If having not so perfect skin, although her blemishes on her skin are hardly noticeable, makes a person be labeled as “ugly”, I must be hideous! Unless Kang Ji Hwan’s character has a REALLY high standard for “beauty”, even with Lee Jia’s “flaws”, she’s still pretty.

She can always take a trip to the dentist and dermatologist and her problems will be solved….. -_-

This might be the most objectionable movie / telecinema concept of the year. lolz. Who comes up with the stories? Isn't there a story-board editor who red-light / green-lights these ideas?

"Hey, I got an idea for a tele-cinema project..."

"We'll take your average beautiful K-actress, I'm thinking Lee Jia, and we pair her up with samsooki's KJH, and then make her have freckles and then she can be the ugly girl that KJH falls for when he has a Shallow Hal moment."

But seriously, I would take this movie thing with mountains of salt and so, with all the massive objections out of the way, I will watch this for any modicum of entertainment value it might provide and sort of gloss over the problematic message(s) that may be inherent inside.

Lee Jia may not be the world's best actress, but she has a lot of heart that comes through (i.e., see Style, say, Ep 9), and of course, my KJH has enough acting talent for both of them.

Wow, that's one crappy Photoshop disaster. The poster, I mean. The teeth are too white and stand unrealistically out.. looks really scary (it's exactly the same picture as the last shot, except with ultra-white-teeth and some photoshopped hand and adjusted hair.. and the added guy of course).

What IS the problem with having freckles? I (asian myself) never understood why asians like to put unknown chemicals on to have a perfect white spotless face. -_-

Last time I was in Hong Kong, I went in a shop to buy Raybans, the guy "suggested" me to choose larger one so it can cover mu cheeks to prevent the freckles! I was a bit offended really. I get the opposite reaction in europe, people ask me if I'm mixed becos I have freckles. So, indeed, even europeans only picture asians with plain white faces.

Wasn't she supposed to have a huge nose originally, aka Cyrano de Bergerac? That would at least have been more interesting.

I'm with you No.8. I myself have freckles as well. I'm Asian too, and I don't get hassled on too much by non-Asians about my freckles. Surprisingly, when I go to Asian stores that supplies make-up I get hated on for having freckles. I think its a rarity for Asians to have freckles, and I think Asians who have freckles should embrace that because its unique to say the least.

She's still pretty, the crooked teeth didn't do much and the blemish--since I don't see more than one--doesn't really distract from the rest of her good skin. Still, the drama looks somewhat interesting. I like the pic of her with the chimp.

I hope she stays the same, no crappy makeover or anything like that. And yeah she's not ugly what so ever, I hope Lee Jia isn't the reason because its disappointing if she is.

I always thought Lucy Liu was GORGEOUS with her freckles. To the point where I desperately wanted my own freckles. As an Asian, I have random spatters of freckles. Easily covered with foundation, depending on my mood.

for white asians having freckles (lucy liu) is not as bad when you're brownish asian with freckles (not to mention acne scars, sun spots, etc)... so it's all just an effort to make the skin look 'clean' from those spost and acne scars...

Umm... Shallow Hal anyone? And I have to join in with everyone who said that if she is supposed to look ugly, what on earth would I be considered? A monster?? I mean, COME ONE! More effort should have been made to actually "uglyfy" her... I can't even see those so called "freckles". This is like Ugly Betty where they gave her braces, a bad hair day and multicoloured clothes and said "TaDa! Ugly!" In the original Colombian version (Yo Soy Bety la Fea), she really was made up to be ugly (and it took hours of makeup because the actress is truly gorgeous) and so it was believable. This is just a joke.

Lee Jia doesn't need to make herself ugly. She's already ugly. That's why they picked her. Duh. And she's a horrible actress. She looks like she's 30 but she tries to act cute and bubbly in Style. Fuckin' annoying as hell. What's more annoying is that she gets paired up with Kang Ji-hwan. KANG JI-HWAN. He deserves so much better.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, it's a person own personal concept of beauty that makes a person beautiful. Don't look to deep into her appearance it not real. I personally don't care for a person with mess up teeth, it's extremely unattractive to me. I think your mouth is your center point., where other might have hang up with a person eyes, nose, lips....etc it 's each individual preference.

I would like to know how many episode, I hope it a least 16 because it look good. The Korean version of Shallow Hal for sure, differently not Ugly Betty, that a totally different storyline.

I love the main actor I have seen all his drama and one of his movie think he an great actor and smoking Hot!. I have seen the actress for the first time in the drama (The Legend) and thought she was great in that. Didn't care for her in BV and I didn't watch (Style) but I like her never the less
