@ 246 anniee: Ha, you're right, Show fans are indeed generous. We spread the love around because so does he; it's only natural that everyone love him, after all. ^^ OMG, another drama already? Not that I complain but dhjfgsksd this is FABULOUS. I'd love to see her with Jiro again, too, heck, Rainie sizzles with everyone. I just watched the first ep of Black and White and Kingone creeped the me the HELL out, but then I sortof imagined what would happen if Rainie popped out in front of him and started giggling. And, LOL, ZaiZai. I love him.
re WISFC; I'm still inadvertently stalking WITHS2's sub page even though I know they haven't even started eps 3+4 yet. I'd kill to be able to read Chinese, WHY DO THEY SUB EVERYTHING SO FAST. I'm learning Korean and could probably do decently without but I'm anal about knowing every word. You really can't touch Korea's talent for gorgeous melodrama. I DEMAND to be wrecked by this. I haven't been wrecked by a drama since Snow Queen. Have I been doing an Iris and been part of Bora must die faction all along? I mean, now that I think about it, Hyunbin's manpain is precious, precious stuff.
I love the influx of new headers; Smile You is up there now! Cute! I'd watch it but I'm frightened of the amount of eps and I have never yet forwarded through a drama.

You know the terrorist leader guy in IRIS, what's his name, anyone?
He's smokin hot ! ;)
I'm currently rewatching IRIS while digging up all old information of the Korean Peninsula Crisis from my head, just to be able to compare ... and just to tell myself that there's no way such hot terrorists actually exist.
Man that dude's hot....

@ Will It Snow For Christmas
I'm starting to find some love for this drama on this OT. It is currently my designated wed-thurs drama. It's been a while since I saw some melo so I thought I could handle some angst right about now. It hasn't disappointed me so far. It has all the cliches I was expecting(and actually hoping) for in a melodrama. I could totally understand why Belleza is going mental on Go Soo. For me, Go Soo is like a good friend that you haven't seen in a while and so glad to be seeing again. The smooth transition from teen Kang Jin to adult Kang Jin was all thanks to him. He's gotten better as an actor. Couldn't say the same for the Ji Wan character though. Han Ye Seul just couldn't match the innocence-feistiness combo of the young Ji Wan played wonderfully by Nam Ji Hyun. Actingwise, Nam Ji Hyun is the biatch!!! To be fair to Han Ye Seul, I don't find her annoying or ill-fitting for the role. At least she's trying her best to match her character's teen behaviour/persona. If it's any consolation to HYS, Nam Ji Hyun also happens to be the younger Deok Man. Even Lee Yo Won, who is considered one of the better actresses around, had a hard time trying to match the young Deok Man. I remember reading some comments in OT at how some had given up Queen Seon Deok when she became an adult! Ouch! All in all, I hanjanman, predict WISFC ratings will rise from its dismal levels after IRIS has finished.
BTW, I might start a petition to the networks to ban shower scenes in kdramas. I've been reading a lot of people calling it an 'obligatory' shower scene. WRONG! It's called a 'gratuitous' shower scene. It's about time that us, menfolk, get the respect we deserve. It's about time that women see us as not mere sex objects to ogle at. We have brains and feelings too, you know. I'm sure my twin sister bspanda will agree with me.

@hanjanman,
"I might start a petition to the networks to ban shower scenes in kdramas."
REQUEST DENIED!!! :D
"t has all the cliches I was expecting(and actually hoping) for in a melodrama"
What's interesting is that though the cliches are all there, there's enough texture around the cliches that I found myself genuinely investing in them. For example, we didn't realize until episode 4 that JiHwan calling Kang Jin's mom a whore deeply hurt Kang Jin, and is why he dumps women immediately (see episode 1) if they cannot accept his mom. Or that we start to realize Lee Woo Jung, when she is drunk, resembles his own mother. It's always been in front of us, but we don't see the subtle characterization come together until later.
Also, it now makes sense why Lee Kyung Hee wrote such a detailed scenario during the childhood storyline. That storyline is repeating itself in the present. In addition, we're also seeing parallels between the past of his and her parents and now. Finally, we even see that their childhood mistakes match the mistakes they make in their current life. The same choices, the same needs. Just marvelous craftmanship.
"All in all, I hanjanman, predict WISFC ratings will rise from its dismal levels after IRIS has finished."
It's gotten good buzz and word-of-mouth. I'm hoping it ends up in the low teens.
"To be fair to Han Ye Seul, I don’t find her annoying or ill-fitting for the role. At least she’s trying her best to match her character’s teen behaviour/persona. I"
Han Ye Seul's been fine to me. The neat thing Lee Kyung Hee's done with the "sweet, naive" Cinderella character is enable her to speak up about her own frustration with both men. In other words, even though she's willingly being used by Tae Jun, she's also speaking her mind about her own situation, which makes her seem more pitiable. Like she knows she's in a bad relationship, but she's holding on, not really because she loves him so much, but because she's been a doormat of love since her childhood.

I find him strangely compelling. I think he kind of looks like a centaur or a faun but an intensely charismatic one. I've never seen him in anything else and my guess is maybe he is a theater actor because he has a lot of presence.

Okay so in the middle of my procrastination...I noticed that at least two mangas are being adapted into jdoramas soon/next season, which in itself isn't unusual but the fact that I've read some of both caught my attention. I don't think I'll watch Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge (Perfect Girl Evolution or it's English title the Wallflower) since I'm not a big Kame fan, but I'm tempted to try Peacemaker Kurogane....I know it wasn't that popular (not true to the real Shinsengumi historically and stuff) but the artwork was pretty and I bawled during episode 19 of the PMK anime (it was so good). And the OST is pretty...even today the instrumental track Sorezore Hisou gets me emotional.
By the way JB, a little late...butI really liked last week's song of the day! I've been listening to Emma Lee while studying for the past week and her other stuff is pretty neat too.
Oh and I'm loving all the new headers! Especially the You're Beautiful ones!
Edit: Wait the next NHK historical is on Sakamoto Ryoma...so two Meiji Restoration dramas in one season? Interesting...

Hi Everyone from one of the few days that rains in Southern California , and everyone else is still driving like they are trying out for the NASCAR race:
Holy Moly...all those nuts out there. From the front of our clinic, we can see the freeway, and it was sad that we kept seeing the EMT/fire trucks had to keep answering calls throughout the day...why, because people would NOT SLOW down.
@hjkomo and kgrl
I hope you both are recovering...it's no fun being sick near the holidays- millions things to prepare for the holidays and stresses at home and at work....try to rest and get well soon.

The winter melon soup was a hit in the house. The big pot of it ( 8 qts) was gone within 2 nites. I'm glad everyone enjoyed it. I think I will give it a rest and will make...beef bone soup next...another goodie for cold winter nite ;)

Ummm, I'm one of the nicer one here, but I can tell you right now that your petition will never "make it " past this "females dominated " OT (this is from my Hubby who just popped his head behind me while he's taking a break from his Laker's game) ;) In case you haven't notice, we have a few sub groups here- ICOMYM, Team Park Kyu, and etc...all led by outstanding ahjumma's here ( @langdon is the founder/president of ICOMYM). The part where"It’s about time that women see us as not mere sex objects to ogle at. @243 momosan
is there ANYTHING that Kimura Takuya is not hot in? The man personifies Hot. Even when he plays a serial killer, he's hot (A Thousand Stars Fall from the Sky). Even when he's going through the motions and playing himself in yet another standard romcom (Love Generation), he's hot. He's hot when he's acting with only his voice (Miyazaki's Howl's Moving Castle). So, naturally, he's hot as a race-car driver (Engine - great series, btw), or an airplane pilot (Good Luck - not seen this; but from what I've skimmed Kimura is, hot).
I see belleza and langdon replied. Well, you raise a question of such cosmic proportions, it deserves multiple answers!
@ 245 Snikki
Yamapi and Keiko dating?! Sheesh, the things you DON'T find out from a star's daily blogging. Actually, I'm just glad to hear that Yamapi has a girlfriend. I fret that these Johnny's boys might not be able to have normal lives, or that they have their heads permanently messed up. Not that I'm sure he's not messed up. But in the unreal world of J-idol-dom, dating a girl seems touchingly normal to me.

Good Observation! I was only thinking of the cliche 'rich girl will fall for uninterested bad boy' building up between the Kang Jin and Woo Jung characters. And I only assumed the respect and patience he still provides her, despite her foul behaviour, was all simply borne out of her being his boss. I think I appreciate now what the writer has in store for these two characters aside from the cliche.
@ langdon813
Somehow I knew you would react strongly to my 'Ban Gratuitous Shower Scene' petition. Well, I shall try to be steadfast at my resolve to have my petition put to force. Oh, and while I'm at it, I'd also add a 'Ban Abs Flashing' in all tv networks Kpop performances. Especially Taec Yeon's of 2pm!

Actually, I don't mind being ogled. =) It would be a rotational change from just being used for my brains and my good character. I like to be ogled for all of my strengths evenly, so that no part of my id (or is it ego?) feels left out or lonely.
But if the issue is being raised with even a modicum of serious-ness, let me be a bit less flippant. The time is past, for me I think, to examine gender roles and objectification. I am a whole person, with integrity of character, mind and body, and so being viewed in a limited capacity or for limited purposes, doesn't bother me.
When I go to work during the day, then that's my role. When I wash bottles and dishes after I get home, that is what I am. When I go to the gym, or when I golf or mountainbike, etc., it is all the same thing. I am all of those things, and being viewed in a limited capacity is fine, it doesn't limit me because I am emancipated from all others, and because I have no constraints placed on me. In other words, how others view me doesn't constrain me at all. At least, not in the places that I inhabit, work, live, play.
For others, like many (but not all!) women and other groups/individuals that have face and still face very real power and class issues, objectification and stereotyping does constrain them because it forces them to have to continually challenge and beat back strawmen. It isn't fair, and those daily battles not only limit their ability to thrive, but it discourages them from even competing in the first place.
Objectification is an issue of power. If women were not so constrained, then being viewed as a sexual object would not be problematic, insofar as being cheap and distasteful is more of an annoyance than truly something to protest.

@ 116, Kay
Not sure if you're still reading this thread, but I can rant all day about this topic. Unfortunately way too many people watch her shows and since she has her own production house I really can't see all the saas-bahus manipulating plot lines will end anytime soon. They make Kdramas like Stairway to Heaven look revolutionary and non-cliched. ::sigh:: Oh well, maybe if how TV actors are paid and better budgets for TV production are provided maybe it will shift away from soap heavy television (which is unlikely because the main demographics is women in their 30s to 60s). And what is the influx of all these reality shows?
And really Ekta Kapoor isn't the only offender...have you seen Yeh Rishta Kya Kehalaata Hai? Talk about regression! I'm all about family values, but reallly? Not only the show indirectly suppresses women, but the storyline is like from the 60s and the pacing is so slow. *headdesk* I think the only series I ever bothered to finish was DharamVeer and that's because Rajat Tapas is a cutie and talented (though I heard all the fame may have gone to his head---but he was pretty good as a young Prithvi in PC, I think I"m still surprised at how young he is). But I know I view Indian television through a somewhat American lens especially when it deals with gender roles.

@ 235 hjkomo and Family Honour
I like Family Honour very much. The main reason: the family bonds and values really won me over!
About two OTs ago when you gals and Samsooki were talking about the family registration book thing (Chukbook or something similar in pronunciation because we Chinese also use the same term), I immediately thought about this drama. I gather from this drama (and some others like Hello Miss) that Korean really treat this as a serious matter but less so for Chinese nowadays. Nonetheless, the pursuit for family honours is pretty much the same, a value that my hubby tries to instill in our daughter!
The two families in Family Honour couldn't be more different but their love and concern for their family members are just the same. One element of Kdramas that had me at hello are those lovely and cute grandmas and grandpas. They are either super stubborn or super perceptive. The grandpa (or great grandpa) in FH is one of the best, and I adore all the chess game scenes to bits. This is yet another story about hearts and respects eventually ruling the day! Call me old-fashioned, I do like stories with a moral lesson :)
@ nycgirl and Que Sera Sera from last OT
Do try QSS. It is not a mainstream drama but JB's rating quoted below should give you some assurance.

I just finished epi 2 of CITC....ohhhh, it's sooo good. This episode made me cried. It was about the innocent love between Milady and the young police....so pure...and sooo sad when all those terrible things happened to her and her family( I don't want to elaborate if any one else wants to start this drama). I was able to "stay" with this drama better than yesterday's. The fact was that some of this episode's flashbacks answered some of the questions that I had.
Thanks for recommending me to this drama....I love it.
**Since this drama is sooo intense, I find myself not able to watch more than 1 episode at a time. I have to let it sink into my brain, slowly analyzed some of the points and thus able to appreciate all that happened. This, to me, is more neuro-stimulating, vs YB - it's more "my hidden younger girl" version of mindless fantasizing ( drooling) experience- both necessary for my stressful daily life ;)
----another great benefit of "sharing" in this wonderful OT.

@ cingdoc
Glad you're enjoying CitC, too.
The early episodes take a bit to get your head wrapped around the politics and story, but the later episodes carry so much momentum, you'd probably enjoy marathoning the rest. And get your tissues ready...Naeuri will make you cry several more times.
Isn't it great to watch a drama that "neuro-stimulates" and, for a change, treats the viewers as intelligent people rather than idiots?
And the politics are intriguing as well. Here, you have a king trying to make reforms to help the common people and limit the power of the greedy, self-serving nobles...but the radical movement that wishes to bring equality and a new genesis to the people ends up joining hands with the conservative faction who's trying to stop the king's reforms. Like I said before, politics makes for strange bedfellows.

@ nea:notoriousnoona -
I actually just found a new utility for my Mac this evening because I was moving another file over to my iPod and I was sick of the old ffmepgx interface - so non-OS X as they haven't updated in a few years. So I went looking and found Submerge - It's a bit twitchy, and cost me a cool $9, but I now have another nice episode on my iPod to watch tomorrow afternoon. It quite picky, requiring nice plain short matching file names in the same folder and sometimes it's weird about not quite getting the file completely read, or in the right format, but when that baby works, it works like a charm. find, render, save to an iPod happy format, BOOM! there it is. However, I have an industrial strength MacPro, so YMMV.

@nycgirl somewhere at 250?
That might be the case. I'm just drawn to him for some unknown reason.
I mean, normally I'm not THAT attracted to guys with poodle fur on their head. But throw in some ugly stonewashed tankitops and muscular arms, and you just got yourself one nice package.
Gonna go rewatch the terrorist episodes and see if I catch a glimpse of him. :)

Have watched QSD ep57 of The Hug! (aaaw…Bidam’s hurt showing in his red eyes just breaks my heart) Do you think we will get a kiss in ep59? Sagueks are so miserly with kisses (don’t they kiss in the old days?). Not one in all 70eps of Janggeum (one of my top favs), and don’t remember any in Yisan, Jumong.
Blush, blush…because of Samsooki’s very detailed description about kdrama kisses (in ep14 CH recap), @cingdoc and I have been commenting on this. Lol
So, what’s the best/hottest kiss in kdrama? (sorry, if anyone has posted on this, will just have an update).
And the most disappointing? (for me, its gotta be BOF. Lee Minho, you are sooo HOT but… ) :-D

@cingdoc,
I would love my children (when I have children) to feel unique but have an integrated sense of self. A lot of it is superficial for me, too. I want them to feel beautiful too.
@simplesm,
“Lol, I dare not mention chicken feet as I thought will gross out many peeps.”
Hey not, don’t hate on chicken feet!!! :( :( :(
"Do you think we will get a kiss in ep59?"
Ehhhh probably not, because I don't know how much the QSD writers truly want to give us Bidam/Deokman.
This is kinda new territory for me too, because I've never seen this in a sageuk before. A few episodes ago, when she talked about her wanting to lean on him, I was totally OMO!! OMO!! 'cos I didn't expect the writers to go in that direction at all. I was totally waiting for Evil Bidam, and they kinda went 180 on the script.
We're right now in a true Live Shoot situation. I still think Bidam dies in the end (this is sageuk, somebody HAS to die!), but my hope is that Bidam dies a hero, not a villain. That he dies LOVED.
@nea:notoriousnoona,
“I find it rather interesting that there is so much love for this show only 2 weeks in”
I love my melodramas, and Lee Kyung Hee is one of my favorite melodrama writers. This presses all my happy buttons. I mean, it’s what I say about You’re Beautiful -- You’re Beautiful is an idol drama. People blanche at that genre identification, but the show has the standard conventions of the genre and works off those conventions masterfully. When It Snows on Christmas does that for me. Very old fashioned, very particular to the season, but it’s just well executed. Also the visual direction is marvelous and marvelously sendimental, not unlike an old fashioned 90s J-drama.

Yeeess, me too! And I am so scared Deokman will betray him. Please...nooooo...
Btw, I hope KNG will be in a lead role and he will get his love. His kdrama love history is terrible (goodbye solo, when spring comes, BSGS)

Just finished CITC ep 1 and wow action packed. Or should I say info packed? There was so much being said, so much political jargon. Not huge on the politics, only cause I know very little about Korean history, but I will say that shows like this and Damo have made me want to know more. But did I miss what the time period was? I was a little taken aback by the pistols.
@cingdoc and others
I don't know much about Asian American culture in that sense (though empathetic), so I've actually learned alot over the last few months. I've had plenty of conversations with Korean friends and acquaintances but none are American so the perspective from which I read here is vastly different. I think that its very easy to get caught up in your own personal struggle as a minority (meaning mine) and remain fairly ignorant to others. I'm glad you all have given just a little more insight. Thanks :D
@simplesim
And the most disappointing? (for me, its gotta be BOF. Lee Minho, you are sooo HOT but… )
Which kiss are we talking about cause I loved the first one. It was sweet, gentle, timid and somehow spot on heart melting. If I were JD I would have definitely fallen for him in that moment. To me, somehow MinHo conveyed an innocent, vulnerable heart in that scene to me. Loved it!
@belleza
Not sure if I love melodramas (don't want to admit to that just yet ;) ) but I will say that this drama has a wintery feel that I always like. When you say "particular to the season" that is what I think of. Dramas like Crazy for You, A Love to Kill, La Dolce Vita all gave me that winter appropriate feel. Like this story can only occur during this moment , this season, this block in time. I like that.

I am so excited to read all the discussion on Kimura Takuya. Am I the only one that replay him saying "Must be" in Pride like a hundred times? I would highly recommend "CHANGE" as a drama of Kimura to watch along with all the other ones. The show has a great plot and while Kimura's hair in the beginning is not great he will change it so don't get turned off by his hair style.

o I love lotus root soup with peanuts and chicken feet!! I used to not be a BIG lover of chicken feet, but I think last 5 years or so it's all about collagen and how good that is for our skin (or so I'm brainwashed by my mom), chicken feet r loaded with it, and it's cheap (and can be yummy)
and yeah, gross me, I loved fried pig intestine as well *duck*....and eating fried stinky tofu nonstop with chilly sauce is my vice It's soo bad for u that it's good (not unlike the fine acquired taste for a good kmelodrama.... or wine and cheese).
I dunno I have yet to see a k melodrama that completely do it for me. I like my dramas subtle and hate when they r throwing truckloads of glitzy grandiose histrionics at me hoping some will stick and affect my tear ducts... mine r tenacious. The melodramas that are effective for me are those SUPER old j ones with Momoe Yamaguchi and Tomokazu Miura. I've just rewatched ShunKinSho with my folks (its their sentimental date movie!) It still tugs all the right strings for me. I love those more mono no aware jdramas as well, I sobbed thro Kaze no Garden even if it's at times just showing pretty scenery.
I think I'm officially off the wagon of Kimutaku hotlove. I'm getting lethargic watching him. (maybe I'm not straight anymore...I wonder) Our love has expired, we had a glorious time of 13 years since LV though. I don't think I'll ever sit through anything just coz of him. (Change was my last straw, and I'm hanging on for old time's sake with Mr Brain) The one I'm most rabid of him was still LV though, maybe it's coz I saw him at his most vulnerable as an actor, with enough buzz on his shoulder yet before the ruling of the world of KimuTaku.
FANSERVICE FOREVER!!! but I'll happily replace that with hot make-outs and tongue-y kisses in kdrama. The one in B&W (or ISWAK 2) pawns all shower scenes for me. So if whenever they r angst-ing over lost love, they flashback on some hot makeouts of yesteryears.... yeah I'll willingly take the shower instead.

"The melodramas that are effective for me are those SUPER old j ones with Momoe Yamaguchi and Tomokazu Miura. I’ve just rewatched ShunKinSho with my folks (its their sentimental date movie!)"
Nothing -- and I mean nothing -- guts your soul like a good Japanese melodrama. :D
@simplesim,
*SPOILER TALK*
Queen Seon Duk is a great example of a show which went through major live shoot syndrome. The original synopsis show was going to have Deokman defeating Mishil, but then have Bidam as her final adversary. The Bidam Rebellion. This is not really a spoiler, and this has nothing to do with the extension; the writer announced this back in May. Now, here’s the interesting part. The original speculation was that Deokman might die in the Bidam Rebellion (since her actual reign was believed to be probably brief.) And again, this was brought up back in August/September.
So what happens between now and then? Fanbase falls in love with Bidam. Because Bidam was so ridiculously popular, they expanded Bidam’s role early on in the show. (Alcheon also had a more active role than originally intended.) The writers have tried again and again to support a villain turn for Bidam, but the fanbase keeps going “Poor Bidam!! Poor Bidam!! Bidam needs love!!” This isn’t mere love triangle; this is a love revolt. :D
It’s unprecendented in a K-drama, let alone a sageuk, for the rival love interest to “win.” But it looks like that here. Yushin essentially gave Bidam his concession speech LOL. Even if Bidam and Deokman can never be, the fact that Deokman genuinely confesses her love for Bidam is a huge, huge fanservice/rewrite from the PD people. It’s basically them saying “okay QSD fanbase, you guys win”, and it’s a reflection of the audience’s will.
The fanservice can be a little unseemly. In episode 58, you have scenes of Yushin bailing out his country, undercut with Bidam and Deokman getting all lovey-dovey. That’s just inappropriate, and it makes it look like Yushin’s fighting for the Bidam/Deokman Romance rather than the security of the country. But weirdly -- I ended up loving that juxtaposition because . . . well, Yushin IS fighting for the BD Romance. :D LOL When you have a show that’s so blantantly throwing out any semblance of historical plausibility to give us the fan service that we DEMAND, you hafta to love that.
*END SPOILER TALK*
QSD is a fascinating show, because it’s extremely rare for a mainstream sageuk to have the villain(s) essentially take over the show, supported by an awesome diva turn. Before the show started, Go Hyun Jung said “It could be just a period piece about one woman. But I’m going to do all I can to get the attention away from Seonduk. You’ll see a Go Hyun Jung who makes Lee Yo Won who plays Seonduk feel challenged.” And that’s what happened. Deokan wins the battle, but Go Hyun Jung won the war. ;)
“Btw, I hope KNG will be in a lead role and he will get his love.”
Oh no doubt. KNG will officially get his major lead status after this role. One of the best roles to get is the rival role in a popular daeha/sageuk. If you do well, you’ll not only get critical praise and public visibility, but you’ll have the public clamoring for you to “Get the Girl” next time. That is what happened with Song Il Guk and Emperor of the Sea. It’s the stepping stone to get the big roles.

Mm hmm!!! It's all medicinal and weird, but it tastes really good. :D
Speaking of healthy, this one HK cafe I like has hot tofu pudding with ginger syrup. You wait until it congeals in the pot, and it's so sweet and spicy and milky. Enervating!
".and eating fried stinky tofu nonstop with chilly sauce is my vice "
Yeah, I love some good stinky with a lot of "la-ja." However nobody around me likes me eating the stuff.
Speaking of stinky, is Durian fruit really as stinky as reputed? They offer durian boba at this one market, and I'm curious. But I don't want to throw up while sucking down a bubble, you know?

So CitC is the drama of DB dramaclub of the wk, huh? 8 eps of gorgeous, very tempting.
O, belleza: I make those 'ginger tofucurd' ALL THE TIME!!
it's actually a chem experiment, u need older ginger (w/skin), ~ 2 tbsps of the juice at the bottom of a rice bowl (murky juice is good...the murkier the more coagulating enzymes, I use those paper teabag thingy for loose leaf tea to squeeze out only the juice fr the pulp), heat one rice bowlful of milk in some pan or microwave (preferably 2% or more) to 80C (the temp/hotness of the milk is what activate the enzymes to make curds) add sugar to taste (usu needs at least one tbsp). Set that rice bowl+ juice in the sink (clumsy me always spatter), then 'hit' it with the heated milk in a steady stream, and wait ~a min. VOILA!!
It's a showy trick (and treat)

and durian is really stinky but SUPER yummy it's like a complex Brie but sweet imo if u can get over the stink. I'm not sure if it goes well with boba milktea. Even for a seasoned durian lover, that combo is not that appetizing. That and banana soy milk.

@belleza n mookie's food talk, a lot of people in my country LOVE eating durian, when it's in season, our family will be sitting on the floor surrounding 3 or 4 durian fruit, opening up one by one, savoring each bite, and in the end licking our hand clean, coz yes, we love it that much, LOL...
my country has so many 'stinky' food that will make eating experience to the next level, making simple food more delicious, if you can stand the stink, and believe me, compare to these foods, durian is in the bottom of stink level...

@ 266 Taohua: Ooh, Ekta Kapoor talk! I rather loathe that woman, even if I do (reluctantly) applaud her 'if you don't like it don't watch it' philosophy. I don't watch Indian dramas with any regularity, occasionally when they're on tv, but, UGH. I despise most of her female leads. The girl from Yeh Rishtaa.. she does nothing but cry. 99% of female leads from Indian dramas do nothing but cry. It drives me insane. Her mother's rather cute though, even if she acts like a child. Gauri from that drama I can't remember was pretty kickass, and I loved the girl from that drama that's really popular on Viikii. Kitni Mohabbat Hai? From what I saw of that show it was rather adorable but they go on for way too long and with way too many contrivances for me to commit to the whole thing. Either way, Indian daytime tv really needs to cut out the OTT, from the often hideous makeup to the drawn-out yet predictable storylines, to turning random characters into evil caricatures. Meh.
Pakistani dramas have become try-hardy in their attempts to be modern (Indian or Western) but they have turned out some AMAZING dramas. There was one a few years back called Moorat about khusras/hijras that was some kind of amazing. I was surprised to find it on YT.
Re: Sorry Sorry Answer - Is it the shit or what?! Suju have realllly upped the music and I am in love.

Thanks so much for the enlightening ‘spoiler talk’. Looking forward to watching ep58 (waiting for Mr X’s subs).
Yay, finally a break for KNG! I noticed that a 2nd lead in a ‘popular’ kdrama will get the major lead in the next drama (there’s many examples but I can’t think of one atm). Lol But poor KNG has been 2nd lead twice and in smaller parts many times.
I loved him since Lovers. He’s so very cooool as the kickass bodyguard! To me he steals the show. :-D

The first one at the swing/park was good like how you described. But the one in ep10, the date (at the seaside) before the breakup and ep22 (confession) were disappointing. All just ‘freeze frame’ style no passion.
Now in Tamra, Park Kyu’s forced kiss was so full of passion that Beojin had to acquiesced. Lol
