FINALLY ! I had been wondering how others were italicizing, etc. . The codes for bold and italicize are crazy weird

But as with anything, HTML tags are best used sparingly!

:-) em ai doin it rite?

(Now we need a preview button before we submit comments)

...The underline codes don't work for me :-( . I was trying to overuse all the codes...but now, FAIL.

After YAB, I haven't been watching any updated K-drama seriously, I watch one epsiode of Hero and You smile...(It's okay but not quiet into it). I have been watching some J-Drama and T-Drama tho (Tokyo Dogs, Lair Game II, Hi My Sweet Heart and Autumn’s Concert). I agreed with most people above recommendations. Especially if you like Jang Geun Suk, you might like Yamapi (my fav. J actor) Try: Proposal Daisakusen, Code Blue, Buzzer Beat. I am waiting for Jan 2010 as Code Blue II (J Drama) and Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge (J Drama - from a popular comic) will be aired. In the mean time, looking forward for JGS next project. Cheers and stay warm for those who live in US.

Late to post again! Can't read all that's been said before, not enough time so I'll just wish you all Happy Drama viewing and have a great weekend.
I am having fun scrolling through the 155 posts with my new magic mouse! One flick of the finger moves about 50 posts!
Was supposed to go to my works Christmas party tonight (free drink from 7pm-9pm) but it's raining here in SCal and I'd rather stay home in the warm. That's when you know you're past it when you turn down free booze!

@mookie
Herbivores...I think it's such an interesting name for the nonmasculine men. A friend of mine did her undergraduate honors thesis on different subcultures/definition of masculine-feminine within Japanese society and how they are presented in pop culture/media and so I'm always fascinated with how different groups and changing cultural norms are presented in jdoromas. Otomen is on my watch list though since I want a low key fluffy drama.

Is it just me? After two weeks, I still have the YAB withdrawal symptoms.

@ 88 mishane: What Star Are You From?

I liked it, but mainly b/c of Kim Rae Won. I'm not very keen on Jung Ryeo Won (sp?), and I would have skipped it b/c of her if KRW hadn't been in it. But she was less irritating than I'd expected and he was good. And they are pretty cute together (but KRW manages to work chemistry with everyone he's paired with) . So yes, watch it.

You know the worst thing about OT?
Every time I come on I read some new drama that I need to see.... Who has enough time? The juggle, the struggle... but I can't miss out! Must do it, must make the sacrifice...No sleep, no eats, only Otomen and pig-rabbit treats.

Ninja Assassin is so kickass, I can't even tell you! What a blast!

Just me and 5 guys in the whole theater (hilarious). But I couldn't look like a wimpy girl in front of them, so I watched the entire thing...not one single second did I watch through my fingers. I'm not going to say I didn't flinch or gasp, but after the first 30 minutes I'd already seen so many heads and limbs sliced off and blood spurting that it just got easier as it went along.

Rain is so beautiful. SO BEAUTIFUL!!! I literally sat there with a huge grin on my face the entire time. Anyone seeing my expression would probably think I was psychotic, but I was just so happy! I still am. It was absolutely worth the wait.

"This is not my family. You are not my father. The first breath I take after killing you will be the first breath of my life."

FREAKING AWESOME.

Bonus - Ben Miles was in the movie! Any fans of the BBC show Coupling here? He's Patrick (who is famous for his...never mind). :-D

Wow... I am so glad that I have been clued into the Great Bora debate. I have to say after reading the great history poured fourth by Samsooki and considered all the evidence before me... I must go back to one of my posts where I actually recommended Snow Queen as a drama to watch. I loved it.

So I could be on the side of Save Bora or Bora Must die... but I've decided to create a whole new faction of my own. And that is "Who Cares if Bora is dead or alive when HB is on the screen looking HOT."

But I do enjoy SYR as an actress... Cute as a button and fun to watch. I want to see her new movie Rabbit and Lizzard.

ETA @168 & @169 Um... yes Rain. Bed of nails, hot body... fan girly squealing ensued at the movie... Thank you Ninja Assassin. Oh my fave line of the movie?

"He looks like he belongs in a boy band."
Rain looks up with a glare at the camera in his cell.
"There's no way he could have heard that."

There are several drool-worthy men in IRIS. LBH, of course, but Jung Joon-ho (great butt! Sorry, but it had to be said) and Kim Seung-woo are both pretty hot, too. And none of them require me to wear the ICOMYM badge.

And last but by NO means least, TOP, who rivals The Voice for being the vocal equivalent of a hot fudge sundae. For him, I wear the badge happily. :-D

Yum. LOTS to love about IRIS.

testing the HTML tag
wow this is hard

But as with anything, HTML tags are best used sparingly! Overdoing it can be annoying to read and actually diminish the emphasis you’re going for.

-edit, the underline tags didn't work TT
sorry if the above is annoying to you, i will be using the original font for next posts... :P

@Chocolate abs, Ooo... i was wondering that myself, why the hell they call it chocolate abs, and thanks to the imaginations of samsooki, ockoala n lovenyc52, i can't look at chocolate the same way again (imagining eating LBH abs), beeing the chocolate addict myself, LOL...

@BORA factions, seriously people, haven't watch SQ, so i thought you were talking about a woman named BORA, Hwang Bora?, Geum Bora? in my odd mind i even thought about the BORA on Pluto Manga, had anyone read the manga yet, it's sooooo good... well, i will just sit nicely on the sidelines and watch what the 2 (or is it now 3??) factions has to say to each other, it's more fun this way :P

@Dramas this week, Autumn's Concerto: Xiao Le is the cutest, most adorable child in a drama, EVA!!
and i am in the process of downloading the whole episodes Jewel in The Palace, wishing for faster internet connection, but i have to satisfied with mine now, i can only download 1 episode each night (leaving the download progress while i sleep, and turn off the computer in the morning), after that done, i would download Return of Iljimae, i need to appriciate that drama more than just on my DVD...

Oh yes, I like my ringtones! Thank your daughter again for figuring out how to do it. Verizon and LG made it particularly tricky on this phone, but she made it easy for me to tell Verizon exactly what to enable on the phone to allow it.

I still have Ring Ding Dong as my main ringtone - which is endlessly amusing to me. I also put Mr Pinstripe Suit - Big Bad Voodoo Daddy in there for the ringtone for my brother, but alas I don't get to hear that much.

A friend of mine just brought back BigBang's album from Japan for me, and I'm thinking of adding in the opening of GO! in there, either that or part of Promise.

@173 langdon813
I have to say that the BigBang album has me leaning towards watching IRIS. TOPs voice is like velvet. A really distinctive voice to listen to.

OTOH, I had my big play list running on shuffle in the car and Jeremy singing on the bus "Good Words" came up and I teared right up....WHOA! There are only a few songs that will do that to me, and this one snuck right up on me.

@169 Well....hadn't seen that particular clip. I may have to go watch this flick. Ahem! ::clears throat:: This might be the only ninja movie that has a demographic of fangirl to add to the usual one of ninja movie fans.....

I'm sick again and need major recommendations for this weekend, but I have a few requirements to fit with my despondent mood.

1. Awesome lead acting and chemistry
2. Devoid of cliches (i.e. 9 Ends 2 Outs, Smile You, etc.)
3. Non-melodramatic (no AC, TOAA or LY1000x please)
4. Something I can marathon within 2 days

I hope the criteria isn't too difficult...is it? I'm really not into over-dramatics these days, so probably would like light, fluffier works OR productions that have some witty scenes to compensate for the drama. Please help this *cough* poor *cough cough* sick soul?

@ xiahkixiri and other hi, my sweetheart viewers

just to clear up some things, show luo is mine. MINE.
but yes, i have a crazy bias toward my xiao zhu too, and i watched this (and hot shot) only because he was going to be in it.
i think he and rainie have great chemistry even when they're offscreen. i totally ship them, besides all the other pairings: show and selina, show and jolin, and anyone for show and elva? i love how they bicker, and both are great dancers!

the following two clips are so LAWL-able. rainie and show are so cute when they're together!

@148 mishane
This is our 3rd year for Santacon. First year we went as normal Santas...which my hubs thought was quite dull, esp. since there was this awesome pirate Santa. So last year, he went as Samurai Santa. He was a huge hit. Every bar we hit, he had complete strangers complimenting him and taking his picture.

This year, we're Superhero Santas. When we meet up with our friends, we'll be the Justice League of Santas. The only night of the year that the adults get to dress up and get smashed...and if he passes out on the lawn this year, I'm sticking a tent over him and let him be part of the xmas yard decorations.

I'm on the Save Bora team...only because I hated the way Hyun Bin cried (should take lessons from So Ji Sub or JGS on how to cry) ...therefore, Bora lives so I don't have to see HB overcry (is that a word?)

Yay for YB addiction. Why quit something that makes you soooo happy?

@ Langdon831: " I’m going to refer to it henceforth, Will I Suffer From Cliches…WISFC for short" VERY WELL PUT. I don't like Lee Kyung-hee drama in general but I feel this is the worst. I haven't seen a drama so full of cliches as this one lately. The only reason I watch it (well, skim through) is because of Go Soo and Mr. Chun Ho-jin.

@ #179 Kgirl: I recommend What's Up, Fox. It is the drama you're looking for. I think you'll love it.

@ Dramalover: I remember only White out of that series. To me, Kim Hee-sun looked the prettiest in it... out of all the dramas she did. Unfortunately I have no idea where it can be watched.

My goodness 188 comments already... Just skimmed through the thread. It got so funny from around 85 ockoala to 95 lovenyc. Such a great place to come for a good laugh. Oh, and I am, of course, with Samsooki and langdon on Bora matter.

You know as I was driving and getting stuck on 405 north(from LAX to 10 west, it took 1 freaking hour this afternoon!!! It's only about 5 miles. A typically annoying LA traffic situation... Suddenly I found myself cracking up in my car during this time remembering Samsooki's Manifest(like statement) and Ms. belleza's response to it from last night! Oh, I so treasure it. My OT families can entertain me even when I 'm away from my computer, alone in may car, stuck in the worst traffic in this country. LOL . Thank you for being here.

With YAB over, I've been watching a lot of dramas from japanese, korean and taiwanese. haha

JAPANESE
i have watched Buzzer Beat the other day and I must say I love the story. I thought it was a different feeling compare to the other j drama i have watched. I was a never a YAMAPI fan because he always have this same facial expression. LOL In a way he did improved here and the first time I thought he was handsome(never a fan of his looks either before). Keiko on the otherhand, is good. They look soo good together and omg the first time I saw a lot of kissing scense in a japanese drama. haha.

and i'm planning to watch Matsujun dramas again. I miss him T-T

KOREAN
Smile, you- I like it maybe not as much as i love YAB but it is an entertaining show. Though sometimes some scenes are boring, it is light hearted and fun, definitely a family drama. AND also the chemistry of the lead couple is awesome! :)

Creating Destiny- I was bit annoyed on how the lead couple always fight in every episode but beginning to like it more in the past few. I hope this continues to be good :D

TAIWANESE
Autumn Concerto- This drama is probably the most cliche dramas I am currently watching. BUT i LOVE IT. haha I think the way the story is pacing actually makes it interesting for me. It is not draggy and the actors are pretty good(first time I find Vanness attractive). I'm happy it only has 13 episodes. :) It may have the typical melodrama storylines but the delivery of the story and the chemistry of the two leads made it watchable. ALSO the kid is soo CUTE. XD One of the best t dramas of the year for me :)

Momo Love- I love the concept of 4 brothers being overprotective of their sister. The brothers are ADORABLE. The only problem I have in this drama is that it doesn't have "enough" spark. As the episodes goes further, you will gradually will lose interest in it. But so far, I'm still watching this because I think its still good.

Hi, My Sweetheart- a bit too over the top but ENTERTAINING. I'm one of those few people who like Rainie. i think she is adorable here. I was never a fan of Show but he is a hella funny here. Some may be turned off by the exaggeration in acting but I love those kind of dramas. haha reminds me of anime :D

Uh so my fav YB banner came up at like 12pm this afternoon and I still haven't refreshed the page...just opened a new tab. Sad huh?
@179
Hmm well I should probably reread the requirements but Flowers of My Life or Story of a Man. Also just for kicks...Love Marriage .
Honestly I think that those 3 run the gamut of what Kdramas pour out, something fun, something poignant, something addictively amazing... I hear that Black and White was excellent I think that is Chinese but not positive. Not really good at recommending other language dramas that fit your criteria :( . That's all for now to make it simple. Hope you find something. Oh and just to throw it out there... I'm currently watching Alone in Love , don't know how it ends but its definitely worth a watch.

@langdon813 and 173
So very glad you lusted... I mean liked the movie! I've already reported to drama buddy and her wheels are turning. I'm almost positive she will receive the same enjoyment you did. Thanks for the report!

I know I told you that I was going to watch IRIS, but I got sidetracked. Instead I went for CITC ( I actually wanted to see this for awhle, and with the winamp fixed(for me), I decided to watch this instead)
So far, this drama is moving at neck-breaking pace for me. It's not ROI, but some scenes reminded me of it ( why do I keep seeing a plum blossom embroidery- ROI ??). There's also some "Hwang Jin Yi" in it, too ( and I just finished that one, too). Anyway, I'm trying very hard to understand the drama - the twisted plot, flashbacks, etc is giving me a run for the money as to "concentrate" and remember all little details so that I will not trail behind... whew...I love it ( just as much as my love for good old Agatha Christie and Dan Brown). Thanks for recommending this- such a change of pace for me ( from YB to HJY and now this ;)

Gonna check out Pride since most of OT-ers recommended it. I haven't seen any jdorama since Nodame. Someone recommended Real Clothes, is it any good?

I saw What's up Fox, that was a fun series some were hilarious and funny.
Which Star Are You From, surprisingly was good too. I was kinda wondering about the title at first but glad i watched it.

Ah...I finally get to catch up on today's OT! Thank you, hotel Wi-Fi!
Greetings from the wine country. Dinner at The Farmhouse was pretty good, the Burgundy was awesome, and the cozy fireplace in our room is keeping me nice and toasty.

I was able to get hubby to watch Hansel & Gretel (behold what being stuck in a hotel room with only one TV can do), and he actually enjoyed it. (Adorable Chun Jung Myung! :D) I guess I have to try to get him to watch more kmovies, since that's about as long as his attention span lasts. ;)

He's now snoring away, while I get to spend some quality time with my OT family. :D

"Just finished first ep of Alone in Love and I think I’ve found my kdrama for the weekend! Nothing but great reviews and the first ep, though different, has this wonderful pace to it, like a cozy autumn day."

Cozy autumn day is a perfect description of AIL, and I must join in in recommending it . I don't know how some people thought it was boring, when there were countless times I found myself laughing out loud while watching this drama. Son Ye Jin and Gam Woo Sung were fantastic!

@ 78 skelly

I'm looking forward to watching Jeon Woo Chi...but beware of the soundtrack in the following trailer. Seriously. Save your ears. Press the mute button.

Beware the LYING LIAR OF LIES a.k.a. Samsooki!
He may utter sweet words of seduction, but listen...and you'll only end up getting kicked out of Eden. :P

AND ockoala (in post #124) left out an important subset of the BORA MUST DIE!!! faction -> those who feel Bora cannot and should not be save because ,i>the drama itself could not be saved.

@ langdon813

I knew you'd get a kick out of seeing Ben Miles. :)

@ Carrie

Yup. I loved the boy band line. I was the only one in the theatre who laughed, though.

@ cingdoc

So, will you be joining langdon813 in watching Conspiracy in the Court??? For all anticipating Chuno, it is a must see. heehee

@ ockoala

With all the Chuno on the brain yesterday, one would think I'd have another dream of Han Jung Soo...or maybe Jang Hyuk or Lee Jong Hyuk.
BUT...last night, I had the strangest dream of Jung Woo Sung. (Just thought I'd share ;) )
~ I was walking home through a [fictional] town, when I stumbled upon a Korean hanbok store in a sketchy neighborhood. I popped in to see what they had...and then a minute later, Jung Woo Sung walked in. I went up to talk to him, in Korean...and then somehow learned that he was just as fluent in English [in my dream], so I switched to speaking to him in English. We talked for a while (he's just as good looking in person, btw. ha), and then he had to leave. So then, I proceeded to follow him around the rest of the day...kinda stalkerish, but not really. :P I woke up with a big grin on my face, naturally. ~
