~2 days before the final announcement.

This does not mean that Park Shin Hye and other actresses weren't good candidates. It could just have been dealings within the production team just like Park Bo Young's case.

But either way, JSM was handpicked by the director!!
PSH, Sully, KPoP, Idol Computer singing loving fans shouldn't treat it as if she was the second choice of others who dropped out.

Funny how people want us to considerate the drama because of Hyun Juung when it was HE and his fans that should considered the fans of the manga, anime and actual drama. This drama is not his, it's the FANS right to like or dislike who casting for this popular manga/anime.

Funny how fans of KHJ always make everything ABOUT him when, they know that it was him and them who has to stood by fact and reality that it was THEM that should squeeze themselves and acts smartly/.

but seeing who was casted as the leads disappoints me.

she doesn't have the characteristics as the in manga.. and KHJ should stick to singing..

i think we all must give him a chance to show his true talent in acting......maybe this time he will act with full expression because he was the main lead in this drama! and for sure we all know that he has character naturally look like hero in 'its start with kiss' drama!....if u watch his show in WE GOT MARRIED....so naturally.......maybe director has something special to show us...this time director maybe has a plan and take a risk plus work harder to make this couple and drama BOOM!

Well she seems to be good, but I hope she brings a sweetness and innocence that the character requires.....cause really the drama is all about HER...but to me what would make or break this drama is the chemistry between the leads....KHJ I hope is taking acting lessons or act the way he acted/portrayed in WGM..I love him in WGM....this drama is really dear to me, since it was the drama that introduced me to Asian Dramas...so i'm praying to all Kdrama gods, that this version gets well done.........thx Javabeans for keeping us updated !!!!!!.....

i think we should give Kim HYung Joon a chance to show case his acting talent. If he did not please few people in BOF, it was not his fault. His director guided him and he only followed the script. I believe the guy has some depth given the right director and appropriate script. ISWAK could make him a better actor. Nonetheless, for his millions of fans all over the world, his presence, charismatic smile and sincerity will all make us watch this drama. More powe, KHJ! We love you and will always be there for you!

for me KHJ'acting was akward in BOF.. hope KHJ will show up us w/ better acting in his second drama.

But somehow, I watched the pilot episode and I gave up. She is good and KHJ improved a little. But they almost copied everything in Goong.

I understood they have the same prod and director.

Well, shame on the people who judged her at first. Even the ratings is low in Korea, PK is popular among overseas fans. JSM is reallyy good in her portrayal. Most K actress will overdo this type of role, but JSM effortless nailed this role realistically. Honestly upon hearing that KHJ will portray the role made me, huwaaat?!! But curiosity strikes and after one episode, after the other, I was hooked. I think this is because of OHN/JSM. She's so annoyingly endearing lol.
