i am writing a mature response but it seems you can only dish out whenever it suits you, but when anyone disagrees and is giving you a piece of their mind, you can't take it.
You are very mistaken about one thing, i didn't like My Fair Lady so dont just assume that I did just because I disliked your Jung Il Wooooo.
He lost my respect after he decide to blame everyone else for his mistakes. I never liked him to begin with but i somewhat respected him before he showed his true colors.

I disliked him even more cause of the many excuses you made for his acting and his character. Your overpraise for this guy is pukeworthy! Enough said!

I want a puppy just like that one!!! I recently got a white shih tzu but I'm away at uni so it's left at my parents' house and its hair started falling out! It's now bald chin-down. Anyway, Il-woo's puppy reminds me of the maltese in the Taiwanese drama Fated To Love You. =)

Adorable - just adorable. He looks really good now. And what a cute puppy! :-) Hopefully he'll pick a better project next time. I know the standard was set pretty high with ROI, but something in between MFL and ROI would do just fine. I want to see him in a drama soon.

As for the antis, ever since U-know's super-glue incident I always think of them as immature 16-year-olds who just don't know better.

I assume you meant that don't assume you are bitter w/ JIW because he didn't get dragged down (by JB) w/ the rest of the MFL craze? Actually I think he got his share of criticism. JB did point out the blandness in his character. Also, she did point out that the actors in MFL are generally good, but they had to go along w/ a crazy story anyway. Actors with more screen time will generally get more comments, good or bad. JIW didn't have that privilege here in MFL.

you need to watch return of iljimae! i give him mad props for that role. sure, he's good looking and he's not spicy, but he's a dedicated actor who put his all into that character. just like we criticize actors for their lack of performance, writers need to be criticized too :) that doesn't mean you have to love the guy. but he's better professionally than a lot of actors I've seen in the market. he recognizes flaws and he's not afraid to point them out.

Yep...he's just as cute first thing in the morning. :-D

May be I'm also in the minority group but I don't find JIW attractive or be wowed by his acting neither (having said that, i still haven't watched his best project ROI). And honestly his interview in My Fair Lady really lower a few brownie points where he blames the writer/director for his character over analyzing (while the series is still airing)

I don't dislike the guy, I just can't see the sensation. JIW really owns Dramabeans a very big thanks for raising his profile/popularity among the oversea viewers.

@35 Jane: I watched ROI prior to the whole MFL fiasco, so I don't know what my reaction would've been had I been in your situation. However, I do believe in giving ppl 2nd chances, so even if I had a negative connotation abt the guy, I think he would have won me over with his ROI performance. Granted, I also give the artistry of the production and directing much credit. It definitely elevated JIW's protrayal and he grew into his acting onscreen. You can literally see the transitions of his acting ability as he grows with his character.

As for JB's love for JIW - lols - I think it's completely understandable. Many ppl judge easily, without being informed of all the facts, but JB has reasonable basis for her opinions. She spent much time watching ROI, analyzing & recapping the production, seeing the news/interviews, so she was more involved. More information usually either sway ppl to think negatively or positively - most of us, after experiencing ROI, think of JIW in a positive light.

It doesn't hurt that JIW is tall and handsome, but what won me over was the seriousness and artistic fervor he had about his profession. This perhaps was inspired by his enlightening ROI production experience (I give HUGE credit to the director/writer for sticking to their guns and making the production their own, not a broadcasting station's, netizen's, audience's, or any other outside influences').

Gosh, why am I so wordy today? The dog and JIW look very cuddly. Now if I could only get a glimpse of TY and EJ..lols.

But My Fair Lady WAS bad. I would go so far as to say let's erase it from Jung Il-woo's resume pleaase!

totally agree with #42. and I never found JIW attractive when he first came out, but now I think he's really clean and handsome. Also, I totally didn't see his remarks as unprofessional (towards the MFL script). He was respectfully questioning the direction of the show, and as a viewer, I really appreciated the honesty, especially since I was SOOOO frustrated with its suckiness. It had the potential to be awesome and honestly, I see actors as pawns of directors and writers. Not that they aren't talented or don't deserve credit! They still have to be talented and creative to truly express what is necessary for the story to be resonant with the viewers, you know?
In short, a good director+ a good script+ ok acting can still make a great product, as long as casting and direction is good.
a bad director+a bad script = bad product no matter if the actors are bad or good.

high kick through the roof is hilarious and very cute. imo, it's almost as good as the first one and getting better with each week.

this monday's episode had an awesome parody of temptation of wife and a poignant storyline with shin se kyung and the "2nd jung il woo" yoon si yoon.

i haven't seen return of iljimae but i loved jung il woo in high kick. he has a quiet charisma and an elegant face. i would call him cute more than handsome and it's true that his appeal may not be universal given his very asian features.

also, it's never cool to shift the blame around. but i was under the impression that he had also pointed out his own limitations as an actor while indirectly criticizing the script. surely, that's forgiveable.

anyway, can't wait to see this episode.

... I'm a bit irked about the flames. Sure, Jung Il Woo might have blamed the scriptwriters, but he also blamed himself for not being able to fully adapt to the character. At least he tried, people. Give him a break. He did really well in RoI. Watch that first and make your stupid comments... actually don't. Fans of IlWoo would probably not want to hear it... one of them being me. Hahaha~

I don't even think it was blaming actually... MFL really was... not that good... I was kinda excited to see it because four talented actors were starring in it, but... I think the script was have used more work... Being a writer myself, I saw a lot of holes within the stories. And the characters could have been created much more detailed and such. But that's just me.
