So Ji Sup won award over Jung Kwan Ryul and Bae Soo Bin. Sigh . . . have to disagree this time. Jung Kwan Ryul's performance as the tortured father-villain in Swallow the Sun was my favorite male performance from SBS this year.

FEMALE ACTRESS:

Evil Mom from Shining Inheritance won. Loved her in this role, especially since it was completely opposite her typical casting. Close to crying here too.

Ahh, she's starting to cry before she even begins her speech. This is an awesome comeback for her.

SBS Awards Show has all the big emotions that MBC Awards Show didn't have. Laughter, tears . . . why, it almost feels like a Real Awards Show. :D

Also I think SBS made the right call. Temptation of Wife went 129 episodes and sustained its popularity through most of that run.

And everybody was happy. The big hits got love. The mania hits got love. Big stars, new stars, Son Dam Bi, everybody went home happy.

Such a fun night. Glad to have spent it with you all on OT. lol. Time to hit the sack... I need all the sleep I can get! It's NYE over here! :D

No (which is why I had a hard time picking up who was who when TOW people were getting awards), but I watched Temptation of Angel. TOW was always on TV here, but the 130 or so episodes scared me off.

But I'm glad she won. This was an important comeback role for her, and she's actually very popular in China.

Finally . . . this was a very good awards show. SBS made the effort to reward a lot of their shows, even the ones that didn't turn out great ratings. Also, I think Kim Hye Soo won an award too, but because she wasn't present, they couldn't give it to her.

I'm happy for CH's awards especially for CSW's best actor award. He totally deserves it. KSA looks WOW in that dress especially from the side. KSA and CSW looks so good together due to height.

*sigh* I've been hoping for Moon Geun Young & Jang Geun Seok to be in a drama together. At least I'll see them hosting together if anyone gets to posting the clips on YT. Can't wait to see A.N.GELL sing.

A melodrama in fact. Sigh. It's true -- So Ji Sup and melodramas go together like Jang Geon Suk and "adventurous fashion", but I wish SJS would do more rom-com. I'm glad he's finally been allowed to live in his own shows, but can't we have just one where he isn't being tortured?!?

SJS and KSA has been a dream couple for years. One of my mini-drama theories is that Chae Rim and Kim Sun Ah could have had each other's resumes (also kinda true, since they did a sitcom together way, way back.) The dynamic would be different, of course, but the two are almost like sisters in that way. And I think they should swap men.

Anyway . . .here's a MV of SJS and KSA back from Joa-Joa. I think SJS was the "other guy", but I liked the chemistry nonetheless.

Watching KBS Awards show now. Quick observation. REALLY not feeling YEH's granny outfit. But I love KTH's wild boy band hair.

Oh Man Suk opens the show with a rock number. Ahhh, wonderful. :D

Mwah, if I don't talk much, it's cuz I just bought a cra*pload of dramas (all legit, too). I just snagged myself official releases of old TVB classics I've been talking about, and they all have English subs! Woah, TVB, thanks for finally getting with the times.

Anyways, anyone want to borrow, just let me know. The store ran out of a few titles, but will restock and then I will attack once again and leave with half their stock.

My silly wish to have top k-drama actors and actresses in one epic drama, well it stemmed from remembering that TVB pulled it off once and only once in a lifetime. The Five Tigers plus one Chow Yun Fat together in one drama, with every single female and male actress in the TVB stable.

Yup, the Yang Saga is what I'm talking about. Click on link above for the goodness. I call it: let's all get together, drink and make a drama together, okay guys? Kinda like the Four of a Kind show in Japan recently, only reason to work together.

Yesasia is selling many of the classics, but I personally hesitate to buy from them. However, the official TVB releases are being sold in many other DVD sites. What's best is that TVB only in the last few years released these, so up until now, its been hard to find.

The Bund (Chow Yun-fat in all his youthful spendor - this is what Kang Ji-hwan's Capital Scandal could have been and should have been).
Fox Volant of the Snowy Mountain (another Louis adaptation, but I bought the 2007 version just to check it out).

Legend of the Condor Heroes 1982 version with Barbara and Felix is on back order - apparently, the best selling re-release of all the old TVB classics, people LOVE Barbara so sayeth the store owner. He was surprised how many youngsters who weren't even BORN before Barbara died heard about it, watched it, and now want to own it.

Oh, and I picked up 2 k-dramas - Bad Family and Mixed-Up Investigative Agency.

I'm in blissful heaven right now.

Watching the part where KBS Show is showing trailers for Chuno and Reputable Family. Have to be honest, the Chuno trailer was kinda meh for me.) And Rep Family looks surprisingly good. Huh.) But Oh Ji Ho looks delicious. :D

Last year, they did a little skit to hype up Empress Chuchu. Was hoping they'd give the same treatment for Chuno.

Reviewing the Netizen response for favorite actor. LBH placed first. Which I thought was surprising. But was especially shocking was Kim Hyung Joon placed 2nd and well ahead of Lee Min Ho. (Also noticed that KHJ got perhaps slightly higher pop than LMH during the show. Huh.)

The breakdown:

1) LBH. Deadbeat father of my kids: 22,624
2) KHJ. Ji Hoo, who though more wooden than Shin Woo also had bigger balls. Had to be said. Shin Woo -- learn from Ji Hoo, just not the acting part. And for the love of God, do not cast KHJ for Kim Petto!!: 20,393
3) LMH. No pama, no new show? WTH man, stop doing CMs and let us know what's next. BTW, LOVE your beautiful teeth!: 18,907
4) Yoon Sang Hyun of My Fair Lady, aka The Good, The Bad, and The Pama: 6,237 (pama fail?)
