The Demolished Man’s poster featuring Kim Myung-min
by javabeans
Here’s the offical poster for the movie The Demolished Man, which stars Kim Myung-min as a minster whose daughter was kidnapped when she was 5.
The minister fervently hopes and prays for the return of his child, but ultimately those go unanswered. Eight years later, he has given up all hope of recovering her and has renounced his faith in God, until one day he receives a phone call — his daughter has been living with her kidnapper. Now he puts everything on the line to find her and bring her home. Emphasizing the all-encompassing desperation felt by his character, the copy on the poster reads, “I lost my daughter and died.”
Kim has been on a roll with successful projects, the most recent one being his portrayal of a man dying of Lou Gehrig’s disease in My Love By My Side, which was preceded by his hugely popular characterization of an irascible but brilliant conductor in Beethoven Virus. As he has built up a reputation as one of the premier actors in Korea, there’s a high level of interest in seeing how he continues to transform himself in every new role.
Eom Ki-joon (Hero) plays the psycopathic villain character and Park Joo-mi (All In) plays Kim’s wife. The Demolished Man will open in July.

Kim Myung Min's on a roll man!
I watched Love By My Side and didn't really like it. Thought it was mediocre at best.
Hopefully this one will be better..

i think they should have picked a different poster shot. This one looks kind of gross with the stitches (?) and all...It just makes me turn my head away.

Kim Myung-min has one of the most fascinating faces I've ever seen. Not classically handsome, but when he smiles, he's actually quite breathtaking. I love when a person's face is totally transformed just by smiling (Lee Jung-jae and Jung Il-woo are like this, too).
I really liked My Love By My Side, and I plan to work my way through the rest of his repertoire one of these days. This sounds like a pretty good thriller, and I'm very interested to see Eom Ki-joon as a psychopath.
